Apple Blue Tooth Mouse wont connect

I have Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit. My Apple Blue Tooth keyboard works fine and connects but when i try the mouse it says Connecting to device.. And it says that forever and it never connects. I have the new Imac that came out this year and all updates are installed. Any ideas

You need to open up the bluetooth setting and check mark the option allow other device to find computer, then pair it once it's paired you can uncheck that option if want to be safe.

  • Apple Blue Tooth Mouse & Keyboard will not Wake Mac Pro while in Vista

I am running Vista Ultimate via Boot Camp OSX Leopard. I have a MAC Pro with apple blue tooth mouse and keyboard.
When the computer sleeps while in Vista, neither the mouse or keyboard will wake the computer. The only way to wake the computer while in Vista is to press the power button the MAC Pro.
After I wake the computer via the power button, the keyboard is unresponsive for about 2 minutes. Turning the power on and off on the keyboard does not speed up the process. The same thing happens intermittently when rebooting into Vista.
AppleCare says it's a Vista problem. Microsoft tech support says it's an Apple driver problem. Nice.
The keyboard and mouse do wake the computer when in Leopard.

Were you ever able to find a resolution to this issue? I am seeing the same perplexing grayed out box in device manager. In my case I'm using a MS Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and my machine is a Mini.
For anyone else who might happen upon this post, the exact click sequence is:
Device Manager -> Bluetooth Radios -> Apple Built-in Bluetooth -> Power Management

  • Blue tooth mouse doesn't work

A logitech m305 blue tooth mouse does not work on 15" Macbook Pro - works on the 12" however.  Any suggestions for trouble shooting?

Right, the receiver was plugged into the USB port of the computer that I was trying to use the mouse with.  And it worked on the 12" mbp and a mac desktop, but not the 15" mbp.  So, I am not sure about anything.  BTW, thanks for the Amazon picture showing the rf receiver.  I will try to download a driver for the M305 onto the 15" some day.
Ok, it sounds like you have a handle on the situation. It's still strange that the mouse won't work at all on the 15" with the correct receiver installed. Usually the basic click and tracking functions will work even without special drivers. But, as you said, you do want to install the proper software for that mouse. Also make sure you try the reset button/process on the mouse. Once in awhile one of mine likes to be a bit finicky after I move from Mac to Mac, and I have to reset it (it "pairs" or establishes the connection between the mouse and receiver).

I can't get FaceTime or iMessage to connect, I enter valid password (tested and works for Apple account) and it won't connect. I have checked all settings, upgrades iOS to 8.3 rebooted, changed Apple acount PW still wont connect. My internet connection is fine Safari works and I can access all sites. I have an iPad 2. Any help on this will be greatly appreciate.  iPad 2, iOS 8.3

This is an ongoing problem as you will see by searching the forum.
Out of curiosity, do you have 2 step verification enabled?  It was recently extended to include iMessage & FaceTime & I'm wondering if it might be causing some of the issues that some users are experiencing.

  • Pairing apple blue tooth with 2 phones.

Pairing apple blue tooth with 2 phones? Can it be done? I have an older plantronics that works no prob. but i prefer my new apple one.

No. By Default, the BT will be active on the Pearl instead of the iPhone. you have to deactivate the Pearl in order to use with iPhone. I own the Cingular 8125 and if I activate BT with the 8125, it will deactivate the iPhone. I don't know why, but that's what it does. Best thing is to own two bluetooth earpieces. Like, say, the Jawbone and the Apple BT. Costly, but you'll have the two best earpieces ever made and can use each on all devices.

  • Bluetooth Connectivity Issue with Apple Blue Tooth Keyboard

I have a blue tooth keyboard paired with my MacBook. I recently installed the latest Apple update and restarted the computer. When it fully rebooted, the keyboard was never picked up. I went into the system preferences to go through the blue tooth settings and tried to repair it or search for wireless devices. When I searched for devices, it picked up the keyboard, but when I tried to pair them, I got an error saying the keyboard was out of range and could not be connected to. I changed the batteries, turned it on and off, but still no results.
    Any ideas?
I also have a bluetooth Apple Mighty Mouse which works fine, it's just the keyboard.

I know you may feel that you've already done this, but just try me.
I'm assuming you have installed 10.4.8, and all applicable security updates for your Mac- if not, please do, before you try the below.
Remove any pairing with your keyboard in your system preferences, and turn off all the bluetooth settings, including bluetooth itself. Make sure your Mighty Mouse is off, and will not be connected during this process.
-Shut down your Mac, and make sure the keyboard is off.
-Turn on your Mac, and when it's booted, open Bluetooth preferences, and turn Discoverable on.
-Go to the devices tab, and click on the 'Set up New Device' button in the lower right corner.
-When prompted, say yes to turn Bluetooth on.
    -The Bluetooth assistant will begin.
-Select Keyboard from the list of devices.
-*Turn on your keyboard now, and then select continue.
Hopefully it will find your keyboard now, and you can continue to pair the keyboard with your Mac. When done, go back into Bluetooth preferences and turn Discoverable off, enable any other setting you would like, and under the device tab, select the keyboard, and click Add To Favourites.
    I hope you're up and working~!

  • My Apple blue tooth keyboard will not pair with my mac mini

My Apple wireless keyboard was paired with my Mac Mini. It is no longer paired. I have put in new Batteries. I have pressed the button on the top right hand section of the keyboard, the green led lights up briefly. The Blue Tooth set up assistant appears on screen and searches for the keyboard. I has brifly seen it but does not make a connection. The Magic moose is doing the same thing.

    Hi Darrell,
If your Apple Bluetooth and keyboard are not paring to your Mac Mini, then take a look at the article below to walk you through some general troubleshooting to get it to pair and start working again. If you have not done so already, try looking form anything could be causing interference like cordless phones as well and thing metal between the keyboard and the Mac Mini.

  • Blue tooth doesn't connect to other devices

My ipod nano doesn't connect via blue tooth to any devices.

What devices are you trying to connect to and for what purpose. The iPhone connects to most devices that support music, telephone. It cannot be used to connect to computers, except for Personal Hotspot, and cannot be used to transfer files. You can see this support document to see what Bluetooth profiles the iPhone does support. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647

  • Installing Blue Tooth Mouse after Tiger

I just upgraded to tiger with an iMac G4 17". I had previously installed a bluetooth USB adapter for my wireless mouse. Now, with Tiger, everytime the computer goes to sleep or screensaver, the blue tooth connection to the mouse is lost and when the computer is turned on, it tries to find the mouse. Any reason for this? How can I get it back so the mouse is always installed and doesn't lose connection? Thank you

There is one standard rule about OS X. It changes a lot with each major update (full .1 ) and messes with drivers. Go to the site of the mouse manufacturere, and see if there's an update, or a fix.
I have a standard rule, since OS X. NEVER use the driver that comes with a device. Do this:
    1. Try the device with no software, first. This si successful for almost all devices.
    2. Go to the site and download the driver. Why? Think about it. The box you buy is probably two months old by the time it hits the shelf. That's plenty of time for many bug fixes, and an update on the manufacturer's site. Mkae sense?
    Sorry for the rant.

  • HT204387 When I connect my Iphone 5C to Blue tooth it gets connected but only I can hear incoming voice. The called party cannot hear my voice. may i have the solution please.

I have just bought this expensive phone. I tried connecting to Bluetooth car kit. It gets connected but only incoming voice can be heard. No voice goes out from Iphone.
I also tried connecting to Samsung Bluetooth but the problem is same. There is only in coming communication and no out going.. But both the Blue tooth devices works fine with my Samsung SII.
A working solution help will be very juch appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. I had a plantronics 975 (which I lost, sadly). When connected, the ringer would always be routed through the bluetooth and the iPhone's external speaker. When in silent mode, the iPhone would only vibrate, but I could still hear the ringer in the bluetooth.
I just bought a new Plantronics Voyager+. Now when it's connected, all sounds are routed to the earpiece - including the taps, etc. The iPhone's speaker doesn't ring at all, unless the bluetooth is disconnected or powered off. I'd really like to be able to hear both, like I was before. This is an iPhone 3G running iOS 4 (latest version, not sure what it is exactly). Haven't updated software/firmware in between bluetooths, just changed the earpiece.

  • My IPhone 4 blue tooth does not connect with other other mobile phones. Other devices find me. Mine just keeps searching.

Tried sending a friend a photo via blue tooth from my IPhone 4 to his black berry.
His device finds me, but mine does't find his. It just keeps searching.
Am I doing something wrong, pr does IPhone not support this?

blue tooth in iphone is only for headset support means you can only connect a blue tooth head set with your phone thats about it for blue tooth functionality,
You cannot transfer files with other phones or your PC, thats the standard behaviour your phone is fie
