Apple Care - how to register it?

Hi - I've tried multiple times to register my Apple Care protection plan, as it says to do on the side of the box. I can't do it over the phone - can't even get a human being - and I can't do it online - the number is too long. I've searched the site for how to register it with no topics coming up.
Any insights? Thanks for your help.

Can anyone point out how do I find out the exact date of purchase of my mac? I would like to purchase the apple care extended warranty and I do not recall the exact date of purchase of my mac...just before or after a full year...? Can I look it up anywhere?

it tells you when your warranty expires which is 1 year after you purchased it, thats possibly the easiest way, but if you bought it from a store it may be different as it may be the date they purchased it.
With the extension program, if i purchase one now, my MBP was purchased april last year, will the extended warranty ad onto the date i purchase the extension program or from april last year when i purchased the mbp? I'm wondering because if purchase it now that effectively makes it covered for warranty for up to 4 years!

Getting graphics card replaced under Apple Care, How?

Hi everyone
I have a Mac Pro, 3Ghz Quad with 5 GB of RAM and a Radeon X1900 XT and Apple Cinema 30".
For the first few months that I had it I could play games fine on it. Then slowly it started malfunctioning on anything that is GPU intensive. At first the monitor would black out in game and then the computer would restart. I had the machine cleaned and that fixed the problem for a while. Then problems started to appear again. The machine would completely hard freeze while in-game.
I came on here and asked about the problem and found out that a lot of people who play WOW on 30" Cinema Displays with Radeon X 1900 XTs were having the same problem. It was due to the fact that the graphics card overheats (bad design on apples part). I have never played WOW but I get the same problem. They suggested using smcFanControl to up the idle speed of my PCIe/HDD fan (the fan still runs within its rated RPMs). This helped for a while when I ran the fan at 3x its normal idle speed. But I really didn't enjoy hafting to go and change my fan speed before playing a game, and games within windows wouldn't work at all.
Now my games ether hard freeze a few minuets in (under OS X or Windows), or I get graphics glitches (polygons get stretched out into infinity off of different objects). This is unacceptable considering the machine is hardly 8 months old (and I have Apple Care on it), also considering I have done nothing wrong or out of the ordinary and the GPU just deteriorated into this state on its own.
So I was wondering how I can go about getting Apple to replace my GPU for free under the Apple Care. I'm located in Guatemala and there is an apple authorized repair place here.

I would also run Apple Hardware Test in the meantime. There is suppose to be a revised 2nd generation Radeon. I know it has been discussed heavily on the WoW forums.

If your phone was damaged by you or in accidental damage, then you would be liable to pay for the repairs. Apple does not offer "loaner" phones, but if you have a credit card, they will "advance ship" a replacement to you so you can get it, then return your damaged one to them and as long as they get it back within a resonable time and it is warranty covered damage, they do not charge you for the replacement iPhone, but they do charge you a fee for the advanced replacement option (about $40-80 USD IIRC).
You can eliminate all the at by making an appointment at a local AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) and they should be able to check your iPhone on the spot. It it is covered under the warranty, they shoud replace it for free right there, and if not, they would let you know and you have the choice to make the repairs or not.

Apple Care Problem

I purchased apple care today for my imac that was 10 months old. I tried to register it online but it said there was a problem and I should call support.
I did what they said and called, the dutch lady on the other end of the phone said the apple care was already registered to my computer???? I didn't even get past the first stage of registering so I don't know how it could be!?
I just typed my serial number in the "check your service coverage" thing in support and it says I don't have apple care.
Anyone got any ideas about what I should do??

Macbook Pro 13" and apple care.

I bought my macbook pro about a year and a half ago and at the same time I bought apple care, I never registered it. Now I've had the time to settle and register it, it wont let me register it. It keeps telling me the registration number does not match the product.

You would have had to register the AppleCare within one year of the MBP purchase. You took to much time getting settled.

Apple Care a MUST? Worth?

I know and think Apple Care is worth it - how can it be sold at Apple website under refurbished for less that retail by the way?
Anyway is IT a must in that a PC laptop after one year, I kid you not, stuff starts falling off. One trip to Apple store and it pays for itself.
My machine is 2.4 256 MB GPU that was $2500, I think refurbed they are $1699, so is that my price? Notice that its $100 more than refurb $1999 newer chip, extra 1 MB cache is better that 1999 3 MB cache I suppose.

While AppleCare is sold in the Apple Store Refurbished section, the prices are not any lower than retail. The only prices lower than retail in Refurbished are the hardware. AppleCare for a MacBook Pro is US$349 in both the retail and refurbished sections of the Apple Store. It might be less if you are looking at educational or business discounts.
That said, legitimate AppleCare can be found for MUCH less than retail but you must leave the Apple Store to find it. Try smalldog.com, amazon.com, or lacomputercompany.com.

You can only buy apple care once to extend your original warranty from one year to two. You can't keep reupping it every year if I'm understanding that's what you're trying to do.
After your device is two years old it's out of warranty and not eligible for any warranty from Apple (some retailers sell you up to 3 years of coverage, but you had to get that with the device)
