Apple care warranty transfer

I am buying a Ipad 4 that is still under apple warranty. How can I transfer this Ipad to my Apple ID?

hi chris CA. you were very helpful. i hope to get the refund. when i initially called the apple support line, they told me to take the police report and apple care info to the store and they'd cover a new iPhone. When i got to the store, they told me i was out of luck. i paid close to $1,050 for a new phone. but didn't want to fiddle with the warranty having just lost all of my credit cards, photo ids. my dad bought the new phone online for me. the people at the millennia mall is orlando florida were totally nice and caring. it's just said cause when i got the warranty from apple, the store manager back home said it was better than verizon's. then my phone was stolen. sorry for the long THANK YOU CHRIS CA.

  • If i get a replacement refurbished iPhone can i get the apple care warranty with it?

im not sure about getting an out of warrantly replacement iphone 3gs and would love to know if i can get the apple care warranty if i do or does it only include the 90 day warranty?

A refurbished iPhone comes with the same one year limited warranty as a new iPhone.

You can try your homeowner's insurance company; unfortunately, the hardware warranty was most likely voided. You can read it here:

If you are referring to the extended Applecare Protection Plan:

    What about it?
Warranties on most any product cover manufacturer defects, NOT damage that you do to the product.
If you scratch your tv does the warranty cover it?

  • Apple Care Warranty? Worth it?

Is the Apple Care Warranty worth it? I'm buying a new mac, and am thinking 1 year coverage may be good enough.

I have been using Apple products since the Apple IIe - before they had GUI and a mouse (the Macintosh). I never bought AppleCare for any system I owned before we started purchasing iPods and laptops.
Neglected to purchase it on a 2nd gen iPod for my wife several years ago (the first we owned) and all was well until a few months after the original warranty expired. Wish I would have purchased it, would have been cheaper than the options.
Purchased it for my son's first iPod (don't recall which version). Used it twice on it. More than payed for itself.
From then on I purchased it for everything I buy from Apple. I am so glad I did.
Purchased a refurbished MBP in 2006 since I was returning to school. First laptop I ever owned. Have used AppleCare for it on three occasions outside the normal warranty (very recently as a matter of fact). Payed for itself on the first use.
I have also purchased it for my current MBP (early 2008). I am still within the normal warranty period, but am about to put it to use to try to cure the dreaded "unresponsive keyboard/trackpad" problem.
All anyone has to do is look around and see what components like the screen, logic board, top case, etc. cost and you will see that it will almost always pay for itself on first use. If it is a mobile Apple product, I would never again consider not getting AppleCare.
As for the desktops, have no idea as the last tower I purchased was a Dual G4 MDD, that only had one repair to the Iomega Zip drive (Iomega's replacement of a known bad batch). Never purchased AppleCare for it and it still runs like a champ - most dependable Apple product I ever purchased. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case with Apple.

  • Transfer apple care warranty

hello: i purchased a new apple iPhone 6. bought the warranty plan. it was stolen while i was in florida. can i transfer the never used warranty from the stolen phone to the brand new replacement that i paid full retail for.

  • Will replacing the battery in my MBP void the Apple Care Warranty?

I have a 15 inch 2010 Macbook Pro. I'd like to replace the hard drive, and I've found various videos and sites with instructions. There are two questions that I can't seem to answer though. Are there certain brands or speeds I will need to use, and does replacing the hard drive void the three year Apple Care I bought with the MBP?

Replacing the hard drive does not void the warranty nor AppleCare, though if you cause any damage doing the replacement, that could void the warranty, and of course the warranty will not cover the third-party hard drive. Replacing the battery, as your subject line says, will void the warranty, the battery not being user-replaceable if you do indeed have the 2010 MBP.
Others here can probably comment re. drive type; brand won't matter unless there is a cable for the thermal sensor in the MBP as there is in some other systems in which case drive would have to be of the same brand for the cable connector to match up.
    Regards.

  • HT3302 My phone got water damaged but it still functions well the speaker though did get damage unable to hear while placing a call. Is it fixible? i havent purchased the apple care warranty.

How much is the cost for repairing a device with water damage but has no apple care insurance.

    deggie wrote:
For clarification Apple will do an out-of-warranty replacement for water damage regardless of the damage. If a truck runs over it and it is in many pieces in a bag they may not replace it.
deggie, sorry to disagree, but I've had Apple Stores tell me (as well as Apple's Repair Depot) that if the water damage has gotten too severe (such as causing excessive corrosion inside the device), they may opt not to allow the OOW replacement.  It's always at Apple's final discretion whether or not a device is or is not BER (Beyond Economical Repair).  Basically, if there's not enough worth to salvage from the device to make it worth Apple's time, they can refuse the OOW replacement.
It's wiser to prepare for the worst and then be delighted when the reality is better.

  • Can we buy apple care warranty after my iphone has been dented?

And also, is apple care purchased when you purchase your iphone?

    From the support site:
    Important notes
AppleCare+ must be purchased within 30 days of the date you bought your new iPhone. If you did not purchase AppleCare+ with your iPhone, you may purchase it at an Apple Retail Store.  To buy AppleCare+ at an Apple Retail Store, a Genius will first need to verify your iPhone purchase date and confirm that your iPhone has no pre-existing damage.

  • Apple care warranty is a bent case covered?

So I dropped my mac pro when I was resetting the smc.
Does apple care cover the case?

Under the circumstances unlikely. Shipping damage would be the only covered case damage and then covered by a claim with the shipper.

  • Does apple care warranty cover mighty mouse?

    hi.
as many has experienced, i experienced problems with scrolling up and/or down w the mighty mouse. i tried to clean it with a few methods, and the one that worked was when i used a clean piece of paper, turned the mouse upside down, and rubbed it forwards and backwards several times.
unfortunately, it now seems that i might have solved the scrolling problem (but its slowly not scrolling as well already!). but i cant activate the 3rd button anymore. i press down on the ball and instead of activating the 3rd button, it right clicks or left clicks instead.
i also notice the ball is not as smooth as before. there is some fraying on the surface of the ball.
my intel imac has apple protection care plan till june 2009. can the mighty mouse be replaced?

Actually in 2 months my Mighty Mouse will be 3 years old.

I have an air compressor with an air drier on it, you can buy canned air at any electronics store.

No, like Kenichi say's nail polish removers are way to strong and drinking alcohol is way to sticky.

  • Voiding my apple care warranty

If I install a hard drive myself would I be voiding the warranty? If I have a shop install it that is not Apple certified would I be voiding my warranty? I sure with that AppleCare had a chat interface or a email interface so I could send them these questions, as I cant always call them.
    John

No. But any damage you cause while replacing the drive will not be covered by the warranty. This would apply whether you or someone else does the job.
