Apple change in T's & C's

I just heard a rumour...and it may only be that.... that Apple have in the last few weeks change the terms of the developer licence
so that the company that owns the content, must be, or have their own developer licence.
So for the likes of many of us, all of our clients would have to have their own developer licence, and then we, the producers, would have to submit our apps
under the content owners licence.
Any one else heard of this? or is it just a load of rubbish?
Alistair

Legally, the one whose name is stated as the "developer" is also the "responsible publisher". So in case there's something legally wrong with your app, Apple needs to know who has to be held responsible e.g. for the content. Developers who work on projects that legally need to be "published" should be using their client's log-in to submit the app on their client's behalf.
Just think of the riot I could start by submitting an app with lots of stuff Apple won't approve, disclaiming it's mine, and stating that it someone else's app and content. But that someone tells Apple they don't know anything about an app, being put up with their name on it as the "publisher". Therefore, the developer needs to be the publisher as well.
That's why Adobe has this special "Agency" clause in their Professional Edition contract, making it possible for you to submit folio's that are legally not yours. But Apple prefers not to go into that direction.

  • How Can I choose Iphone 5s models that work with LTE in Brazil. The Iphone needs to Support Band 7. If I buy the wrong model can apple change it ?

I am planning to buy an Iphone 5s in October, but I have to make sure that the model will work with the LTE services we have in Brazil. I know that Apple made 2 Models that support Band 7. See Below.
    Model A1457*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20)
    Model A1530*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20); TD-LTE (Bands 38, 39, 40)
How can I make sure I will buy the correct model through the internet ? Can Apple change the Iphone In case they send the model that does not support LTE services in Brazil ?
    Thanks,

Have you personally tried those models with Brazilian LTE networks? Do they work? If so, fine.  If not, then besides that, there is the problem of the warranty which is not international. The user will have to return the phone back to the country of purchase for both warranty and out of warranty service. So what might seem cheaper at first glance might not be in the end.
Anyways, it your money and the OP's should he want to go ahead with your recommendation.

The first G4 models were basically a repackaged/upgraded G3 & came in 350 & 400MHz models. This design was called PCI version. The next G4 models were AGPs. This link http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g4/index-powermac-g4.html has the specs/pictures of all the G4 models.

Removing the battery causes all settings in the internal memory to be reset, just like resetting the PMU/CUDA. See Mac PRAM, NVRAM, CUDA/PMU & Battery Tutorial

  • Did Apple changed the Expose & Dashboard keys in the MacBook Pro?

The new MacBook Air came with two new keys, mission control and launchpad. Did Apple changed the keys in the MacBook Pro they are selling or are they selling them with no change, because since now the dashboard is in a different place the key is useless.

No they did not, but I fell like they should replace the icons on F3 and F4 since they are so much easier to get to using gestures.

  • In the latest iOS updates, did Apple change the way Airplay communicate with other devices through Wifi?

    Short :
In the latest iOS updates, did Apple change the way Airplay communicate with other devices through Wifi?
    Detailed:
We had a glitch with our Apple TV 3A 3-4 weeks ago and had to factory reset it (we reconfigured it with the exact same configuration than before the crash), it's now running iOS 7.0.2, I can't saw which version it ran before the problem though.
It's used in a business environment with 30+ iPads 2, half of them are updated to 8.1.1 and the other half to 8.1.2. We use the latest iTunes version.
Before the glitch that required a reset, all the iPads were detecting and mirroring when needed to the Apple TV, but now the iPads don't see the Apple TV in their list of Airplay devices anymore (but they detect various other devices inside our network).
I have to add that our Apple TV is able to navigate the movie store correctly, so I assume that it's not an internet restriction issue from our end (also, the APple TV do not see either any of the many iPads on its device-detection screen.
We successfully connected an iPhone 5S and an iPhone 6 through P2P Airplay, so it's not the issue, but when we connected the iPhones to our Wifi network (Same as all the other devices are using) the Apple TV suddenly disappeared from the choices.
Hence the reason why I inquire to the possibility that some changes were made in one of the latest iOS revisions, if so, we would require some details so we can adjust our Wifi configuration accordingly to allow the proper detection of devices.
P.S. I tried the basic troubleshooting of Airplay problems with no avail. Airplay button is displaying on the control panel, Airplay do not show the Apple TV at all (so it's not either the trick to display the Mirroring button), we also already proceeded to the suggested devices reboots, so my issue is quite more complex I believe.
    Thanks in advance.

I Have the same issue on a brand new iPad mini 2. My battery is only lasting up to 5 hours. I went on chat with Apple last night and they said my battery is fine and its a Safari issue. I'm literally losing 1% every 3-4 minutes. I tried recalibrating my battery, signing out of iCloud, shutting off all locations, turning off background app refresh, restoring network settings, restoring all, and finally restoring from iTunes with no luck. This is just awful. I got this iPad so I could use it on my long flight for a trip I have coming up, and unfortunately, it's not going to last that long, plus I'm concerned about how many times i will be recharging my battery because of this since battery's do have a life cycle dependent on the number of charges. This is frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP and addressed by Apple.
By the way, Apple told me to bring my device to the Apple Store because it's still under warranty. That's great and all, but I'm going to waste my time if there is no fix for this issue.
Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

  • My iphone 5 not working will Apple change it?

My iphone 5 not working at all ,will Apple change it?

Yes.  If the repair/exchange is not covered by warranty you will pay for that.

  • Still cannot log in to my account (after Apple changed these boards)

After Apple changed these boards I could no longer log in. I tried for days. I gave up and created a new account. I have tried posting about this but only got a few responses from people with similar problems. One said he contacted Apple about this but did not say how. I have tried by filling out forms and sending notifications but have not gotten any replies from Apple.
All my years of history and whatever level I had achieved appear lost. Does anyone know how I can reach someone in charge - or someone that can help me get back my old account?
    Thanks.
*By the way, these new boards...at the bottom it says Categories, but only has three options. Shouldn't "questions" be an option? I mean, for example, in what category should I label this post?

    Hello Don
I've been trying to reach anyone at Apple about this. At the same time, Apple has me signed up for "Appleseed Software Customer Seeding" for the new Lion. They recently contacted me telling me to go to the discussion boards for a survey. I took advantage f this and replied explaining that I can no longer get in (under my other long standing account). I did get a email reply yesterday as follows:
    George,
    This should be resolved now.
    Thanks.. Kyla

Unfortunately, it's not true. It still does not work.
Is this the "host" you are referring to?
Or can I still expect to get something from someone else?

  • Apple changes the philosophy of FCP X or lose followers professionals. Change to Avid or Premiere

Apple has forgotten his followers FCP?
Apple change the philosophy of FCP X or lose followers professionals.
    Change to Avid or Premiere

So I'm sitting here trying to decide our future. X is clearly not usable. I cannot simply abandon hundreds of hours of HD footage shot in the last 10 years on HDcam tape. And without connections to the real professional world it's not worth the download. Apple didn't create FCP X they created iMovie-Plus. Great for the consumer with some great functions and features, but they put the system out of reach of professionals.
It's all fine. I never trusted them to be serious in the professional realm anyway, not with the cumbersome design of the various Final Cuts. But where to go from here. Even if I were to convert all our footage to files, what format to use? ProRes? It's great but I have to check to see if Premiere will read it. 10-bit uncompressed? Again, what in the future is going to read that? And talk about storage. Ironic, because all the footage is already stored/archived—on magnetic HD tape.

i want to downgrade my 2011 mac mini server to mac os x i have the disks but the mini willl not reboot the apple changing to a circle with a line please help-

bpruse,  I may be completely off-track for your issue, but I had a similar situation where I wanted to downgrade a Mac Pro from Server to plain OS X and it would not boot from the OS X install disk.
I was attempting to use a full-install OS X.6.x disc with an earlier SL version than that which originally came installed on the Mac Pro.  After two or three hours of fiddling, I figured it out and used the discs that came with the system.
However, I don't know how that would work in your case if this is the mini server-version.  I'm sure the disks would only have Server on them.  Worse-case scenario, find out which X.6.x the OEM disc is installing and get an OS X disc with a new installer.
    HTH.

  • Does apple change the old products such as new ipad 3 with new products?

Does apple change the old products such as new ipad 3 with new products?

If you mean 'Can I bring in my 3 and swap it our for a 4' no. They don't do that.
If you  have a broken 3 and take it in for a warranty replacement, you'll get the same make and model in return.
The only way you can exchange a 3 for a 4 (let's say, using those as an example) is if you bought your 3 14 days or less before the 4 is released. You can return the 3 and get a refund then use that to purchase the 4.
So for an occasional 14 days before the release of a new model. That's the only time for mixed model exchanges. Beyond that it's like for like.
If you have a 3 and want a 4, sell your 3 then use the proceeds towards your 4.

  • Is it real? apple change to new ipad If i bought ipad in a month?

My friend sad apple change to new ipad. If people buy in a month..
    Is it right?

If you bought it from Apple then there is normally a 14 day returns period, though apparently some US stores are extending that to 30 days - I haven't seen any posts about the same extension in other countries. If you bought the iPad from a different store then you will need to check that store's returns policy (Apple won't accept iPads bought from other companies).

  • Can Apple change my Backcover of my iPod touch 4g?

Hey I´m new here and I´m from Germany
    I have a questiton
Can Apple change my Backcouver of my iPod touch 4g?
    My Backcover is very broken!
    Thanks for answers.

I xdoubt it but yu can call a local Apple store and ask them. Typically they do not repair your iPod.  Instead they exchange it for flat fee with a refurbished one.
I would expect there are third-party places that will replace the back.
