  • Hey does apple charges for free applications mentioned in Itune??

Yesterday i bought a Apple IPAD2. i have connected my IPAD2 to itunes at that my there was no applications in it. I have installed some free applications listed in the Itunes. i m curious about, does the apple charge for the free applications as well ??

If it says free, there's no charge, but, Apple may place a $1 authorization hold to verify your account then credit the account within 24 to 48 hours.
iTunes Store & Mac App Store: About credit-card authorization holds
The apps that are on the iPad when you buy it are pre installed by Apple and cannot be deleted.
For purchased iTunes media, you can re download without being charged again.

  • Charged for Free Applications?

I downloaded several apps that were marked "Free" and then looked at my credit account several days later and saw that I was charged 1.08 for several of them. Is there some random charge that I don't know about?

Free should be Free check the email receipt that iTunes sends you and check your downloads against this to cross check. Also check here

  • Why is apple charging for free app

I downloaded 2 apps marked as Free but why is Apple still charging my credit card for it?

If it's $1 per app, that's an authorization hold which will be refunded to your account usually within 72 hours.
iTunes Store & Mac App Store: About payment card authorization holds
Apple does verify for security purposes that it's you downloading the apps.

  • Will apple charge for free downloads through itunes

Hello Team, i have recently started accessing itunes on iphone 4 of my sister. While i was logging in or downloading free apps, i see my cr card linked in the apple profile is being charged. Pls help to get this issue resolved. thx, Gopi

Free downloads are free...the credit card is often linked until you finish and then is released if nothing is to be charged against it.

  • Does Apple replace your charger for free

I've had a couple of chargers since I got my iPhone 5 a year ago. I've always bought a new charger, but lately someone brought to my attention that Apple can replace your charger for free.. I'm just wondering if that's true.

If the iPhone has been covered by an extended warranty beyond the one year so that it is still covered and the charger is not damage but has a problem with materials or workmanship then yes Apple will cover it.

  • Any charge for free app and issues at Apple Store?

In case we need to create free issues or even apps for iPad (from a non-profit organization), what will the incurred costs be through the whole process?
i.e. From the time of development of issues and the app in which the issues may work - is there any registration or license fees involved, till it reaches all customers - provided the package is for free?
Any charge for free app and issues at Apple Store for iOS apps for iPad?

You must pay the USD$99 fee to join the Individual Developer Program.
After that, there is no fee to put free apps into the iOS App Store.

  • Why does Apple charge for Apps that are FREE? That's my concern.

Why does Apple charge for Apps that are FREE? That's my concern.

    Free means Free....
As both Johnathan and Demo have indicated, if it says Free there is no charge associated with it. If you upgrade to a "Pro" version, or if you do in-app purchases, then it is no longer free....but when you initially install the app, you do not pay anything if it says "Free".
And "Yeah? I'll show you" does not help us to understand what you are talking about. If you want help, then provide specifics and we will help you to figure out your misunderstanding.

  • I keep getting charged for free games

I am always trying to get charged for free games??

Are you asking this because your Apple ID password is requested before downloading the free game?
Downloading any app requires the password. Also required is a payment method filed with Apple. For free apps, games included, you will not be charged.

  • HT3702 Itunes charged for free app download (Update).

Itunes charged for free app download (Update). No clue why this happened. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?

If you mean the temporary store holding charge, as described on the page that you posted from, then that is only temporary, it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.
That 'charge' is made each time that you change your card details to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account.
If you mean a 'proper' charge, and it appears on your purchase history and on your credit card, then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Searching only for free applications

    Hi,
While looking into a specific category, we have paid or free applications in the App store both in iTunes and in the iPhone.
However, while doing the search, is there a way to look only for free applications?
    Thanks

This cannot be done when accessing the App Store from the iPhone.
You can submit feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.
When using the Power Search in iTunes on the computer, there's a checkbox to search for only free apps. The App Power Search is here:
