I receive 2 or 3 e mails a day informing me how to reset my Apple ID. Does this mean someone is trying to break into my Apple account? If so, how do I change my Apple ID without changing my e mail address? (can this be done?)
I would tend to assume that these are phishing emails trying to get you to click on a link and then divulging private information. Can you take a look at the extended/full headers to figure out where it actually came from? If you're worried it might be from Apple, go into your account and make sure all is well there. And no, you cannot change your Apple ID.

On the top left of my computer screen there are what look like the bottom half of small grey and white squares stacked on top of each other. They form a line about three inches horizontally along the top and they cover half of the regualr bar (so half of the apple sign int he corner is covered) and I cant seem to get rid of them. Is my hardrive crashing or being hacked?
I have never seen DEVELOP on the menu bar for Safari, hence my query regarding testing.
What OS are you using and what version of Safari?
If you want to check your HDD, Open Disk Utilities>First Aid and run Verify and Repair.
The only remedy that I can think of that may work is an OS reinstall.
I seriously doubt that your MBP is being hacked.

How can you tell if your computer is being hacked
We got a call this morning from someone at Microsoft stating that our computer is being hacked. I don't trust this notification.

My daughter used her friends apple account to login on her ipad and then the mother of her friend thought it was being hacked and consequently tracked the ipad and my daughter lost all her photos. Can we get these back?
Your iOS device backup only includes data and settings stored on your device. It doesn’t include data already stored in iCloud, for example contacts, calendars, bookmarks, mail messages, notes, shared photo albums, iCloud Photo Library beta, My Photo Stream, and documents you save in iCloud using iOS apps and Mac apps.

I logged in to my device in my laptop and I discovered that another device is also connected to my apple ID. When I find MY I PHONE, I can also view the other device exact location. Is my account being hacked or hijacked? Please help...
I guess you're talking about iCloud? Yes if you can see two devices it would appear that someone else can get into your account. Best change your password.

After installing Reader 11.0.07 update on my iMac OS X, v.10.8.5, when I open an Adobe pdf file I see Chinese script next to the blue loading bar at the bottom of the screen. This never appeared before when downloading pdf files and I am worried that my computer is being hacked into or I acquired a virus. Is this normal or do I have to uninstall this update?

HELP! My mums computer is being hacked?
I am not a genius but do think I can tell that my mums macbookpro has got a viris or is being hacked. Lots of strange things have been happening to itand it i getting on my nerves.
Strange things that have happend:
(in order of time they took place)
1. Background changed to defalt mavericks one
2. Background changed to plane light blue and when I went to change it told my the name of the background was ?
3. My mum was buying an itunes card for me on itunes and It told her to type in all her creidit card info (she never has to because on keychain)
4. This morning her computer told me that someone else was useing our ip address (i know the router didint have anything to do because we have never touched it and its fine on my macbookpro)
I know it doesnt seem like much but it should not be happening!!!!

If the desktop picture always reverts to a plain blue background, one of your login items may be causing the problem. The "TeamViewer" application can have this effect; see this thread. If it's not that in your case, rule out all other third-party login items as possible causes. -
Seems i can not log in to my Apple ID account...been trying it for a lot of times.it says when I log in " I am pretending to be...etc and that my account might be at risk? Is my account being hacked for this matter? Need help.thanks!
I have now been able to log into my accounts for IMessage and to ITunes store; however, they are still unresponsive. My messages do not go through and the Store is still laggy as well. I will keep updating this discussion as I am constantly checking so I can use the Cloud and IMessage again.

My orginal Apple ID was hacked, so I changed my Apple ID. I did not create a new ID. I have changed my ID on my profile on my MacBook Pro. However now I have an update for factory installed software iPhoto and iMovie that is asking for the old ID. How can I get the updates or force them to use the new ID that I am using for every other Apple product I own.
You'll have to talk to Apple about AppleID and account issues, we are just other users here.

Dear Apple support, how can i delete my itunes account as i think im being hacked!! over the past few months a lot of money seems to be taken from my account ranging from as little as £1 to £60... i cant take any more. Go into your iTunes account and eliminate the payment method to none. Then change the password. FInally notify iTunes support of your problem. You will find ways to contact iTunes support on this website. Email works very well with iTunes support.
You do not want to delete your account and there is no need to do that to prevent further hacking. The reason is that any purchases of music, Apps, movies or whatever made with your iTunes account will be associated to that account and you can redownload them if you change iPhones, get an iPad or to your computer. If you were able to delete the account, which you cannot do, you would have to repurchase everything. -
How can I check if I am being hacked? I think I am!
I am very suspicious that I am being hacked....like the kind where they can watch your screen and see through your webcam. How would I go about checking to see if this is true? Is there a way?
My computer has been freezing up and three times now a message box has popped up with the icon of the yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside, but before I can read what it says or manually close it, it goes away......
Also, I had posted this question before, along with a similar post on here yesterday, and they were beginning to receive comments back, and now they're gone. I haven't deleted anything from here, so does apple remove my posts, or is someone else....?

Hacking of webcam control need not be a concern for Mac OS X users.
If you are using Windows, you are wise to be cautious and take every possible precaution against Windows' security weaknesses, whether running on a PC or on a Mac (and whether via OS X Boot Camp or one of the PC emulators that runs inside OS X.)
For OS X Macs, the only way I know to make the webcam "hackable" would be for you (or someone else who had access access to your Mac) to modify or somehow damage your Mac or its software. Unless an "administrator" of your particular Mac has installed, activated, and authorized Apple Remote Desktop or some other software for remotely operating your Mac, it is highly unlikely that anyone can be using your cam without your explicit permission and action. The reliable way to prevent this is to carefully control physical access to your Mac so it cannot be modified.
However, if you are convinced that your Mac has unwanted software that you cannot identify, securely erase your entire startup disk. Then reinstall a fresh copy (not from your backups) of OS X and all necessary apps and updates. Finally, copy your important user data files to the fresh system from your backup to your fresh system.

Address book icon is suddenly disappearing. It is now just 1/2 visible. Am I being hacked?
First time I need to ask a question. Am I being hacked? The icon on the bottom of the screen for my Address Book, the little gold symbol, just got tons of lines on it and now has only half the picture visible. When it first happened today, I turned the computer off, did it 2 more times, looked and installed "software updat" but now it is getting smaller and smaller. Am I being hacked, if yes, what do I do?

Apple will never send you an email asking you to verify your Apple ID credentials.
If you ever receive an email such as this again. do not reply, do not call. Forward the email to the reportphisihing email address above then delete that email.
