Apple Configurator: "Policy does not have correct profile data."

I keep getting the message "Policy does not have correct profile data." when I'm trying to prepare new devices in Apple Configurator 1.2. Existing devices work fine, and I was able to prepare a few new devices before getting this error. Any advice besides "wipe and restart" AGAIN?

defaults delete com.apple.configurator PreprationSavedPolicyDefaultsKey
should eliminate the problem, though it will partially reset the default settings in the Prepare pane. Did you delete a configuration profile that had been checked in the Prepare settings?

The profile on the MAC server has been deleted and the iPad has been erased and reset to default. Run the application 'Terminal.app' which you will find in '/Applications/Utilities' on your Macintosh.
Type this into it: defaults delete com.apple.configurator PreprationSavedPolicyDefaultsKey
Hit the return key.
If you get no error message, it worked, and you can quit the app.

Internet Connection - Your Apple wireless device does not have a valid IP.

I just bought an Apple TimeCapsule and set it up normally, following instructions to my Arris cable network on the Videotron provider here in Quebec, Canada. The TimeCapsule did appear as a wireless device on my MacBook Pro (after updating the AirPort software from the provided CD - as was instructed). I went through the whole installation process to obtain at the end this error:
Internet Connection - Your Apple wireless device does not have a valid IP.
The only provided instructions were to check the cable and then contact your Internet provider. Well it seems clear to me that if I contact my provider and say that the internet connection works fine directly on my computer, also fine through my "normal" wireless router but not with my new TimeCapsule, I won't get much of a response.
After a lot of research, a friend indicated the solution in my case.
You have to really reset the cable modem to convince it to start giving out IPs again.
To do this:
1. Unplug your TimeCapsule (possibly you might have to reset to factory defaults - see the documentation)
2. Unplug your cable modem
3. Reset your cable modem by pressing the reset button with a pen (or something) for several seconds.
4. Plug your cable modem back in and let it reboot/restart - until the lights are back on.
5. Plug in your TimeCapsule
Everything should now work and you can restart your AirPort set-up on your Mac.

My ISP is AOL. The service is DSL via a broadband modem. Somewhere during the setup process there appears to be a communicatiosn issue between the Airport Extreme Base Station and the DSL modem. When I hook the DSL modem directly to my iMac I can connect to the internet without any issues.
I tried the factory reset and the DSL modem reboot process described in other posts and seemed very close to success...until the internet setup step. That is where this issue first presented itself.

Lightroom 4 purchased through Apple App store does NOT have a serial number - cannot upgrade to lightroom 6

I am trying to upgrade from Lightroom 4.4 to Lightroom 6 on a Mac running OS X (Lion). I have purchased Lightroom 6 as an upgrade (as I am running Lightroom 4). The Lightroom 6 installer continues to indicate that it cannot find a "qualifying product" and asks for a declaration of the Lightroom product installed and its serial number. I am currently running Lightroom 4 purchased through the Apple App Store in 2013; according to all the information I can glean regarding this product... it does not have a serial number (if it was purchased through the Apple App Store). Does anyone have an idea on how to supply a valid serial number for the Lightroom 6 installer?
iMac running OS X 10.9.5
Adobe Lightroom 4.4 (purchased in 2013 through Apple App Store)

As I said in the post, a serial number was not necessary to install it; the Apple downloadable version doesn't seem to be serialized. I have not uninstalled Lightroom 4; it is still running, but apparently in its present form it doesn't provide a serial number for the Lightroom 6 upgrade to use.

Change the character screen by using the ' #+= ' button on the top row of characters, you'll find the ' - ' charcter at the end of the 5th row.

For security/privacy reasons recent versions of browsers by default do not send local file path information from File Browse items to the server, nor expose the file path in the control's JavaScript methods. IE6 & IE7 still yield the path in Windows format. IE8+ adopted an irritating approach of replacing the path with a wholly imaginary "C:\fakepath\"—and this monstrosity has sadly had to be enshrined in the HTML5 spec so we're now saddled with this everywhere...
Changing IE's security config setting "Include local directory path when uploading files" enables the path to be exposed, which appears to be the most likely explanation for this.

Input field in Web Dynpro ALV does not have correct focus

Hello Friends,
Our client's SAP system is recently upgraded with ECC 6.0 SP 18.
After that the focus in the editable field of Web Dynpro ALV does not working properly by down arrow navigation.
The common scenario:
The ALV has more than one rows and one column is editable...
when user is selecting field of first row and making some entries...
after that pressing down arrow it is going to next row and coloring the field like focusing...
but the 'cursor' is not blinking so user can not make entry without clicking by mouse...
this was working Ok before upgrade...
Could you please anyone have a look and propose a suitable solution?

The problem was with Javascript....which play an important role in layout of web dynpro ALV...
which resides in MIME repository -> SAP ->PUBLIC - >BC ->NW5 ->JS ->SAPURI_Ie6....
We wrote to SAP for giving us the fix...
after we got a new file from SAP the problem is solved...
also we have to clear server cache through SMICM and client cache...

Apple online store does not have idea even they charged my card.

I tried to make a purchase from apple online store , it was 11/15 morning around 9:30 am ... eastern time.
I tried to buy an IPHONE 5S GSM 16GB TMOBILE SILVER by splitting charge in to two different cards .
Well , the transaction did not go thru , everything was normal ; till I saw the charge in my wells fargo account for 174.43 USD and called the bank , learned that the amount debitted from my account was a charge "not an authorization". Bank told me to call Apple and connect them to merchant services of Wells Fargo so I called APPLE ONLINE STORE at 11/15 around 16:15 and spoke with online agent JOSH and made a conference call with WELLS FARGO MERCHANT SERVICES ...
Wells Fargo confirmed to JOSH that it was a charge even JOSH could not be able to find & match the charge with related credit card number. Only thing JOSH advised me was to wait till tomorrow morning ...He told " It should dissappear from my account "... On the other hand wells fargo told I can claim a dispute but the it will take 10 business days for me to get reimbursed. So who is responsible for the $174.43 vaporized from my account by APPLE and they do not know about that ?
NOW I'D LIKE TO ASK A BASIC QUESTION TO ALL YOU HIGH IQ LEVEL GENIUS PEOPLE OF APPLE INC. ; HOW COME YOU DO NOT KNOW THAT YOU CHARGE A PERSONS CREDIT CARD ?

Well, it seems to me that you were told that a credit would be issued and to wait until tomorrow. I'd suggest you do that, though I'd recommend waiting until perhaps Monday, or at least Sunday, since it may take a day for your credit card company to process the credit.
If by Monday you haven't seen the credit arrive in your account and your credit card company confirms that they haven't received it, call Apple Support, ask to speak with someone in Customer Relations, and calmly explain the situation to them and ask for assistance in getting a quick resolution.

If you have an email account that you want to delete, go to Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Email Account>Delete account.
If you have on old Apple ID that keeps popping up when you update apps, that old ID will always be tied to those apps and you must continue to use that ID and password when you update those apps.
If you want to completely sign out of that old account, and nothing on your iPad is still tied to it, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores. Tap on the old ID and sign out. Then sign in with the new one

Why is it that Apple Iphone 4 does not have any animated wallpapers?

I love my iphone 4 but would really love to have animated wallpaper!

It's not a feature of the iPhone. No one but Apple knows why they do things but in this case, I'm guessing it's not there because it offers no user benefits and will only use unnecessary resources. IMO, it's just a gimmick that gets old very quickly. If you really want to modify your smartphone, get an Android, not an iPhone.

Passband IIR filter does not have correct cutoff

I am trying to implement a bandpass filter using the digital IIR filter vi. The input comes from a signal generator and the output is displayed as a waveform on the screen of my PC. When I test it out by varying the frequency of my input, the cutoff is always not where I programmed. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Is there some limitations of the software filter which could explain this phenomenon?

The amplitude of the desired signal is around 0.5V.The frequency can change by around 20Hz.

I am not aware of the amplitude of the interfering signal but the frequency would be broadband.
How much attenuation of the desired signal is

The attenuation of the signal is not so crucial as it can be amplified but the phase is important. As the filter signal will eventually be used to drive an external circuit, any phase shift would reduce the accuracy. My computer is acting as the feedback since I am not using any hardware, my pc is actually filter the input signal and feeding it back to the system. So any delay or phase shift would not be undesireable.
How much of the interfering signal can the system
tolerate after the filter? Or, How large must the output signal to
interference or noise ratio be?
My estimate is that the interfering signal be -10dB below the desired signal.

We recently purchased 26 iPads for an elementary lab. THe Apple Configuration tool does not do enough to help us lock students out of the settings folder to keep them from making changes. Is help on the way, or is there a third party solution available?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to completely lock out Settings. Apple designed iPads to be personal devices where user is "King"…which makes it a pain for school tech admins like you and I to manage. Apple only allows certain features and restrictions for 3rd party vendors to work with. So unfortunately there isn't a way to completely lock out Settings by a 3rd party vendor.
What settings are the kids changing? Perhaps there's a workaround that could help (until Apple makes things more school/enterprise friendly).

the message means something went wrong the last time it was saved.
Try this create a new document then go file place and place the file in the new empty document. then resav that if successful.
Or behind door number two try to open it in Acrobat.
