Apple dealer locator in Asia?

This isn't the best place to post this, but I don't see any better options; I want to buy an iMac in Vietnam; I understand there's a certified dealer in Ho Chi Minh City; I'm looking for one in Hanoi. Is there a web resource for locating a legitimate Apple retailers overseas?

The only online page I can think of is:

This lists the various dealers they have in Japan, U.K., and the U.S.A.
You can also take a look at the various links on the page at:
http://www.apple.com/buy/
You might find something of use there. I'm sorry I couldn't find anything more helpful.
If you cannot find anything of help on those pages, I would just call Apple and get a referral from them. They should be able to help you find the closest dealer to your area.

Clients distributor or dealer location as functional location

We are implementing PM/CS module in Ice Cream Mfg. Co. Here my client purchases deep freezer and send to various distributor locations in all over India by doing some commercial agreement. In this up to the one year deep freezer is asset of my client then after one year it is asset of distributor.
Kindly go through following points & how this can be mapped in SAP PM/CS module.
1) After purchasing of deep freezer my client (Ice cream mfg. co.) send this to various distributors. They give deep freezer to distributor for one year which on Free of Cost basis. In that some maintenance is taken place, which is carried out by client (Ice cream mfg. co.) service technician. This maintenance is also carried on free of cost basis. Once one year gets completed they sell out to distributor.
So that becomes a distributoru2019s asset.
2) After one year what ever maintenance is taken place which is reported to client (Ice cream mfg. co.) then client sends technician to distributor location. He carries maintenance & charged for the same. Which may include some material cost or spares cost.
3) In this scenario can I use functional location category as u201CS - Customer system u2013 standardu201D for creating functional location. Also confirm, can I create all Distributor or Dealer location will be as functional location.
4) Whatever deep freezer is installed at distributor location, those deep freezer can I create as Equipment.

How to become a Apple dealer?

Greetings all,
First of all, if this is not the right place to ask this question please move it to a place where it does belong, I wassn't sure where I had to put it.
Now for my actual question: I'm a student that is thinking about what to do as a profession. I live in Belgium and have an interest in becomming an Apple dealer after I graduate. I do have a hard time finding details and specifications on how to become one and the differance between Apple Certified Reseller, Apple Center, ...
Where can I find information about these things?

IPod Touch 5th Generation Australia Release Date? Last week I went to the Carindale Apple store located in Queensland and they had said they wont be getting it for a few months but they'll get it before next year. Anyone know the exact date ?

So the question says it all. Last week, I went to the Carindale Apple Store located in Queensland to purchase a iPad 2 and a iPod Touch 5th Generation. I asked one of the shop assistants when they were getting the iPod Touch 5th Generations and they had said that they didnt know that they would recieve it in a few months but they'll recieve it before next year. Anyone know the OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE of it in Australia ? I want to order it online but my mum doesnt have a credit card, lol .

Should an Apple dealer be able to replace a failing iPad battery?

The apple dealer said they had to send my iPad2 in to Apple to change the battery. But instead they ordered a replacement, refurbished iPad and gave me that, and the "refurbished" one has a worse battery than mine. It's certainly not in factory condition, as it's losing charge on standby. It was given to me charged 80%, yet I know new iPads usually come discharged. I know it's not mine because it has a different serial number. I think that's why it won't let me get to my iCloud backup to restore. Now I wonder if this was a scam to get my newish iPad and trade it for an older one. This was an Apple authorised dealer (they claim) but not an Apple store. If I had taken it to an Apple store instead, would they have changed the battery for me and just charged me for a new battery?

Apple stores do not replace the battery. You have to send the iPad to Apple.
Refurb iPads have a new screen, new battery and a new back.
New/refurb iPads usually come with a battery charge of 50-80%, never completely discharged.

Zipcode Dealer Locater

I am trying to set up a dealer locater on our site. My understanding is this is all math but I am confused. I have db1 with all the zipcode information for the US in it, with the corresponding lat/long. DB2 will have all information of my dealers in it and their location based on lat/long. I do not understand how to take in a user supplied mileage number (5 miles, 10 miles, 25 miles, etc) and zipcode, query db1 to get the appropriate ranges that I need to query in DB2. Please help, I have looked online and I am very confused.

SuperDrive DEAD - Local Apple dealer no help at all!!

Does anyone know where I can send a complaint to Apple about a scam that my local Apple dealer tried to pull? Seems my SuperDrive died and I needed a replacement. So, I called the local Apple dealer to see about buying a new one. So, he gets on the phone. Imagine someone from college who spent all four years doing bong hits. That's the voice he used. This is how the conversation went:
Him: Can I help you?
Me: Yes, I have a dual 1.8Ghz G5. And my superdrive has died. I was wondering if you had one in stock and if so, how much is it?
(Pregnant pause)
Him: So, what's your question?
Me: Well, like I said I need a new superdrive for my G5 and I was wondering if you had one. And how much is it?
Him: Well, your best bet is to bring the machine in and have me replace it.
Me: Ok, any idea how much that will be?
Him: Those are matched to each machine's specific serial number.
Me: HUH? If that is so, then why is it that I can order one online? The Pioneer DVR-111D is for sale all over the 'net.
Him: Only I can replace it. So, you better bring it in.
Me: Okay, so, when can you do it? And do you have any idea of the cost?
Him: That will be $129.00 plus labor costs. I used the last one yesterday. You'll have to wait until Monday.
Me: $129.00? Other World Computing has it for $56.00
Him: That's a different drive. Ours is the DVR-112.
Me: (Exasperated) Okay, well, I'll call you on Monday and maybe bring it in on Wednesday.
Him: Ok, but only I can replace it. I won't sell parts to the general public.
Me: Yeah, I get it.
So, I started phoning around. And as I figured, he was full of it! So, I called him back and asked him why he told me all this crap.
Him: Oh well, you can buy them, but you have to be certified to install them. They are machine specific.
Me: Well, I have called around and asked several different dealers about that. They all deny it's true.
Him: They aren't Apple dealers.
Me: Excuse me? Then how is it that they have entire websites dedicated to nothing but Apple?
Him: They aren't certified. They can sell it to you, but it won't work.
Me: Well, I personally think you are trying to pull a scam.
Him: Well, you can think that. I don't care. But I've got the parts and you don't.
Me: I thought you said you used the last one.
Him: No I didn't.
Me: WHAT? Just forget it.
So, I won't mention the dealers name. But it's the only dealer in the 86301 zip code.
In the meantime, I have ordered the Pioneer DVR-111D from an online dealer.
I think it will work just fine.

I have the same issue. Mine was just starting to update then I got the 3014 error and phone it stuck in recovery mode and can't restore because of the 3014 error.
YES, did all of the steps that apple article suggested like Tiffany F.
-Tried reinstalling iTunes
-Turned off firewall
-host file good
-took sim card out like some suggested
-checked router
I really hope it's just cuz the servers are too loaded.
Anybody else have any other ideas?

Skip Apple ID, Location, Misc with Netinstall

I want to be able to skip the Apple ID, Location and other setups with the Netinstall. Is there a thing in system imaging utilty that will allow this. The create a account is only for Netboot and I want to do Netinstall. Any help would be great.

You can skip setup on the target machine by using the NetRestore option of System Image Utility.

Iphone 3gs no longer will work after iOs5 update,comes up with message ' there is no sim card installed in the phone. Can anyone help me please. I am working as a volunteer in a remote location in Asia and no where near an Apple shop etc?

Thanks for asking, I knew I had forgotten to mention something. The phone was indeed unofficially unlocked, since there were no apple stores or even premium resellers in the region I lived in during the given procedure had to be done.
I understand this could be a further complication, especially the fact the home button does not work. However, I was wondering if there would be a possibility to use a third-party application instead of iTunes to restore the iPhone? IF someone does know of such an application, I could easily solve further problems myself. Basically, the main issue here is my lack of ability to enter DFU mode.

Is there any way that apple can locate/track a lost iPhone? The tracker wasn't set up and switched on.

Can I track a lost iPhone without having set up and turned on the tracker on iclouds?
Would apple be able to locate the lost phone by using the serial number?

Is Apple dealing with this issue? iPod not recognized...

I just got my 30gb video iPod today. First it was frozen and not recognized. Tech support helped me get it unfrozen and then it was recognized. I loaded music, photos, videos and tv shows. I disconnected and tried out the iPod all works great. Went to go add more music and not its not recognized. I have the latest version of iTunes, the updater on laptop and desktop, both give the same message. Going through messages here it seems others are having the same problems. This has to be an issue with the iPod. I checked Disk Management but it doesn't show up.
Does anyone know of a solution?
For the first 90 days you get one call to support, I've already used that. This just really seems to be an issue with the iPod.
Any help/ideas appreciated.

No error message displays, however the iTunes installation disappears from screen and does not finish.

Is it true Apple requires location services be turned on for photo uploading apps? If so, why?!

I can't think of one ethical reason why this should be mandatory information in regards to my photo storage online. I was told by Shutterfly, when I complained, that it was Apple's fault, not theirs. For real?

Any app that accesses existing photos or videos in your Camera Roll / Photos App must ask for access to location data because of the fact that the photos taken with other apps may have location data attached. This is a security measure put in place by Apple to protect your privacy.
If you're not convinced, try using an app that can either use existing photos or take a new one. If you turn off location services for the app in settings, you should get an error message when trying to load an existing image, but you should be able to take a photo in most apps like this without any issues.
