Apple deserves to go out of business - IO6

I have an Iphone 6 which worked ok on IOS5.
I upgraded to IOS6 2 days ago, used the Do not disturb button to test it, i switched it off and then went to sleep and carried on going about my business.
Unfortunately despite DND appearing to be switched off, people are still being cut off and being given a message "sorry Colin is not avialble and you can't leave a message"... the caller is then cut off.
Its been happening three days.  No incoming calls.
So I called my service provider Three Uk and they said "oh you need to speak to Apple"  they put me through to Apple and I was on the phone for 40 minutes to a person who couldnt help me, they then put me through to a senior technician and was on for another 30 minutes.  is
He finished the conversation by telling me "oh this isnt a phone issue" this is a Network issue you need to speak to your cell phone provider (Three uk)
So I called my cell phone provider and was on another hour and a half.  They tested the network = fine  They reset the call divers = fine and they have one more test to do... I have to go into a store tomorrow and they are going to replace the sim in my iphone.  And if that's fine then my cell phone provider has done it's job and it  is down to Apple to sort it out.
I have to say, I thought that Apple had a no quibble returns policy, which is why I bought an Iphone and it;s simply not the case.
I also thought you would get 5 start service from Apple - again this is not the case
And Before I go into the three store, I can virtually guarantee its not going to be the sim because its worked fine for the past six months, my phone only screwed up since IO6 was installed.
Since I bought this Iphone 4s - the Battery life is garbage I have to constantly re-charge it,   Siri doesn't understand my regional accent, the phone keeps losing the networking saying "no network" and I have to switch it off and on again, and when it's regularly saying "cannot connect to apple store" and I have to put the date forward on the calendar by one year.
I wish I would have bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 because the software would beat Apple hands down.

I am absolutely disgusted that I had to spend over three hours on the phone today, it's the worst service I have ever had from any company and I dont mind telling anyone who may be considering buying an iphone - DONT BOTHER

I feel your pain! My husband spent over 4 hours at Apple's mercy the other day, plus the 3-4 months he went without being able to access his Apple account. We, the average consumer, are just pawns in their world . I've had my issues with Siri too. I have a southern drawl that apparently is hard for Siri to understand. Its taken almost a whole year but I feel like I do less arguing with my phone now. I too have considered switching phones...I use to love my iphone, now its more of a love/hate relationship.     Is this a new installation of GarageBand or has it worked before on the same computer?
    Or have you transferrred your GarageBand from a different computer?
    The error message is saying, that your GarageBand installation is incomplete. There are essential foldrs missing in your system library. 
    Check, if indeed both folders are missing or if only the permissions are set incorrectly.
    Your system library (the folder "System" directly on your system drive) should have the following folders inside the folder "Audio", and they need to be readable by the system and by administrators.
    And in the folder /Library/Application Support there should be the Instrument Library.
    If these folders do not exist (or no longer exist), restore them from your backup-  If your GarageBand version is a new installation, the application may not hve been downloaded or installed completely, then reinstall GarageBand.
    What is your GarageBAnd version, and how did you install it originally?

  • Apple DVI to VGA out adaptor

    Hi All,
    I got an Apple DVI to VGA out adaptor and I have a Radeon 9000 video card with ADC and DVI output, the thing is that when I plug that in, it sees it as a VGA output, but when I connected the other end to an input on my tv, it displays nothing and when I click DETECT DISPLAY, it closes the tv connection and I am back to one display..
    Now I also have a Radeoan 7000 PCI card with VGA, DVI and S-Video out and when I connect that same adaptor, it now says Televison and works as it should... Now my question is the DVI output is different on each card or is it PCI and AGP slot acts differently or do I just have a bad DVI output???

    The DVI connection should work, but some displays with multiple input have trouble after the display or computer sleep. I think the display sees no signal on the computer port so goes to checks the other port. When the computer wakes, the display may be switched to the wrong port. The computer, may, then, think there is nothing connected, and turn off the video. The display comes back to the correct port, but sees no signal, and switches ports before the computer has a chance to start the video. A properly designed display would send connected signals on the DVI port while it's looking at the VGA port, but some models never recover properly from sleep with certain computers.

    You may see some network storage devices which purport to have an iTunes server. While these can show up in iTunes as shared libraries, AppleTV can't use them as configuring AppleTVs relies on iTunes actually running and entering numeric codes to 'attach' the devices.
    While the computer seems to be a logical 'free' media hub, many people don't want a computer on 24/7 or use laptops, so some kind of standalone device would be useful.

    I set up the first user to iCloud and it was OK but when I set up the second user to use iCoud the first users's info gets mixed with the second user's info?
    Do we have to set up a diffrent Apple ID for each other?
    Sometime ago I added my friends E mail (yyyyy) to the main Apple ID (xxxx) as for using his E mail account (to separate our e mail accounts, and it's working ok) but now when I try to create a new apple ID whith the same friend's e mail (yyyyyy)  it says that his mail (yyyyy) is already an apple ID when the Apple ID is really my E mail (xxxxx)... any clue?

    I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

    That is awesome, works perfectly.
    I'll get it worked into my main script. Is this Action Manager code, and not just regular Javascript from the Scripting Dictionary? I can't tell the difference. I'll see whether or not it's actually faster than Applescript.

Because rest of the devices are synced to MacBook and they are able to sync the content normally.  I have even subscribed to iTunes Match but the problem is still not fixed.

    Firstly...  a little Clarity...
    Devices refer to iDevices... iPod... iPhone... iPad. ..   Not Computers.
    Authoriation applies ONLY to Computers... of which there is a Limit of 5 per Apple ID.
    If the issue is with iTunes on your Windows Computer... Perhaps you need to Re-install iTunes...

    Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.

    Going to try a signal booster this all started with the TV upgrade. The only reason for the network booster is because iPhone 4 freezes in facebook once and a while. I am trying to solve this problem for my brother my system works with my airport and imac with no issues yet. All brand new.
