Apple Discussion - How to end emails

I have raised a forum question which I have now resolved.
How do I stop the emails related to this question coming down to me.
The instructions of how to do it make no sense to me whatsoever.
Could somebody please give me a simple step by step method.

On those pages above the list of Topics look for "Cancel Subscription to Category or Forum.

Apple Mail how to ensure emails removed from computer

HI,
i recently set up Mail to access my work email using Exchange..however upon thinking about this I think would like to revert back to using web mail to access my work email due to confidentialits reasons.. If I delete that email account in the the account setting will any emails that were downloaded by Mail be deleted from my computer..I am assuming if I jut inactivate the account the emails remain on my computer..it is an Exchange so assume it to IMAP..

Yes, I believe that once the account is deleted all emails downloaded will go away. I added Gmail and then deleted. All emails went away along with the inbox. I access my company's Microsoft Exchange Server via the web. I bookmarked it and it shows up as Outlook Web App. I can access it via Safari on my MacBook Pro, my iPad and my iPhone with no problem. The email I see on my ios devices is slightly abridged, but accessing it on my MacBook Pro is fine.

To Apple Discussions Admin: Suggesting a minor correction...

Hello!
The "My Subscriptions" page of the Apple Discussions Website states,"Your Email Address
All subscription updates will be emailed to your email address: ________. If this is incorrect, please update your email address on the settings page. to change one's email address, we go to the my settings page." (There's direct link to My Settings page.)
However, My Settings page is not where an email address can be changed. One person after another gets stuck here, because the link is official site information. Frustrated, the same question regarding where one can change an email address or if that's even possible is posted over and over again.
While I may be missing something here, I would like to suggest a very simple solution: change the information on the My Subscriptions page and create a correct link to https://myinfo.apple.com ...not to the My Settings page.

How do I prevent every apple discussion post to go to my email box? I have changed the preferences, but they are still filling up my email box?

The preferences control future subscriptions. Click the email and follow back to the discussion and then click "stop email notifications" under Actions on the top right of this page. You'll need to do that for each discussion you're subscribed to.

Had to change my Apple ID because the original email address is no longer valid. How do I change the iCloud user name on iMac? I found instructions about signing out of iCloud and signing back end. It asks questions about contact, etc.

Had to change Apple ID due to email address no longer valid. Trying to change id for icloud...saw direction online about signing out of icloud and signing back in...when it ask questions about contacts, photos, etc. being deleted how do I answer those? That just sort of freaks me out.

For the ones that give you an option, select the option you want (keep on the Mac or Delete). For the ones that are simply warning you, click on Delete from Mac.
They will all come back when you sign back on, since all you did was change your existing Apple ID to a new email address. It's the same iCloud account, just with a different name.
It's the only way to get your updated ID signed onto iCloud.

Thanks for the reply. However, that will not work. It gives you the option to merge your ID into your primary email address, but the function is not working. I have seen some other discussions where people are having the same frustrations. Also, if you have used your primary email for anything else, it wont let you edit your ID to that. It will say it is already in use.

Apple Discussion ID and email

I am wondering if I am missing on how to update my email address for my Apple Discussions ID. In the Edit My Profile it does not seem to be changeable. The new discussions seems to have changed this. any idea?

Your welcome. Sometimes it isn't the easiest web site to figure out. I often wonder how people find the things they do. Sometimes I just "google" what I'm looking for after not finding it through the search box on the Apple Website and it gets me to exactly the page I'm looking for.

Apple Discussion emails...

Hello... i've done a search on the forum but can't find anything... please could somebody tell me how to cancel the 'Apple Discussions Subscriptions' emails that are now clogging up my inbox. I've set up a filter to delete them now, but to be honest, i'd rather just cancel them altogether.

I changed my Apple ID to my new email and now cannot find any way to access icloud. Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required.

It doesn't sound like you "changed" your Apple ID, sounds like you created a new one. Bad idea. All content bought with an Apple ID is forever tied to that ID. The ID that bought the content is the only ID that can update the content. Apple does not merge IDs not does Apple transfer content from one ID to another.

If you are signed into your current iCloud ID you shouldn't be prompted for the old ID unless there is another service still signed into it. Check the ID in iMessage (Settings>Messages>Send & Receive), FaceTime (Settings>FaceTime), Game Center (Settings>Game Center), the iTunes store (Settings>iTunes & App Store), etc. to make sure you aren't still signed in with the old ID. If you are, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.

I just got an iphone recently and I started my apple id using my gmail email address. I decided to change email from gmail to icloud so I setup an icloud email account and now I have two apple id accounts. All my primary information is in the gmail apple id account and i just want to merge the two together. I've tried changing the apple id on the main account to the icloud email, but it says it already exists. How can I merge these two accounts without deleting one or the other?

You can't merge iCloud accounts.
You could move all your calendars contacts etc over from the account you don't want to the one you do, it's not simple but about all I can suggest.

How do we have seperate Apple ID's under one email address?

How do "marry" seperate accounts under one email address? For instance, my wife has her Apple ID under our email but the system will not let me establish my own apple account using the same email. What to do?
