Apple Discussion ID and email

Hello Everyone,
I am wondering if I am missing on how to update my email address for my Apple Discussions ID. In the Edit My Profile it does not seem to be changeable. The new discussions seems to have changed this. any idea?

Your welcome. Sometimes it isn't the easiest web site to figure out. I often wonder how people find the things they do. Sometimes I just "google" what I'm looking for after not finding it through the search box on the Apple Website and it gets me to exactly the page I'm looking for.

Really fed up with multiple apple ID's and email addresses

I've been an apple product user for the best part of 5 years and I have two apple ID's, multiple iCloud alias's and a number of associated email addresses. Two questions:
Can all of my ID's be merged in to one account?
If not:
Can I create a new apple ID and transfer all my existing purchases from both of the other Apple ID's?
The way I see it is I paid for the content licence so I should be able to manage it as I see fit. Having multiple ID's seriously screws with my setting in iOS.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't merge accounts or transfer purchases from one account to the other. If you only have one account in use for iTunes, you could with a little effort transfer all your iCloud data from one account to another, so everything became part of the ID you currently use for iTunes.

Cannot Log in on my apple ID account and email account using my mini ipad, need help please!!!

I have my situation using my mini ipad, lately I have noticed that I couldnt log in tru my email account and apple ID account. But if go surf through safari and log in within these two accounts it accepts and have no problem with it.
Everytime I try to log in from the settings it always says please check network connection and try again, but my broadband was perfectly working when I surf or use my different gadgets.
Please I need some advice what to do with my problem.

I am trying to change the Apple ID on my old iPhone 5c but it wants a password for an old Apple ID with and email that doesn't exist anymore

MMy old iPhone 5c is wanting a password for logging into my apple account. The problem is that the email address its tied to doesn't exist anymore. I changed the email to a different one. But can't figure out how to change the email address on the phone to the new email address.

The fact that the email address doesn't exist anymore doesn't matter. As far as the Apple ID is concerned, the email address is just a user name. As long as you know the password you used, it should be fine.

I can't remember the password I used to set up icloud nor the email I used to set it up with. I have my apple ID and email for that account.

I recently had to do a factory restore on my iphone 4s. Upon trying to set up my phone again I am being asked to sign into my icloud account. I can't remember the password or the email I used to set it up. I know my Apple ID, password and email for that account, but that doesn't allow me to get back into my phone. I can't reset the icloud password because I can't remember the email I used. Any ideas on what I can do please ?

Still problems with Apple id and emails after move to iCloud

Hi,
After move from MobileMe to iCloud, there are still problems with apple id's and emails.
I'm trying to delete a mail (email1) from one apple id, but nothing happens?
And when i'm trying to add a email (email2), that i Know isn't linked to another apple id, i get the message that it is already in use with another apple id?
It's a problem when you use these emails with facetime, imessage etc ...

My iPhone 5 and 4 both are having no trouble connecting to the Apple store, but my iPad (4th Gen) cannot either connect to Apple store, nor stream music using iTunes Radio. Keeps asking for my Apple ID and password. When I put it in, it says that I cannot connect. If I put it in wrong, it tells me its wrong. Tried changing my password on my desktop PC. The iPhones handled change and continued to connect, but iPad is unable to connect still.
Any solutions would be appreciated.

What Has Happened to Apple Discussions?

Apple Discussions web site. It seems that every single day periods of a few minutes to a few hours go by with Discussions "tempoarily unavailable." When it is available, it is often abysmally slow. Offhand, I cannot think of another web site with performance like this, although Dell discussions had similar problems a few years ago and was a contender for the title.
An occasional word of explanation would be welcomed by those who time after time are unable to connect to Apple Discussions.

I bet they are working on Apple Discussions to make your and others experiences better. If you noticed when those "temporarily unavailable" messages appear that it is during the "off hours" of the average persons day. Usually it is during the day when most people are at work (mid day) and late night/early morning around 2ish. I have noticed the occasional slow down, but I have also noticed the same effect with other forums. If you remember what Apple Discussions was like after the switch; it is 101% better. You may want to try deleting the Apple Discussions cookies and then going back.

I was on the apple discussion boards looking for an ical/entourage question. There are questions about BB's on there. I replied to one and sent the link for Mac's and BB's (this section). Mainly about syncing address book and iCal problems.

I solved my own problem
I went to mactopia and found a way to import iCal to Entourage.
If you go to Apple Discussion Boards, and search for like Blackberry, Pocket Mac and Missing Sync you might find some interesting questions.

How can I change my email address in Apple Discussions?

I need help with another question about confusing, obtuse Apple programing, specifically the Apple Website Discusion Forum itself.
For one thing – I didn't see a forum set up to ask questions about the Apple Support Discusion Forum. I'd say it's an important topic considering Apple still provides no guidebook with it's software.

Apple Mail Search and Spotlight do not work for locating email messages after upgrading to Lion 10.8.3 on my 27" iMac.
When searching in Apple Mail, sometimes a get a few results (with many missing), and sometimes no results at all.
I had absolutely no problems before with Snow Loepard.
I have reindexed mail and my startup drive. I have followed discussions regarding this matter and tried everything - a waste of time.
This is VERY serious for me - I have many thousands of messages that I archive and need to reference for work and clients, and now I cannot find them.

I found out that I needed a $100 mini displayport to dual-link dvi adapter to make my $30" cinema display work with my macbook pro

When I found out that solved the problem, I took it back because that was too expensive for a stupid adapter, and it still didn't work perfectly.

ITunes account and Apple ID in Apple Discussion

Hi, I recently want to create an iTunes Account, however during the process in validating my email, it says that my email account has already an Apple ID. Does this mean that the Apple ID I use here in the discussion Forum is the same of that of iTunes Account? I would like to believe so because when I tried to change the password in iTunes, then logging in Apple Discussion, the same password was accepted when I had it changed. In iTunes, I cannot go further. When I log in iTunes account using my username and password here in Apple Discussion, iTunes does not accept it.

How do I prevent every apple discussion post to go to my email box? I have changed the preferences, but they are still filling up my email box?

The preferences control future subscriptions. Click the email and follow back to the discussion and then click "stop email notifications" under Actions on the top right of this page. You'll need to do that for each discussion you're subscribed to.

Hello... i've done a search on the forum but can't find anything... please could somebody tell me how to cancel the 'Apple Discussions Subscriptions' emails that are now clogging up my inbox. I've set up a filter to delete them now, but to be honest, i'd rather just cancel them altogether.
