APPLE - DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE iTUNES SITE
Like many people that have posted notes on this, I have been trying to connect to iTunes all weekend without much success. And when I do, it is extremely slow. I have tried changing the settings in IE Internet Options like someone has suggested but it has not made any difference.
Something is wrong. Please fix it.
I agree to a degree with you all, but apple isn't totally to blame. after all noone has complete control of the internet and its traffic. It could be your ISP blocking you or the main line/servers they connect there costomers too. it could be a whole list of things when it comes to connecting over the net.
Personally I've never had a problem connecting to the net over my bellsouth account or my KYWimax account (Wireless connection for the metro area Im in) I live on the east coast of the US tho. may be the local you live in causing it

ITunes 5.x crashing upon search - has Apple changed the iTunes site?

What has Apple done?
Clearly they've done something to the iTunes site.
I had iTunes for Windoze installed on 3 PCs. They're all 5.x.y.z ... (probably 5.0.1.4 - that's on one of them).
Went to search for a tune today at work (Win XP Pro machine).
Trying either to get to the Power Search screen or just trying to use the search widget in the upper right (by typing something and hitting 'Enter') caused the iTunes app to crash.
Reliably. Repeatedly. Every time.
Same behavior on my home machine (Win XP).

I´m having the same problem and I've installed the latest version of iTunes: 6.0.4.2.
that's more disturbing. we can't use the update workaround for you that has been working for some of the folks with 5.0.x.
let's try enlisting some additional technical help with this one.
we'll get a crash log from itunes, and send it to so someone who can interpret crash logs.
Typically, you'll need to configure Dr. Watson on your PC in order to generate crash logs. Windows start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return. At the prompt in the command line window that comes up, type in
drwtsn32 -i
And hit return.
This will create crash logs in Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\. There'll usually be a file in here called "drwtsn32.log"
prior to collecting the itunes crash log, delete any existing crash logs in there. (we want to make sure we send the correct crash log.)
generate the crash, collect the crash log, and send it to this email address
in the email:
(1) state the precise version number of itunes that you're using, and the precise version number of your QuickTime. (in QuickTime, go "help > about QuickTime Player" to get the info.)
(2) include the URL to this thread so that the person who gets the email has some context, but also give as much information about the context of the crashing as you can.

I have sownloaded an HD movie from iTunes store and when I attempted to play it on my Windows 7 PC a error message popped up saying something about the display not being compatible for HD movies. I have tried changing the display resolution several times but it didn't help. Now it just comes up with a blank screen when I attempt to play it. SD movies work fine. I have the latest version of iTunes installed.
Can anyone help me resolve this problem?Apparently the display is required to be HDCP compatible to view HD movies in iTunes. My display isn't so this is my problem. I contacted Apple support and they have agreed to credit me for the HD movie and I have now downloaded the SD version.

So disappointed with IOS 6. I'm having weak wifi connection since upgrading to it. Can Apple do something about it? Can you at least reset it to IOS 5.1.1?
Sorry Jim for the wrong question because I'm getting frustated with my IPAD since I can't use it for surfing internet with a faster speed. Ipad was very convenient to use until this IOS 6 upgrade. Tried all the suggestions in the forums but still gets back to weak wifi connection.

is apple going to come out with a iso that lets ppl who have the iphone 3g to put up backgrounds its bs that i cant do it when ever i see something about the iphones even befor the 4g that all ways had backgrounds so what the **** is with that
iPhone 3G has received its last iOS update. If wallpapers behind the homescreen icons is such an important feature for you, you'll need a newer model iPhone.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I used to be able to copy or drag and drop links from the address window. Now with the update, only the address is copied or dragged not the link. (Says something about not giving site information). I want to be able to drag and drop or copy links.To be more precise, you can setup a JComponent or JPanel on top of your JavaFX nodes that has a TransferHandler that can convert the (AWT/Swing) images dragged to the app to JavaFX image and then insert it into the underlying node.
As for the file chooser itselft: ListView and the JavaFX composer can allow you to create one quite easily. TreeView can aslso be used to a lesser extend (still a big buggy). For both of these, there are small bugs in the Cell API that may (or may not) prevent from displaying a proper thumbnail in the cells.
You can also use a regular JFileChooser if you do not mind the dialog box having a different LnF from the rest of your application. -
I'm just tired of waiting on this inept device and it's underserved iTunes counterpart being unable to deliver enough bandwidth to load a show within a reasonable amount of time. I'm a big Apple fan and an equally big critic. This whole rig is a big FAIL so far, Apple. There is nothing ON DEMAND about the iTunes Store at this point. Netflix and YouTube work better on Apple TV than their own iTunes Store! And, this has been going on for a few years now, unremedied, and is only getting worse with more people buying these devices! I do not reccommend this device to people like I used to.
The good news is, that iTunes will give refunds about 85% of the time if I explain my problem the way I have here. SO, ATTENTION: EVERYONE WITH AN APPLE TV: If you have this same issue with iTunes Store not properly serving your paid content, do not hesitate to ask for your money back. It's the least they can do for the amount of life wasted waiting for a show to load. Not to mention, all the disappointments with the kids at bedtime and when my wife and I want to just relax and turn something on.
Bottom Line: ITUNES IS UNDER-SERVED!!!

There is a massive conspiracy by cable and DSL ISPs against Apple taking away TV viewers. Is it possible the ISPs are somehow limiting or buffering the data packets coming through the port(s) employed by iTunes Store? Like I say, with me and many others on this forum, the problem lies solely with iTunes Store. Youtube, Netflix, Podcasts and everything else generally serve up just fine. The iTunes Store, however, is a consistent failure. Something that seems unusual for Apple not to address, being so customer-centric and all.

Kindly pardon my ignorance how one can send feed back to Apple? I am new to Apple devices. iPad2 is my first and only Apple device.
I looked at http://www.apple.com/ipad/built-in-apps/camera.html and felt the quality of camera is good enough for me (see one frame of the bicycle and the running girl) and was wondering what all internet sites are talking about bad mouthing about iPad2 camera??? At the end I felt above page is misleading. Apple says "an" HD camera and does not say which one front or back? Picture Frames which are shown in iPad2 on above link does not match quality of photos or video my iPad2 takes. Are those videos n photos really taken by ipad2 cameras? which one? front or back? if not taken by iPad2 cameras than what is the use of showing them on ipad2 camera Ad page? instead could show on ipad2 video playing capability Ad page.
Anyway, my question is are you folks getting such great quality (as in above link) from your ipad2 cameras? if so did you change some setting somewhere in iPad2? how can I improve quality of video and still images taken by my ipad2? -
I cannot install my ipod to my computer. Says something about the device driver. I did not get it new either and so have no info about it. And I have never used one before and have no friends who have either. Can someone help me?

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I'm trying to sync a 4s so that it can be activated w ATT...my computer says that I need to have 11.1 or higher in order to do that but when I download from the itunes site nothing happens and I still can't sync phone...what am I doing wrong?
The screen that says "Download Now" also shows the proposed iTunes version number (in the box below):
