Apple doesn't recognize my AppleCare agreement
Hey folks,
Got a bit of a problem I could use some help with.
Last month, I purchased an iPhone 3G, and decided to purchase an AppleCare service agreement with it. Earlier tonight, I figured it would be a good idea to log into http://www.apple.com/support/applecare/overview/ and register my AppleCare agreement with Apple. But upon doing so, I got this error message:
*"We're sorry, but this AppleCare agreement has already been registered."*
(I did check my list of current AppleCare agreements, and did not see it listed, either.)
Now what? I went to the "contact us" page, and it is unclear who I should contact about problems with AppleCare.
I'm a little worried, since at this point I have a potentially dud AppleCare agreement, and would like to get the issue sorted out as quickly as possible.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On a related note, there are no links (that I could fine) to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do from http://www.apple.com/support/applecare/overview/. That made it a bit of a challenge to find that page and led me to ask on here.
If folks who maintain Apple's website are reading this, they want to take a look at that UI issue.

My girlfriend had this same issue. It ended up being her cable.
It was very weird and confussing as the first cable would allow the phone to show up on my laptop but not my girlfriends. So we thought the cable was fine.
Further the first cable would allow the iPhone to sync with itunes on her laptop but not show up in her "My Computer."
By chance we tried a different cable and it worked fine on her laptop and instantly showed up in her "My Computer."
All very weird but try a couple different cables and see if that fixes the problem first before resorting to other time consuming steps. -
Apple doesn't recognize password
Apple said it would send a link to reset pw and it has not twice. It won't recognize what i have used or the answers to my security question.
I have a PC and a 4s iPhone and Retina iPad

My iphone App Store indicates that I need to update my Backup Assistant. I have tried about 30 times to log into my Apple account using every login I can think of and it continually tells me it is invalid or incorrect. I have changed my password/ID at least 20 times. What can I do?
Use the correct login/password that the app was purchased with.

Iphoto doesn't recognize my Kodak Z730 any more after three years of up loading into it.
Iphoto doesn't recognize my Kodak Z730 Easyshare cameranow. Been using it for over three years and as of two months ago the Apple doesn't recognize the files. Camera works fine on my step mothers Apple just not on mine. Anyone been through this already? I tried printing to a disk and loading that way. No luck. I think getting one of the auto updates from Apple may have screwed it up. Only thing I can think of. Has to be a way to fix it. ( I hope ! )
ErichUpdate: I've tried deleting my Iphoto plist but it still doesn't help - any other suggestions?

Hi, my iPod touch was recently dropped but afterwards I called Apple Support and they told me I have a 17 day warranty for my Apple iPod Touch, so then I asked them if I could send it in to get fixed but what had happened to my iPod was that when I click the home button and try to ''Slide to Unlock" it doesn't recognize that I'm trying to do anything else the only thing that I can do is press the "Sleep" and "Home" Buttons and nothing else. Anything you can do to help me please??
Even if you were still under AppleCare warranty, it would not cover damage from a fall.
That "17 day" warranty makes no sense, though. iPods have a 1-year free AppleCare warranty for service, and 90 days for free phone support:

Apple can repair just about anything that might be wrong with your iPod, but it will cost you. Call, explain the problem, ask for a repair appointment at your nearest Apple Store (or get a case number and ask for instructions to mail it in for a repair), but get a firm quote on the repair cost before authorizing the repair (or mailing it in for repair).

Solved the problem. I had to allow cookies for safari and it run - as here: Re: itunes keeps asking for my apple id password. it's NOT entered incorrectly.

How do I pair a bluetooth headset when my MAC doesn't recognize it? The hedset work properly because they are paired with my iPhone. The headset is not an Apple product. It'd 3rd party.

My iTunes suddenly stopped working and doesn't recognize any of my devices and gives me a AMD error. I've tried several times to uninstall all Apple programs and reinstall to no avail. I'm running windows 7 on a Dell laptop. It worked fine for years then I decided to update my iPhone 4S and it didn't recognize it or any other iPod or iPad.
Can someone please help ?I am having all sorts of problems with 9.1.1.Crashes and not only iTunes but I have to restart all the time.

I am trying to update my iTunes so I can sync my new iphone 5s and it doesn't recognize the phone, apple support said I need to update my iTunes when I try and do that I get an error message that says " the ITunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection or try back later.
My internet works fine and I have tried back dozens of times with same result.Did you ever figure out the problem? "Contact Software Manufacturer"?? That sounds ominous... I've got the same issue and I'm pretty durn aggravated right about now....

It doesn't recognize me
I just experienced this exact same issue with my early 2011 15" macbook pro. Since like a month after purchasing it I had issues with the screen randomly going dark on me. I sent it in for repair inder waranty they replaced the gpu and logic board but I continued to have the same issues with the screen randomly going black sometimes I would need to reboot it in order to get the screen to go back on but it happened so infrequently and I used the computer for school so disnt find the time to resend it in to apple. Just last night the screen started to display the blue screen with black verticle lines on it. I called apple and explained to them the issues that had been ongoing since I purchased the laptop but they said because I was now outside of warantee that any repairs at thia point wouldn't be covered. Fml so glad I spent 2200 on this future proof macbook pro what a joke my sister purchased a toshiba laptop for 300 4 years ago and it still running like a champ. I loved my macbook but at the price I paid I expect it to last longer than 2 years before leaving me high and dry. *** apple??

I just installed Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and it doesn't recognize the hp laserjet 2100M that has been connected for years using 10.5. Nothing shows up when I go to add printers.

Appletalk network support protocol was dropped with Snow Leopard 10.6.

siu-85's post in that thread gives comprehensive instructions on how to add the printer, if your printer includes an Ethernet card (EIO adapter).
If not, your alternatives are apparently to connect via a USB cable, to purchase an EIO adapter, or to find a new printer. -
ICloud doesn't recognize my Apple id password
I just changed my Apple id password because someone else was listed under my email. After doing that, my icloud accound doesn't recognize my apple id password. FYI, when I went in to my account to change the password, I saw all the persons info, address, telephone etc. who was using my email account. How did that happen? All of my info was not there. So I took his out and replaced with my info. But then I couldn't get itunes or icloud to recognize my new password.
I had a very similar experience. I made a purchase last month. Everything was fine. Then I try to login two days ago and I can't. Nothing works. Can't reset my password, and when I try I never get an email with the new one.
I email apple support and they tell me that my email address (and apple ID) has been changed to some weird address. I reply and tell them that I never did this and never got an email saying it had been changed. They had me try to log in with the new email address (which I couldn't). Eventually they reset my password (still with the new weird email address) and I could log in. I then quickly changed the password and apple ID back to my email address. However, the billing info was weird. My street and city were correct, yet the State/ZIP and phone were all from New Mexico. It doesn't look like any purchases were made.
I am starting to think that there were no accounts hijacked here, otherwise we would have received an email when the ID was changed (as I did when I changed mine back). I think that something got corrupted in Apple's database.
