Apple iCloud Password Reset

Hi,
I am having trouble trying to reset my icloud password on my icloud account (***********) This is the only way that I can contact an apple expert. I am hoping someone from the apple support can help me with this.
1. When I tried to reset through sending an email, it said that it has already sent me an email. BUT WHERE? it did not tell me what email it used to send the reset email. I forgot what email address i linked it to.
2. I tried authenticating using the security question but when it asked for my birthday I placaed there **********. (which is my real date of birth) and it was saying that it is the wrong password.
I am hoping someone from apple can tell me what email address it used to reset my password. You guys can email me at **********

**** i have the same problem we are trying to unlock a iphone 4 and need to get on to apple from the iphone and it keeps saying apple id or password not correct grrrrrr. if you figure it out please let me know thanks in advance !!!!!

Received an apple id password reset email the night ipod classic was stolen. Coincidence?

My iPod classic was stolen from my vehicle. The same evening I received an apple id password reset email. Is it possible that the thief initiated the email with just the iPod and maybe my name (as it is on the vehicle registration in my car). There is no way this person could know my email address to initiate a request.

That's the only answer, if your email address was on the iPod the thief has it, everything on the iPod is open to him/her. But it would have to include your AppleID.
It was a coincidence.

I recovered my stolen iPhone 4s thru' IMEI tracking and Police's help. The thief had set up the phone with his apple account. He is now out of police's contact and i could not retrieve his Apple/icloud PASSWORD which i need to ACTIVATE my iPhone. Any way?

Did you ask to have your Apple ID password reset? If not, it's a scam. Do not click on any of the links in the message, and delete the e-mail. It's also possible that an attacker is trying to gain access to your Apple ID. It would be wise to enable two-factor verification on your Apple ID:

Not receiving the iCloud password reset email

I am trying to assist a friend in retrieiving the information stored on his iCloud account via an iPhone that has since been broken
I've attempted to use the link several times to send an email to the Hotmail email address that is set-up as the iCloud user name but while I get the email sent confirmation, as yet no email has been received at this email address and I'm running out of suggestions as to how to help.
I also attempted to follow the security questions route to resetting the password but sadly failed at the first hurdle and I can only assume that his date of birth was originally entered incorrectly, as when I enter his actual birth date, I get an error message
I also thought that I might be able to access a password reset by using the same iCloud user name as his Apple ID, since with my own account, my Apple ID is the same as my iCloud user name but his iCloud user name is not recognised as an existing Apple ID
Any help or assistance would be most gratefully received as he's desperate to recover some photos etc that were uploaded to the iCloud from the broken iPhone and with him being somewhat technically illiterate, I appear to be the only person who can assist and without the password reset email being received at the Hotmail address which is the iCloud user name, I am totally flummoxed as to being able to offer any further assistance.

Thanks a million randers4 for taking the trouble to get back to me.
I will get my pal to come over when we've both time to sit down and foillow your advice (and the link). However, sadly I suspect that we might have a problem proving his identity to the satisfaction of the support team, as whenever I've tried to assist this mate in the past, the same issues have always arisen, where he's not got a clue as to usernames, passwords, security questions.
I presume he must have some sort of underlying paranoia about revealing any genuine information about himself online. This proves incredibly frustrating and I invariably end up tearing what's left of my hair out, in my efforts to resolve his myriad of technical queries and yet while I invariaby end up losing patience, tired of trying to drum it into him to write login details down, to keep them safe, or to only use answers that he knows he will remember, in light of everything that's come to light recently, in truth perhaps it's me who is the stupid one for freely giving up all my personal information online and it will eventually prove that he is most sensible for refusing to relinquish any genuine personal details about himself.
Then again, at least I am able to retrieve my iCloud photos!
Apologies for waffling on. Hopefully I can come back to say issue has been resolved, but I've an inkling I might have to return to enquire if there are any further options

When I submit a password reset request on iCloud.com the site does not deliver the password reset instructions to the email address. Apple, any ideas?

We're only users here, Apple does not participate.
Check your junk mail folder. Or perhaps the email that you originally defined for sending icloud resets to is no longer active.

HT201303 Random Apple id password resets - how to stop this?

A couple of months ago I started getting emails from Apple titled "How to reset your Apple Id password" and then more worryingly "Your Apple Id password has been reset". This happened several times over the next few days and I know this was not done by accident from me or my family because it was happening during the night UK time. I reported to Apple support and they were no help, in fact they deactivated my account until I told them to reactivate it again!
To me it seems like someone (or some system) is triggering the password reset online when trying to access my account.
After reporting it to Apple it stopped for a couple of months - now it started again! Several random resets during the night and day when I know no-one could be doing this from one of my devices.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any good ideas how to stop it? Any way to disable email authentication on the password reset and restrict to only the personal data questions?

HT5624 apple id password reset but not accepting when sign in

when came out from flight, switch on my Iphone5, it start asking to "Sign In to FaceTime" with my apple ID password.
I did reset the password through mail and start sign in. It is not working. What could be the reason?

When I go to appleid.apple.com, select password reset and enter my Apple ID, why am I prompted to enter my DOB prior to selecting an authentication method?

NO. all apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase the app.

I forgot my password and when I attempt to reset it, Apple asks for my birthdate. That must be wrong. I've asked
Appled to send me the reset email several times and I don't get the reset email from Apple. It's not even in the byte bucket.

what characters are acceptable in the apple id PASSWORD? other than alpha and numbers i used a tilde icloud accepted my password then later i tried to open itunes and it did not like my pass word stating it did not accept the tilde, for now i changed my password is there a glitch in the o/s?

And to answer the question in your title, stick to letters (no diacriticals) and numbers - no punctuation, spaces, or odd characters. Your password must be at least 8 characters - 12 would be better - and must include at least one numeral, one lower case character and one upper-case character.

ICloud password resetting

Every couple of days my iCloud password says its incorrect and needs resetting. I reset the password to a new one but then a few days later or even a few hours later it's asks for my password again and I have to reset it again, anyone had the same issue?!

You may want to save your photo stream photos to your camera roll, then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide your password and choose Delete from My iPad when prompted, then sign back in. This deletes the account and iCloud data from your iPad, but not from iCloud. Your data will download back to your iPad when you sign back in.
