Apple ID account disabled. iForgot no use.
One of my old mobileme Apple ID's has been disabled as I used the wrong password too many times. Only support i get is to use iForgot, but when I click on send email I do not receive one and the security question asks me for a date of birth and I have provided every possible combination and it doesn't work. When I go online to ask to speak to an apple representative it states 'the only way to resolve my problem is to use iforgot' and prevents me from booking a call with an apple support human being.

How do I change my phone number on my Apple ID account? Not the number for billing. I got a new Ipod touch and when I was setting it up my emails where correct but the phone number was wrong. If you can remember them their current answers you can login here and change them : https://appleid.apple.com , click on 'Manage your Apple ID' and then 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of your account's page
If you can't remember their answers and you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

I have 2 ipod touches on the same apple ID/account. My daughter uses one, and I use the other. Can I set facetime up on each with different access email addresses (so that we don't get each others calls?)?

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -
Two Apple ID Accounts, One Computer
I am in charge of our districts 28 iPads. I set up one Apple ID account for the iPads and want to sync all the same apps to all 28 iPads. I also have an Apple ID account for my personal use. When I go to iTunes and log off my personal Apple ID account and log on with my school Apple ID account, all the apps from my personal account show up. I don't want to have my personal apps sync with my school devices and I don't know why they are showing up after I sign out of one account and sign in to the other account.
It should work - it always has for me. You can always sync just the apps that you want to sync - You should turn off auto sync as well.
Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK and quit iTunes.
Now you can connect any iPad without fear that it will sync content that you don't want on the device. After you select all of the apps that you want on each iPad - click on Apply in the lower right corner.
Once you set up the first iPad for the school - you will already have the app configuration worked out so you should just be able sync the iPads to that same configuration. -

apple id was originally disabled. I reset my password and can sign into my apple id account. But when i want to buy an app in the app store it says my apple id is disabled again.
It's real easy to create a new one and, in fact, it's too easy. I say that because multiple IDs are a PIA. The problem is that anything obtained from the iTunes Store is PERMANENTLY associated with the ID that was used to obtain the item(s). iTunes items can not be transferred from one ID to another and IDs can not be merged.
The problem arises when you want to update an app. If you're doing it from iTunes on your computer, you must log out and back in to get to the correct ID. Then you update and log out/in again to get back to where you started. It's slightly easier if you update from the iPad/iPod device as there is no need to log out/in BUT you still need the correct password for the appropriate ID. Of course, with a disabled ID, the problem is much worse!
A replacement Apple ID makes sense ONLY if you wish to start out absolutely brand new with zero iTunes Store purchases.
If you're really butting your head aginst a wall and you're reasonably close to an Apple Store, my suggestion is that you make an appointment with the resident "Genius" and get his/her help.
One last thought... If your brother actually got a human on the phone to dispute the charges, go there and explain the problem. Of course, if Apple did not accept his explanation of what occurred, that could be the whole issue. Apple believes that money is owed on the account! -
My Apple ID account has been disabled.
My Apple ID account has been disabled. Whenever I try to login to my account to update apps on my mac or iPhone, I get a message that my account has been disabled. If I try to reset my account, I am told to enter the Recovery Key from my two-factor authentication setup. While I do have two-factor authentication on, I never saved the recovery key. A few days ago I called Apple Support and they eventually told me that the account would be unlocked unlocked after 8 hours, and then I could try my password again. This is obviously not the case.
I'm trying to figure out my next steps. Obviously Apple can't reset my account over the phone. However, the website seems to indicate that I will have to create a new account. Is there a way I can prove I am the owner of my account? Like if I brought my macbook and/or iPhone into the Apple store, would they be able to verify my account/identity and open my account? Also, if I needed a new account, would I be able to transfer my purchases over from my old one?I doubt the Apple store could do anything. They would end up calling Apple support too. If you called support and they agreed to unlock the account but haven't, call them back.
Apple officially states that purchases are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them and can't be transferred. You would have to ask if they could/would do this under the circumstance. -

My Apple ID has been disabled for the 3rd time. I have never used my mobileme Apple ID for any iTunes purchases. I've only used it for email. I use my yahoo.com Apple ID for purchases. To clarify, I've used my yahoo email address as my Apple ID for purchases. I don't understand why it would be an issue for an account that was never used for any types of purchases whatssoever.
The spate of problems I've had with this account have been neverending. Email forwarding rules being abruptly changed, deleted contacts when I transferred from mobileme, delayed email, and now this.

Yes, thanks for asking, I switched to icloud.com, I am aware it was mandatory to switch to iCloud after June 30 2012, so I decided to embrace the change and took the plunge a few days after iCloud was announced. Thats when the problems began.
The issue has been persistent ever since the data hack was announced by the media. I reset my AppleID password last night and it wouldn't accept my new password, but accepted the old one. -

Open iTunes on the computer. Without any iPhone plugged in, go to iTunes' menu and do Store > Sign Out.
The click the iTunes Store row on the left of the iTunes display. You can then sign on from the signon row on the right side of the display using the correct Apple ID and password. Then you'll be all set! -
