Apple ID and App Store country problem.

Hi, I am having issues, having created a French Apple ID I cannot download apps that I want off the AppStore because they are in the US AppStore. I would like to change the country linked to my Apple ID and switch my Apple ID to a US one. I was wondering if that was possible without creating a new account (which would totally suck). And I just don't get why Apple does this kind of "zoning" thing with the Apple IDs. I mean I'm not even allowed to download series and movies in English, I would have to watch the French version, that *****! Also, as I may move to the US for school soon I would like to be able to use the US AppStore normally too. All of this applies to iTunes and the AppStore for Mac and for iPhone. Thanks to all for your help and information.

You can ONLY buy from the itunes store of your country of residence ( as proven by the valid billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

    You have already successfully made an Apple ID or you would not be able to post here in the ASC. You should not create another Apple ID, you should use the one that you have or you will create issues for yourself in the future.
    Open the iTunes app on your Mac. On the Home pane (little house) scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the flag in the lower right corner. Choose the Japanese flag.
    Then at the top of the page in the Quick Links on the right side choose Account. Do notcreate a new Apple ID fill in your current Apple ID and follow the on screen instructions.

    In our network environment, we are trying to limit a group of computing devices to only communicate in a secure environment. If we could limit these units to always communicate with a server in a DMZ zone, and the server pass the information to the small group of computing devices.
    Is it possible to configure a Mac or windows platform server to work as a relay that can provide connectivity to iTunes and the App Store?
    The goal is to have, in a secure environment, access to iTunes and App Store content without having the computing devices ever reach the internet.

    The "13" is, I believe, embedded in US Federal law. That does niot answer your question, however.
    If you are using a Mac, you can set up accounts for the children and use parental controls to limit acces to things. If you want them to buy things, do it through your own account under control.

  • Personal hotspot and app store loading problem

    I have an iPhone5s and I updated it to IOS 8.0.2, after updating:
    1- The Personal hotspot icon is gone from setting and I can't use it at all,
    2- App store doesn't load the data, when I touch the app store icon I just see the white page and no data are loaded.

    So it sounds as if your Personal Hotspot is not available in Settings after updating your iPhone's software. I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - 
    iOS: Troubleshooting Personal Hotspot
    Under Basic Troubleshooting, start with step 7
    Reset your network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    If you still see the issue, restore the iPhone.
    For your issue with not being able to see anything in the App Store, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - 
    Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    Specifically the section Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

    The lack of an iTunes store and AppStore in my country(Macedonia) is frustrating, as would many other users agree. My question is not why, but how can I help apple achieve this? How can I help create both the iTunes and App store? I believe that many developers in Macedonia are more than willing to become iOS Developers, and there is a lot of music, books and movies to go around too.     Launch iTunes.
    Select iTunes Store in the source list on the left.
    Go to the bottom of the window and click the round flag icon.
    Europe > Macedonia
    Same for the Mac App Store.

    I would suggest that you buy a visa or mastercard gift card and put a few dollars on it and use it to access the store.  Just add money to it before you want to buy something from the store and it will act like a normal credit card for you.

    When fist setting up your new iphone you will be asked to log in with an apple id and password. If this did not happen you can then do as you suggested going to settings to itunes and app store and add your apple id login. This apple id login must have already been created for the iphone to accept it. If this apple id is already created but is not being accepted by your iphone you then should shut down your iphone and restart the device.

    If you are getting an 'invalid security code' message then is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
    If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
    And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store

  • ITunes and App store access after changing Apple ID.

    Having changed country of residence recently, I changed my Apple ID. However, the old ID continues to come up on my iPad and asks me for my password. The ID has been closed and it will not accept either my old password or my new password under the new ID. It does work on my PC under the new Apple Id, but I cannot access, download or update any apps etc on my iPad.
    When attempting to access the Apps Store it constantly comes up with a log-in using my old ID and will not et me change that ID. If I try to change the password using "Forgot password", it simply will not recognise the old ID as being a valid ID. The email address for the old ID is no longer valid or in use and that is why I chnaged my Apple ID rather than setting up a new ID.
    Any help greatly appreciated

    I am sorry to hear that you cannot connect to or download from the iTunes and App Stores. There are some very good troubleshooting steps that I would recommend in this situation. Please follow the steps and information in the article below. 
    Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time. 
    Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
    Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
    If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
