Apple id appearing in app store is different from signed in apple id in settings

There were updates on my apps in the app store so I tried to update them all. Then there was a prompt saying that my apple id has been disabled and I need to change my password. So I did. After that I signed in the apple id in the settings to be able to use it for the update of my apps. When I tried to update, the prompt for the password appeared but with different apple id that I can't recognize. It was not mine and no one else uses my phone except myself. I tried to sign out my id, restart my phone but still, same id is showing up in my app store. Kindly help me with this problem. Thanks.

In the bottom right corner of this web page there is a "Contact Us" link. Contact Apple and inform them of this problem. Many users have created threads on this and many others posted that they also have this problem. There must be a problem with the App Store that is causing this. Another option is to wait a day or two until this gets sorted out then try to updates the apps then.

  • Is there a way to see if a app in the app store is different from it's website counterpart?

Some apps in the mac app store have had features removed by Apple's reques. I would much profer the convinience of the app store to a third party website but it is not worth it if it means a app has been dumbed down purely because Apple did not approve of a certain feature.
So is there any where that shows a list of apps that are different when comparing their website versions to the version in the mac app store?

  • The APP store wants me to sign into itunes store and the default Apple ID it displays is wrong

    I have iPhone 5c.
    OS 8.3
When trying to get an update at the App store, the prompt says sign in to iTunes store but the default Apple ID it shows is not mine.
I can sync OK and access my account and everything else shows the correct Apple ID.
How do I get the default Apple ID that is displayed changed?

What that means is that the Application you were trying to update was either purchased or downloaded to that device by a different Apple ID.

Unfortunately you have taken an Apple product outside of the area where Apple currently does business. There isn't legally a way around this. Apple cannot license apps to you where you currently live.

  • I cant find an app that should be on that should be on the app store, and when I click on the website (sky poker) and I click on "downland thee app on the app store" only a white page appear on app store.

Well, I went to a Sky Poker website and find it it seems to be something related to playing poker online and the currency is measured in pounds. I do not see anywhere on the website where it tells me that I can download an iPhone app, and when I search the App Store (US) I do not see a listing their either. You may need to send their support a question/email and ask if they have something in the app store and what the name of it is.

  • Can not connect to the app store in itunes from app icon

error message  "cannot connect to itunes store" when attempting to access apps through the ipad icon for apps

Go back to the home screen. Double tap the home button to bring up the bottom. Hold your finger down on the app store till the MINUS sign appears. Then hit the minus sign.
Then Hold the home and power button at the same time till the ipad shuts off(ignore red slider, keep holding) and the apple logo appears(reboot). Then try to open up the app store again.

  • Apps store application disappeared from iPhone

Hi, I've lost App store application in my iPhone after it was upgraded iOS 4.1. In addition, apps sync is not allowed in iTunes, I mean can not be checked. How can I the app store application and from where? Which software might cause the failure: iOS or iTunes? Should I make a back up from iTunes? Can be repair the sync function?
I have an iPad also, but I don't dare to sync it now.
Many thanks for help in advance.

    Hi wjosten,
It worked! You pointed out exactly the solving of my problem. I forgot that I set some restrictions.
Since I disable to apps download function, it caused that the Apps store icon vanished from the screen.
After I had enabled this function again, the icon appeared on the screen.
    Thank you again!
    cheers

  • App store asks me to sign in constantly. why?

app store asks me to sign in constantly. why?

    Hello!
I suggest that if this problem is on your Mac, in order to solve this problem, we trash the /sc info/ folder using the Terminal command below:
Open a Terminal window - for example by searching for the word terminal via Spotlight (the magnifying glass in the top right corner of your computer display) - and copy-paste the line below:
        sudo rm -Ri /Users/Shared/SC\ Info/
Enter your password after pressing return. Note that your will not see that you're typing, so no stars or dots like: *** You'll have to enter the password blindly and press return once you’re finished.
After doing this, restart your computer, open iTunes and authorize one last time.
For your education, so you know what we’re doing: this /sc info/ folder stores your authorizations. So deleting the folder and restarting the Mac will force a fresh version to be created. This fresh version will not have any of the errors or corruptions which are probably causing this issue.
    Issue solved?
If the problem is on your iPhone, restart or reset the iPhone: Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
