Apple ID both right and wrong in iPad

Hello:
I posted this in the entirely wrong place in this forum. I would delete the wrong post if I knew how to. Here it is, hopefully in the correct place.
I am helping my wife with her iPad/iPhone. Same issue with both.
In Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: new email address, indicating new Apple ID (I know the password)
In App Store > Update All: fails. Up comes box "Apple ID password" and in it is the email address for my wife's old Apple ID. We do not have the old password, and while I just tried to reset it, this failed too (I recreated the email address and tried to get a messsage from Apple with info what to do to reset the password, but no message arrived two hours later).
So, the question is:
How do I change the Appe ID in my wife's iPad and iPhone for App Store? (Remember, it is correct in Settings > iTunes & App Store.)

Hello Hans,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you have put in the new Apple ID and when you update apps the old Apple ID appears. That means you will need to remove those apps and download them under the new Apple ID. You would need to know the old password to continue to use that Apple ID

    No, it is a reversible plug. Either way is fine.
    Just make sure you plug it in straight until it "clicks" into place. It may take a bit of force if new, but check there's nothing in the port first.

    The av digital accessory does audio only on the Itouch but works fine on the IPad showing both audio and video?

    To try and keep it simple, there are 3 variables here.
    1) Acquisition - You can either record with a stereo or mono mic, you've probably used mono.
    2a) Capturing - In the 'clip settings' tab of the log and capture window, you can choose how you want to capture your audio, choosing from the 'Audio Format' drop down menu.
    2b) Editing - If you've already captured some material, in the timeline, check the audio tracks. If, for example, a clip has audio tracks a1 and a2, and you can see 2 sets of small triangles at the start and end of the clip, you have stereo audio.
    (double click the audio track and in the viewer you will see a 'stereo a1a2' tab with linked stereo - any changes you apply here will equally apply to both tracks - although you can 'pan' the audio using the 'pan slider' for example, if you want the sound of a car approaching to start in the left speaker, then move to the right speaker as it moves past on screen)
    If there aren't the triangles, double click the audio and in the viewer you'll have 2 seperate mono tracks - mono a1 and mono a2 - assuming you haven't captured the audio format as 'mono mix', ch1(L) or ch2(R).
    You can link seperate mono tracks in the timeline by selecting the audio clip and hitting opt (alt) L, (similarly, you can unlink stereo track by the same procedure).
    If you've got a single mono track, you can duplicate the track and then link, pan, etc as required - can't remember exactly as it's ages since I captured single channels.
    3) Output - The decisions you make in 2) determine how your content willl be outputted. (Is 'outputted' a word?)
    I'm by no means an audio expert so I hope this is clearer than mud.

    Sure you can, with a bit of JavaScript. What sort of fields will you be using and what part of the field do you want to be green or red?

  • Netflix craches after updating to IOS7 on Apple TV, both 2nd and 3rd Gen

    Apple TV crashes after about 6 seconds of playing Netflix content. This happens on both my 2nd  as well as 3rd Generation Apple TV's. Have done hard reboot twice to assure the latest software is loaded, Currently running 6.0 (build 6646.65)
    Anybody else having this issue?

    I have this problem too.  My Apple TV 3rd gen with the same software build will crash and reboot multiple times in one day when starting a Netflix stream.  It usually happens about 6 seconds after pressing play.
    With the previous software version 5.3, almost every time I started a Netfilx stream, the screen would go black or freeze after about 6 seconds but the audio would keep playing.  Version 6.0 has actually made my Netflix experience better in that if the content keeps playing there is both video and audio.  Hopefully, the next update will fix the crashes though.  I've reported the bug to Apple and have my Apple TV set to send data to Apple.

  • I'm getting audio in voiceover only on the right side in iMovie..  how can I adjust the pan.  Both right and left work in Garageband but not in Imovie.

    I'm getting audio in voiceover recordings only on the right side in playback.  How can I adjust the balance?  I'm using an external mic and preamp that work fine (both channels) in Garageband, so it's not my recording setup.  Balance is Ok using internal mic but the sound is not as good.

    When you share your project, use SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME.
    Click Options.
    In the Sound settings/Channels, choose MONO.
    In the Video settings, choose the codec of your choice (probably h.264) under Compression.

    Is there a way I can sync my apps purchased from my iPad and iPhone with each other without getting the apps from my child's iPad mixed in as well?

    forgot to mention to also UNCHECK the "Automatically sync new apps"  box in that same apps window at the bottom of the screen.  that way you can keep them seperated and cutsom.   it might also help to go into iTunes Prefs> Devices> and select Prevent ipods,..... from syncing automatically.

    I've looked around for an answer to this, but so far nothing. Can you help?
    When I type in a search term in iTunes (Library: music; Search: all), I get all the correct results, but I also get results that I shouldn't as well. I thought it had to do with the words found in the album's Description field (in this case, it's a podcast), but I deleted the Description (which did contain the search term/s), and yet they still show up in the search results -- as if the podcast is somehow imprinted with the words I deleted, though I cannot find them elsewhere. (These terms do not show up in the podcast's "Show Description" either.)
    Does this make sense?
    Any ideas?

    Hi - Thanks! I checked the Show Description (using Control, aka right-click) but did not see any terms that would cause the podcast to show up in search results. I've already deleted any text in the Description field (Get Info). Still perplexed.

    I know this thread belongs in another forum. I actually placed it in another forum and received next-to-no response. I guess those guys aren't you guys.
    Here it is:
    "Amplification without iTunes."
    Volume's become a serious issue. My sound is uneven. Music I uploaded months/years ago is fine, the new stuff is far below it. If I'm jogging, some albums near inaudibility amid background noise. I've had this problem since I upgraded from Photo to Video, I'm not sure exactly when, I'm not sure why.
    Why is this?
    I've trying tinkering with the volume through iTunes. No avail whatsoever. My volume limit is at maximum. It's driving me mad.
    I'm looking for an external program to amplify mp3's before I upload them. Or, some solution.
    Any ideas? Much appreciated.
    ...I received one response mentioning iVolume and MacMP3Gain. They're two programs I'm kind of dubious on. I don't just want to level my volume. I want to make that average level louder.

    And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
    You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :
    But that will potentially tie that computer to that account for 90 days : Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
    Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ?

    I have an iPhone 4S and the latest Apple TV, both setup with my email address as the Apple ID.  I subscribed to iTunes Match so our music could be played from iCloud.  I gave my wife an iPad 3 and set it up using her email address as the Apple ID.  When I try to turn on iMatch so she can play our music from iCloud on her new iPad it tells me that she needs a subscription to iTunes Match.  Is it Apple's intent that we would need two iTunes Match subscriptions?  If not, how do I accomplish what I want to get done?

    The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
    Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
    also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
    and the iTunes Match services.
    (I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
    If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
    iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
    and
    iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
    In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.

    Before you do anything else, try charging via a wall outlet for a while, since its off. Then try turning it back on.
    When you put the device into recovery mode it allows you to restore the device when no other options work. You do risk losing everything currently strored on the ipad itself. Hopefully you've performed regular backups either via itunes, icloud or both. Evern if you have synced content to either of those, you may not lose everything. All previous purchases have been saved in the itunes and app stores, so you can dowload them again.
    while the ipad is off, press and hold the home button and plug the usb cord into the ipad. You should see a message pop up on the itunes window on your compoter screen that state it has discoverd an ipad in recovery mode.
    You should now be able to restore
