Apple id changed email but my old email coming up on log ons

Hi
I changed my apple id email address and had to log out all of my devices to get the id to ask me for the correct account on all my devices
I have since bought a new Mac and everything set up fine until today the app store updates are asking for my old id email and I can't figure it out, at the moment it is face time and app store that I need to change, I cannot figure out how to set it up on the mac with my new email address on the app password id etc

At some points it's a vicious circle because it asks for a password at key times when trying to correct the problem. Note that the new email address shows when I log into my Apple account and shows it was verified. For some reason the system isn't updating to the new email in ALL places.

You can reset all of your settings for the Apple TV, which includes your account information:
The information is on page 31 of the Apple TV User Guide

You can reset all of the settings on your Apple TV to factory values.
Important: This requires you to reenter all of your network and account
information.
To reset all settings:
Choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

My apple ID is linked to an old email that I cannot access anymore. Frustratingly it won't allow me to switch it to my current email. It says that my real email address is my rescue email. I would like my primary email to be connected to my apple id. I made up a new email address to use as my "rescue" but it won't allow me to switch. How can I make this happen?

I have the same problem -- no email arrives when I try to reset my password.

- password is wrong
- follow the link to reset password
- chose "send email" but no email arrives (I even check 'junk' folder to be sure)

- says my DoB is wrong but I'm sure DoB is correct and there's no way forward

how do I fix this, I have a new email address, but still receive emails from the old email, I am received emails from the new email account but when I send an email it sends from the old email address. I've checked the setting but cannot figure this one out.

If you don't, you can choose a username for your @icloud.com account.

Try looking in your User folder.
Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Mail/V2
If you prefer to make your User library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.

You might want to bookmark the command. I have to use it again after every update. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

If your rescue email is not working and you cannot remember even one answer, then you only have one option - call Apple.

It sounds like you're unexpectedly seeing the incorrect Apple ID on your iPhone 5s. You can use these steps to sign out of iCloud on your iPhone 5s and sign in with the right Apple ID:
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account [Sign Out in iOS 8.] Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.
