  • Credit Card problem

    Hi,
    Due to to the Adobe securety problem, I requested a new credit card from my card provider and updated the payment details 24th of October.
    The card was debited by Adobe the 25th, but still, I get a warning when I start a CC app stating that there is a problem with the payment and CC will stop wotking in 13 days. Adobe has recieved my money so please fix this asap.
    I have been in contact with Chat-support two time, but no help from them

    After many,many, many  hours of trying I was finally not refused when trying to connect to your payment server (as a first time buyer). So I was asked for my credit card details for the purchase of an application - which I stated. But when I tried to confirm the purchase, my VISA card was refused twice due to "Credit card error". As I know there is nothing wrong with my credit card, please tell me what to do in order to purchase applications from the ovi store.  I don't want to pay many times over for an application which I never downloaded from OviStore. But I anyhow also tried my AmEx-card for the purchase of another app, but same "Credit-card" problem. To say that "I am not amused" with my OviStore experience so far must be the understatement of the century.

    I have changed my Apple/iTunes credit card and now I am unable to enter that card into Apple Pay. I don't get the prompt at the beginning of the entering process to enter the Apple Store credit card as I did before I changed the card.

    I Think that the reason so many of us are asking is that it did offer to add the card that was used in iTunes even though it was not supported. When I first setup Apple Pay it asked me if I wanted to use my card associated with iTunes. My card was an unsupported GM Master Card. I chose instead to add my supported Chase debit card. I could never get it to ask me again. And I cannot add the GM card through passbook.
    It to may not have completed adding the iTunes card if I had chosen it first, but sure acted like it might had I chosen it first. I think that is why so many of us were asking.

    Yes, Apple will validate the credit card, when you are setting up the account information for an Apple ID. The credit card must be valid in the country of the store, that you are trying to buy from. And the card you are using must neither be blocked by the issuer of the card nor by the Apple for store services.
    The error message  you are citing is misleading: The error message could either mean
    that you are using the wrong type of card (Are you using a debit card or a credit card?)
    that the AppeID or the credit card you are using has been blocked for security reasons,
    or that you are encountering a store error, because you are trying to use the iTunes Store or AppStore from a country, where it is not yet supported.

    I would just like to add Romit's reply that you can try this & check if it works,
    1. Sign out & sign back in to CCapp (desktop).
    2. Launch any product, it will throw a prompt to renew the subscription, at the bottom an option of "license this software" will be displayed.
    3. Please click on this & it will ask you to sign in & the subscription should be activated.
    Note:The process works when the subscription is active & payment transaction has been completed.

  • Credit card problems?

    It seems that Adobe still cannot master its credit card processing system for subscriptions given the number of complaints in the Forums  but still will not offer a Direct Debit system except in Germany. 
    Direct Debits are would be easier to manage for Adobe and more secure for the subscriber. Remember that recurring payment agreements on credit card are difficult to either cancel and/or retrieve payments claimed in error by the trader (confirmed to me by Visa last week).  So I will not subscribe to CC until the risk of Adobe's credit card system go away, until a time limit can be put of credit card contracts or until Adobe offers its Direct Debit system more widely.
    (I also note that it seems that Adobe restricts comments made on credit card problems to its own staff.)

    I solved that with a pay pall account.
    you can make there a account with your credit card and pay then for that app.
    But dont forget to check your credit card bill. they can charge you for trying to buy the app.
    I have buy 3 times for one app without receiving it.
    The solution that i did with paypall worked perfect!

  • Apple's credit card authorization failing?

    I've had a stable AppleID and credit card for years.
    Today, I went to enable quick purchase in the Apple Store app on my iPad. It asked me to re-enter the autorization code for my credit card. I did this, but received an error message that the credit card was invalid.
    I then went to iTunes on my Mac. I tried to authorize my credit card, but again failed.
    I called my bank, and they assured me that the card is fine, and that there was no validation attempt from Apple. And, I was able to buy other things online with that credit card.
    After talking for about 30 minutes with Apple support trying to fix "my" problem, a support rep said she wanted to get her supervisor online, and that this appeared to be an emergent problem; she had heard about several recent similar instances.
    After holding for the supervisor to come on line, the support rep came back online sans supervisor to say that there was no additional information for me. That I could contact my bank or change credit cards.
    I guess it is not worth Apple's time for them to debug this error in their e-commerce system to get my money. What was the Bill Gates joke about him being too rich to take out the two seconds to pick up a $100 bill lying on the street?

    It does me some good to hear that I'm not the only one having this problem. I have used the same card for Itunes from the time I signed up for the account. Last night, my payment method is not valid and my card is declined, even though the check payment posted to my credit card. It doesn't matter what computer I try to make purchases from, nor does it matter what card I use, they are all declined. I have contacted the bank to verify that my accounts are active and valid (all three accounts are good). I have emailed the itunes folks about the issue but haven't received any response (of course they have 48 hrs to respond). Not to mention they don't have a number to call either. Very frustrating, even though it is they who are missing out on my dollars.

    Hi Everyone,
    This is not the first thread on this issue. The good news is there is a solution. The bad news is that you have to wait on Apple iTunes e-mail support. Their first response will be you need to contact your card issuer. Now you and I know that is not the issue at all. After writing them back, ask them to reset or refresh your account. You will have to wait 24hrs and re-enter your credit card info. It has no effect on the rest of your account, but it will solve this problem. I am not sure where the bug is, but there are too many of us that have this issue. Hang in there. It is easily fixed if you can get them to respond. Good luck!

    What do you mean 'wont let me purchase' ? What happens when you try to buy something, if you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
    If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you will have to do so (these are user-to-user forums) :

    - click on your country's flag
    - click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
    - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    - then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    Suppose I want to develop an iPhone app which performs user subscription for the app to assist the user and provide the user with its facilities and this user subscription can be done only when user pays some amount to the app. Now what I want is that this subscription amount should be payable by providing the credit card payment in the app. So my question is that is this credit card payment allowed by Apple or such an app will be rejected by Apple?

    After I enter all my credit card information correctly as it is on the card, I click done but then it tells me to enter a valid security code for my card. Which i already did, and it is correct for that card.
    Why does it keep doing this?

    I have the same problem. My Credit Card/Debit Card company told me that there were sufficient funds ($20.00) to cover the cost of my purchase ($19.98), but ITunes tried to clear $20.25 to see if the account was good enough for ITunes to deal with. I refuse to use another card and over 24 hours ago, wrote to ITunes asking that they solve this silly problem by having them bill my credit card for the correct amount of $19.98 and NOT $20.25. Until then, they will not get paid, and I will not purchase anything further from them, due to a screw up that ITunes has themselves created. I am upset that I have to write e-mails to them and that I do not have the option to contact someone by phone, especially now that it is over 24 hrs since I wrote them per their rules.
