Apple ID disabled - any ideas?

About two weeks ago my wife noticed a duplicate charge on our credit crard from iTunes in the amount of 63.59.  We thought it was a dup and made the mistake of have the credit card cancel the dup charge.  After checking my iTunes account I realized that the charge was legit and I asked the credit card company to repost and pay the second charge which was done.  At that point I noticed my Apple ID was suspended.  I tried to call Apple but was lead to an email where I explained what happened.  I was responded to with a series of preprogrammed emails to which I kept responding to that all they needed to do was call my credit card company ( I provided contact information) to fix the situation.  I was told the reason for the Apple ID suspension had nothing to do with the purchase and that will will not contact anyone.  They also will not telll me the real reason other than it is not just me but many people that are suspended. They also stated that they will not even estimate how long it will take to complete their investigation.  They told me, "We ask that you endure this rather unfortunate circumstance with stead-fast resolve".  Other things said include, "Michael, in order to make sure this gets looked into thoroughly, I've consulted with my senior advisor. I'd asked if it was possible to see if there was any way we could get this resolved over the phone, but I'm sorry to say I wasn't able to get approval for your request. Phone support is something that we're simply not able to offer for you.". Lastly all I was told is this.., "This is due to our increasing efforts to maximize security on the iTunes Store. Our current stage of operations dictates that we cannot comment on why we are enhancing these various security protocols; we also will not speculate on how long this security enhancement will last. "
I asked if I could go to an Apple store with photo ID etc and got the response below.  I guess I became annoying as I kept asking what I could do but I cannot update anything....  Any ideas on fixing this with Apple???

    Sorry to say it, but this is normal for Apple TVs. I've owned a TV2 and a TV3, and neither lasted for an entire year. They are quite fragile and of low quality, and as you can see here, quite fussy even when they work. The wi-fi receiver on these are cheap and unreliable.
    Consider the $99 an annual rental fee. They rarely work for a whole year, so if you are going to use the platform, you will have to replace them constantly.
    Also, when one dies under warranty, never, never send it to Apple for repair. Go to the Apple Store for replacement. I sent my ATV3 in for warranty repair using a box sent to me by Apple, and although FedEx tracking showed it was accepted by Apple, it was never seen again. Apple won't replace it or even return my calls.

    Try a Restore but force the iPad into Recovery Mode first.
    Doing that involves restarting the iPad, holding the Home Button, and connecting it to iTunes.  Holding the Home Button is the trick.  Here's an article explaining how to do it.

    I suggest you get 9.2.  You need to install the same or later version of the OS.  One some computer the shipped version has extra drivers.  The drivers will not be in the official release in this case 9.1.  They would be in 9.2.

    Try holding down the option key then power on.  This brings up the startup manager.  Click on your hd. Click on right arrow key.
    You need to figure out the level of your firmware before installing 10.2 or greater. ( The PC name for firmware is BIOS. ) Installing 10.2 with a down level firmware will most likely make your iMac unusable and difficult to fix.
    What is firmware?
    The firmware software receives control when you poweron your machine.  It does some hardware testing and some hardware configuration then passes control to your version of Mac OS.   It reside on a PROM ( program read only memory ) chip on the logic board.
    Figuring out what level of firmware you have?
    Open Firmware, boot into Open Firmware.
    Power on your iMac while holding down command+option+o+f
    The first output line contains the firmware level. Mine reads:
    Apple PowerMac4,1 4.1.9f1 BootRom built on 09/14/01 at 13.18.04
    Copyright 1994-2001 Apple Computer Inc.
    On my machine, I have 4.1.9f1.

    You must have iTunes Match enabled on the device to hear ad-free iTunes Radio.

    I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iMac. If you continue to have issues with your Mac shutting down part way through the boot up process, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful (given your description, it sounds like it could be either issue, or a combination of both):

    You need to delete them and then download them from the new Apple ID. This may require repurchasing paid applications.

  • Connected wirelessly to Canon printer MX340. Duplex printing option is grayed out for me but not on my daughter's non-Mac laptop or husband's PC which is connected to the printer. Mine has two-sided option available at the Apple store. Any ideas?

    We use a Canon MX340 series printer/fax/scanner. My husband has his PC hooked to it and my daughter prints wirelessly from it with no problem with her non-Mac laptop. I have trouble printing. Often it does not print and I have to delete the job from the queue. Other times it will print OK but two-sided printing is always grayed out in my printing options. When I took it to the Apple store and printed on their network (selecting their printer) the two-sided option was available. Makes me think the printer is set up wrong, but I am not certain. A fw times at home when trying to print I got an error message about incompatible fonts, but it printed anyway after deleting the job and starting over. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

    OK, just an update.
    Two years into this, I still find I can only do full duplex printing by using Windows XP running inside of VMWare. I've had occasional, ephemeral luck with duplex printing, but nothing long lasting.
    I've tried this in Tiger and Leopard (now at 10.5.6), and I've had this issue with Canon printers MP780 iP4300 and MP610, direct connected to my Core2Duo 17" MBP. I also have this issue when printing over a network, but that's a much harder problem to solve.
    Currently, this is my #1 most pressing issue for my Mac, because not being able to print from a computer when you print a lot is a really big drag, and using VMWare all the time is also a really big drag. Other people posting seem to be able to print in Duplex using the very same printers. What could be wrong with my MBP? I see the duplex box option, but most of the time it's grayed out as if my printer doesn't support duplex.
    I've tried direct selecting printer drivers from the system preferences, but nothing seems to have an effect. And this is off of a clean Leopard install.
    My wife now has similar problems with her new MBP - the Canon print drivers (CUSP & non CUSP) aren't allowing the Duplex box to be checked.
    I am willing to pay good money to anyone who thinks they can fix this problem.
