  • I have an older iMac 5,1 and the disc drive no longer works. I was hoping that I could the Apple USB super drive as a replacement, but the info on the super drive page says compatible with iMac 2012 or later. Does anyone know why it would not work for me?

A reply to similar question (Q & As , in product page Apple Store) says:
"...dissable the internal reader hardware from devices setup. Then plug the external usb superdrive and that's it."  Answered by Enrique T from Lima Oct  25 2013.
If you can locate an external Apple USB 'Air" superdrive for earlier model MacBook Air, that should work. The newer one for the Air is the same as for iMac, now.
You may be able to use other brands of external USB optical drive with your older intel-based iMac, as some of them function capably. A few should also be able to see system discs or other bootable utilities on DVD.
    Hopefully this helps.
    Good luck & happy computing!

I think you can solve your problems by removing your AppleID email address from BOTH the Messages setting on your iPhone and the iMessages settings on your Mac.
    On iPhone:
    Settings > Messages > iMessage > Dissabled
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > touch the "(i)" < touch "Remove This Email"
    On Mac:
    Open "Messages" application
    Click "Messages menu > Preferences
    Click "Accounts"
    Select your AppleID account
Under the "You can be reached for messages at" settings, uncheck your AppleID email address and your phone number
Then uncheck the "Enable this account" setting
And lastly, ask all of your friends with iPhones to delete all iMessage conversations (blue bubbles) in their entirety.
To test, send a friend a new text using their phone number (not their email address) and watch the color of the bubble.  If it's green then you are using SMS.

  • How to remove or dissable icloud baypass code?

    Hi all,
I have locked my macbook pro via Find My iPhone! and it locked my hdd drive!
and everytime i need to restart my macbook i have to hold "option" botton to fill baypass code!!!
Is there any way to remove or dissable it from icloud or System Preferences?

You need to enter the code you used on the iPhone to lock the Macbook. Don't you know it?
If you don't know know the code used take the Macbook Pro and proof of purchase into an Apple store and they should be able to unlock it for you.

  • My phone is dissabled and i dnt syc to the comp b4 how can i repair it

my phone is dissabled and i dnt syc to the comp b4 how can i repair it

    Hey korodi,
Thanks for the question. The following article provides some solutions if your iPhone displays a "Disabled" message, and you have never synced with a computer:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer
If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
    3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
    5. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

I had a problem before as the username Aninimy and

I preper to loose them all accept the first [email protected]

Having the same problem on my iMac.  I've tried everything to do with connection problems in the Help article re: the iTunes store with no results.  Also contacted Support, which referred me to the Help article and to the Support Communities i.e. here; no dice.  I get the idea that something's mixed up here; they told me it was probably my internet connection rather than an iTunes issue, but according to my diagnostics the network is working perfectly fine.  It has to be something on the far end - especially since there would appear to be no less than four people with the issue.
