Apple id does not change

dear community,
I am unable to change my AppleId. If I type in in the prompt and would save it it does not change it. The new ID is not in use everytime.

I mean the input row to refer the new mail adress (see picture).
If I would confirm this mail nothing happens.
My current Apple Id is the @icloud.com mail.

Changing Apple ID does not change in all Apps

I recently (within the last year) changed my ISP and switched my email account. The old email was registered to my Apple ID and when I switched, I also changed the email to be my new Apple ID using "manage my apple id" online. This means that the Apple ID should be the same account, just a different name. There seemed to be no problems with this change on my iPhone and iTunes, but on my Macbook several applications are still looking for my old email for the Apple ID. These include iCloud and Messages.
I changed the Apple ID on my user in Users & Groups in System Preferences using the Change... option. I only have one user on the system and it is the Admin account. I can't find a way to change this in iCloud however. Messages isn't much of a problem, but more of an inconvenience. Every time I log in to my user account, the Messages dialog pops up asking me to sign in with the password to my Apple ID and displays the old one. I just cancel out of this. In the Messages application however, I have removed the old account and added the new one and I am able to send and receive messages using it.
Why are these apps still asking me for my old Apple ID when my Admin Apple ID is my new one?

iCloud and the iMessages servers are effectively independent of the others.
You can in fact use different IDs for iTunes, iCloud and iMessages.
Start with System Preferences > iCloud.
There is no setting in here for enabling Messages (i.e. it has no links with any form account there).
Use the Sign Out button to disable the current Apple ID and then add the new one.
Do the same in Messages > Preferences > Accounts for the iMessages account.
As you have Mountain Lion use the Details Button then the Sign Out one in the next pane.
I have two of my several Apple IDs listed in th Users and Groups pane but it also is deactivated as regard to changing password resets.
You can alos use an Apple issued email ID as A Valid AIM screen name in Messages (Add under AIM/AOL depending on version)
This means @mac.com and iCloud issued @me.com and @icloud.com can be used as AIM Screen Names.
This may mean you can have it as the iMessages ID and as a Screen name.

APPLE TV DOES NOT WORK WITH NETFLIX

APPLE TV DOES NOT WORK WITH NETFLIX, just a black screen and "Netflix is loading" message appears. I can´t even see Netflix´s home page or set up my account. Netflix is working fine on all other devices at home, but in Apple TV.
I have tried the 8.8.8.8 DNS trick, the turn off procedure, the manual IP setting, but nothing....black screen still appears

It started working.....!!!!! (It seems someone back there is listening)
I "forced" an upgrade, I mean it showed "AppleTV is updated", nevertheless I re-started the system using the "return to original configurations" option. Then it updated again by itself to a newer version....and started working perfectly.
I have paired my apple wireless keyboard and it works fine, this way is easier to set up passwords or so (you can also do it with your remote).
TIPS:
I didn´t change any language or video quality configuration (scared to do so)
I changed to ethernet (cable) instead of wireless
My internet plan is 6 Megabytes (it was the same while it wasn't working)

Apple TV does not sign-in to YOUTUBE

My Apple TV does not accept to sign into my Youtube account. I get a message "This account cannot be used in this Apple TV. Try a different account. I tried a different account. It didn't work. I restored and resseted my Apple TV. It is still not working. Can you help please?

Mystery to me, too. See my similar item above. For a couple of years it has always worked on my two Apple TV's.
I've just found the YouTube web site help (with some searching) says YouTube now doesn't support the YouTube app on Apple TV's. Really? What's with that?
Apparently there are some complicated two-part verification methods to sign in, but it is puzzling why this situation has just changed for no apparent reason. These methods are included in other items on this forum, but seem unnecessarily complicated to me after years of no problems.

After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. During the phone calls I tried putting the date and time in automatic, changing the username and password, I even tried using somebody elses username and password. Please help, facetime is my tool to telecomute, and it is hurting my job.

My Mac has FaceTime 2.0 and it is terrible, I tried to download a new copy but the apple store does not have 2.0 Also I chat was the way I communicated before I upgraded. What happened?

I upgraded to Lion X and have been having problems with FaceTime my version is 2.0 and the Apple store does not have this version, what happened to the changes, I used to use IChat and it was great, this is no longer available. Any hints for video conferencing or for what is going on.

You can video conference with the iChat component of Messages. Not sure if that's possible with Facetime. I have been using Facetime for video chat without any problems. Quality is no different than with iChat.

Cant login to itunes anymore with any of my iphones. I have 3. Now I get an error with the following for any phone I try: Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect. I have 2 separate Apple Id Accounts for each phone, both get the same error.
My password is correct and so is my apple id. Nothing has changed since I first set it up a long time ago. Worked fine in October.
Anyone have a clue what to do?

Why the mouse pointer in Logic Pro does not change shape during work in OSX 10.9.1?

I've a MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch Late 2013 and I'm using two external displays. One connected to to the HDMI port (display 1) the other to thunderbolt (display 2). The MacBook display is closed. I’m working with Logic Pro 9.1.8 (32bit) with OSX 10.9.1

It was already difficult with OSX 10.9 but now after upgrading to 10.9.1 it's game over!
At least before I could select which display use Logic Pro to have all the shape functions of the pointer. Not in both displays, so to be forced to edit in ONLY ONE of the two displays using this workaround: (right click on Logic icon in Dock: Option --> Desktop on Display 1). Now or I select “Option --> All Desktops” or does not work. However, by selecting all displays you say goodbye to Mission Control. This can’t be a solution!!!
The amazing thing is that Nuendo has no problem while Logic Pro, Apple's native software, it can't!
With Nuendo it’s indifferent in which display you are working, the shape of the mouse pointer changes shape depending on the requirement in both displays.
This thing drives me crazy!

But this aren't really solutions but workarounds. Use Logic in all desktops makes Mission Control useless!!

I installed all over again by formatting as suggested by the genes of pro application support. Each plug-in, each virtual instrument, a job that lasted 3 days. And as suggested for each new plug-in I proceeded to check the proper functioning of Logic Pro and did each time a back up with Time Machine.
The Result:
Logic works as it should ONLY on the primary monitor and ONLY on the first desktop.
BUT
Reason and Nuendo dont' have this issue !!
I believe that Apple developers are thinking only to mobile phones and things like messages or face time.
And that's not all!
After a few weeks, perhaps by installing a version of Adobe Acrobat, I say maybe because I'm not sure, logic has stopped working properly. Again problems with the mouse pointer.
Luckily I had a back up! But now I'm terrified to install new programs. Thanks Apple!

My husband and I both have iphone 4's and we both have this same problem. I have an open ticket with apple, but so far they haven't been able to figure this out. First, they told me the problem was the mail server I was using. So, I tried sending/receiving invites from gmail and yahoo which they told me should work. Neither did. It doesn't matter whether the original invite was created in iCal or in Outlook or Google, once I open the invite in my mail and hit "add to calendar" the event is locked into my calendar. If the originator sends an update or cancels the meeting, I will receive an email with the new info, but the event doesn't change in my iphone calendar. This is completely lame. Why bother putting a calendar app on the phone if it can't handle basic functions?
Did you ever get a response from anyone or figure out a workaround? I'll post if I hear back from Apple with a fix.

Cursor does not change during the editing of clips

Hi. I am new to iMovie and am looking for some help. I have imported my clips, put them in my timeline and I want to shorten the clips. According to the movie that is on the Apple web site, when moving my cursor over the line separating my clips, my cursor is to 'change' allowing me to shorten the clip. Well, my cursor does not change. Is there a setting that needs to be corrected. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Hi konrad - the View Menu DOES have a 'Show Clip Volume Levels" IF you are using iMovie HD!
But according to your Profile you have iMovie 4. Volume control in that version is at the bottom beneath the Timeline Audio tracks.

Email sound does not change

I've recently upgraded my Iphone 5 til IOS 7.0.3 and I discovered that the sound for new email does not change when I change the setting in the controls.
Have anybody else experienced this, and what can I do to correct it?
Aparently alle other sounds can be changed - but not the one for new mail.
I'm getting very annoyed form the default ring-tone that is played evey time a new email is coming.

Safari 5.0 - URL does not change when changing location

I have noticed this on two Macs running 10.6.3. When moving between pages (eg, clicking on a link within a page, or using the Google search bar to locate and load a new page), the URL in the address bar does not change to the new location. It remains at the

Specific test: Load http://news.bbc.co.uk in Safari. Towards the top left of the page, there's a link to the BBC home page, which should appear in the status bar as "http://www.bbc.co.uk". Clicking on it will send you to that page, but the URL will remain as the news subdomain. If you click to another tab, then click back, it'll then update correctly.

MIght be corrupted Safari pref files.
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.
If the problem persists, go to ~/Library/Caches. From the com.apple.Safari folder move the "cache.db" file to the Trash. Relaunch Safari.

Is there a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If so, and as you've got the switch set to notification mute, then have you checked the taskbar (the function that the switch isn't set to is controlled via the taskbar instead) : double-click the home button, slide the taskbar to the right, and it's the icon far left.
If you havn't got the lock symbol at the top then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
