Apple ID e-mail disabled

I recently had my iPad substituted by Apple. Thru iTunes I used an old back-up to download for the new devise. The problem is that in the meantime the e-mail address used for my Apple ID no longer exists (old job) and now everything I try to do on the iPad requests an Apple ID password which obviously does not work.
Any ideas please??

Call Apple and they can check and see if the Apple ID was disabled and can reenable it. They also track phsihing sites. So report it.

I just got my iPhone 4 yesterday after having a Blackberry for 3 years.  Everytime I try to download any type of application it keeps displaying "Your Apple ID has been disabled."  Before activating my iPhone I downloaded the most recent iTunes.  I even went back today I reset my password after some minor research made the suggestion.  I sent an e-mail off to to Apple last night after their Apple tech was no help at all.  He is the one that suggested the e-mail and that he could not help me.  I am really frustrated at this point.  I am hoping that someone will be able to help me out.  I was extremely excited about getting my new iPhone 4 and now I am just over it!  Help please!!!

You need to contact iTunes support and send an email by following the link I posted.
    Simply going there does nothing.

  • "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" Every few weeks

I have had an iTunes account for years with no issue. Lately, I have been receiving the dreaded "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" message every few weeks on my iPad 2(currenly, my only iOS device). I go through the process of reauthorizing my password and info and it works again for a while, then happens again some time later. It's getting annoying. I'm not sure what's changed. Only two computers are authorized to use my account and I am the only one who can log into either of them. No one knows my info and I live alone.
The only thing I can think is that it's a bot spamming my e-mail address and passwords in an attempt to hack my account. If that's the case, am I really going to have to go through this every few weeks just to use my iPad? Don't get me started on how stupid it is to have to type in your password to update existing apps. And that's usually when I find out, not when I actually purchase one.
Is anyone else having this issue? I'm wondering if it's more widespread. Some time ago, a chinese app was mysteriously purchased on my account. Apple refunded the purchase and reset my password. That was about the time that all of this started. The reviews on the app left no doubt that it was happening to numerous people and I have no idea how they would have forced a purchase on so many user accounts.

    PLEEEEEEEASE, please, please fix this!!
Everyone should keep a few things in mind:
This is an occasional problem affecting a vanishingly small percentage of the installed base. Look at the numbers of actual instances in just this thread, look at the gaps in time, etc.
Many many more ... me for example ... have never seen it at all. That doesn't mean it's not an irritation for those afflicted, but it does mean that it's not something likely to be seen as a critical issue affecting the whole base.
You aren't talking to Apple here in these user-to-user forums, at all, for any reason. This sort of communication is handled through their established Feedback links. If you can suggest a better way for them to handle things then make your thoughts and feelings known at —

    Sorry, does this link work

I ended up having them call me then was able to give them 1 of my secret questions right and they reset things so I could reset all my secret questions.
Try going into contact support and see if you can schedule a call. There seems to be some issues with peoples' id's and this update. iTunes thought that I'd never bought anything from my computer or device before, and I clearly had, so it's like it got confused. THen I tried to get my questions reset, but the mail never came, which is why I just got a phone call because I felt it was 'real person' time.

  • TS1368 Your Apple ID has been disabled.

When I try to sign onto iTunes on my iPhone, I get the message:  "Your Apple ID has been disabled."
I had changed my Apple ID from shasty0***49@*** to swh34@***.  Ever since then, I get this message.  I can sign onto iTunes on the website through my PC, but I cannot get to the iTunes Store via my iPhone.

  • TS2446 my apple id has been disabled. i tried to change it but they want my email, which was disabled. What do I do?

Because of fraud, my apple id has been disabled. My apple id was my e-mail address. I can't change my apple id to something new because I don't have another email address. am i missing something simple here?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
When your account becomes disabled, Apple provides the following recommendation:
"This message means that someone tried and failed to sign in to your account multiple times. The Apple ID system disables the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You need to reset your password, following the instructions at the Apple ID website".
Visit iForgot.com and follow the instructions there.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support

All within 24h. Of course without any information as to why the problem came up in teh first place. At least it was swift action.

    Thanks for choosing Apple.
Hello Hady, Thank you for contacting iTunes Store Customer Support. My name is Ricky, your iTunes Store Advisor. First, I would like to apologize for the delay in responding to your email. Your patience is greatly appreciated. I understand that your account was compromised and made some purchases on your iTunes Store account.  I know how alarming unauthorized purchases are and we value your concern to have these charges cancelled. To prevent further purchasing, I have disabled your account. We have issued a refund for the items purchased without your permission. The decision to refund these items was made after a careful review of your case. Please note that this is an exception to the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions, which state that all sales are final. You will see 48.59 USD added to your store credit balance within 48 hours. You may need to sign out of the iTunes Store and then sign back in before you see the credit in your account. If you would like to request that your iTunes Store account be enabled, you will need to contact our Account Security team. To contact an Account Security Advisor, call our AppleCare technical support team. • I have been receiving messages "your apple id has been disabled"

I have been receiving messages "your apple id has been disabled" while updating or purchasing apps on apple apps store.
Had followed the advice to reset / change apple Id password via Apple Id but problem still persists.
Had sent 2 mails within 48hrs to itune support store via "manage my account" but with no reply except an acknowledged email from itune support. BUT I replied on the acknowledgment email from itune even there is an disclaimer saying "please don't rely" on the acknowledgment email. After sending the mail, a person named "manjunath" replied as itune support centre staff, asking for verification before investigating the problem before enabling the apple id. he/she asked me to answer for some security such as billing address, last 4 digit of credit card no., last purchased apps and order no. The mail does not appeared to  be and official respond from apple itune store, very suspicious .
Has anyone encounter this kind of mail, wonder whether is authentic and could rally resolve the matter?
It seems that many apple id users have encounter the " your apple Id has been disabled" problem, many complained that there is no respond for itune support to rectify the problem.
It seems that the only way ton resolve the problem is to email to itune support and wait for them ton resolve the matter for you.
Any one Please help to enlighten me.

Yuor last statement sounds about right. Any emails from apple will include a [email protected] email address- unless you specifically are given someones contact information that may be responsible for handling your case. The questions they ask seem typical enough to verify your account but Id be careful when responding. Id chose rather to email itunes and let them specifically handle it, in their fashion, uyes slow but they do get the job done.
