Apple ID incomplete creation?
Hello,
So I guess I created this account I'm using to write this post online and so when I try to sign in on the iTuens store, a window pops up saying: "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes store. Please review your account information." so I do that until I get to the billing information. I don't want to give them my credit card and becasue of that this Apple ID is not fully created yet. Now, the reason I can't just ignore this account is because it's using my primary email address which I would now like make the email for the apple ID my devices are registered under. (I can't delete an incomplete account so I was trying to fully set it up in order to remove it afterwards) However, what kind of situation is this?! I can't proceed with the setting up of this account nor can I delete it as it is.This account yet not so much of an account is not allowing me to make use of my primary email address. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it if somebody helped me find a solution for this problem... it's my primary email address :'(

Different Apple ID (incomplete) when updating.
I am signed into the App Store with the correct Apple ID. However, when I go to update my apps, I am presented with an incomplete Apple ID that is greyed out so I cannot change it. For example, [email protected] is the Apple ID when logged into the store. The ID that is presented (greyed out) for updating is just username. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.
This happened to me also. I'm sure it was after I updated to IOS 8. After much searching I finally just deleted the app that needed updating, then reinstalled it. Installing shows the correct ID and didn't have any issues. After that, updates on the re installed app worked fine.

I had create an apple account and downloaded the itunes, while creating apple account it asked me to submit the credit card detials, can any one please tell me how to disable the bank details, so that no one can use it, or else how to protect it by enabling from password mode. please can you respond back me, so that i can save my money from other , by automatic downloading.

Motion Project Output Corruption
Greetings all,
I have created a very simple motion menu in Motion comprised of the following layers from the bottom up
Background - Contains a black generated background
Layer 1 - Actor 1
Layer2 - Actor2
Layer3 - Actor3
Layer4 - Title
The actors drop in from the top in a cascading method from left to right and finally title. etc.
All that works well and I have the timing I desire.
Problems:
a) No matter what compressor method I choose for a still image output to use as a guide for my overlay, I get a totally unusable artifacted pixelated image.
b) when I try to export as a QT movie to use in DVDSP or export to compressor to use as my motion menu etc. I get the same unusable terrible result.
c) I see everything perfectly on the Apple Monitor during creation and playback, however the same playback video image is trashed on the NTSC monitor, looks just like descriptions above.
What in the world am I missing?

An addtional question if I may, I remember reading some place about the workflow for best results in using Motion for menus. re: the quality of the output.
While I have a useable file now, the quality seems a tad low, i.e. the images are fuzzy - can you you point me to the correct thread?

Can't import users and group backup
I exported the list of user names and groups prior re-installing 10.6 server.
Now when I try to import the backup, I get the error:
"The following users could not be imported because each of their first short names contains an invalid character (such as a period.)"
followed by the list of my users.
According to Apple's user creation documentation, the following characters are allowed:
"For the first short user name, use only these characters. Subsequent short names can contain any Roman character.
* a through z
* A through Z
* 0 through 9
* _ (underscore)
* - (hyphen)
. (period)"
Is that a bug? is there a way around it ?

Okay so first of all, let me begin by saying I did search and search, so be nice.
I want to build a custom case for a maci mini cluster......I have experience in building my own pcs and have been a mac owner now for over 2 years. I have read about mac minis being clustered for server use but my question is, what advantage would there be if you clustered 2 or more for home use? Would I be better off getting a used G4 imac and throwing that in my case instead? I would like to start doing some more movie editing which I now do on my powerbook. The problem with the pb is that it can take hours just to some simple rendering and so if I could resolve this issue by clustering the minis, I would definately do that.
Its not that I want necessarily save money by using the minis, its really the only thing I think that would be a reasonable size to fit inside my case (I can fit up to 4 inside it).
Also, does someone out there know of any projects out there for personal use? What are some good resource sites I can look at? If anyone can give me any advice, I would appreciate it.

Very little if any. Clustering first only works with applications specifically designed for it. Those are mostly scientific apps, plus a few graphic-oriented applications. The only ones in the consumer/prosumer realm I'm aware of are Compressor (which is part of the Final Cut/DVD Studio Pro suite) for the video/audio compression and Logic Pro, Apple's music creation/editing package. None of the iLife applications support clustering at all at present.
I'd suggest just getting a faster Mac. An iMac G5 would be a lot faster than your PowerBook, as would an iMac Dual Core with Intel-native apps (I'd go for the iMac over the Mac mini due to the iMac's significantly better graphics processor). -
Multiple users of Mail on the Mac session
Before switching from PowerMail to Mail, I'd like to know if there's a way with Mail to store my emails in a separate folder from those of my wife so that I could access only my emails when I open Mail and my wife could only access hers. For example, can I create two Mail folders in the ~/Library (or somewhere else) and put an alias in the Dock to force Mail to open my wife's or mine without having to create different user profiles and switch between Mac sessions? Thanks!
Thanks. I guess I'll have to pay for the upgrade and stick with PowerMail until Apple makes the creation of separate profiles part of Mail, which I don't expect to see in the near future. Too bad. But I really want to avoid creating different user accounts on my Mac. Does anyone know of a client that offers the possibility for multiple email profiles that would also happen to be freeware?

Creation of a new Keychain Entry (Internet password) for Apple Mail
I am working on a Mail Assistant to set up a new Mail Account for Apple Mail.
My problem concerns the creation of the Keychain Entry for the POP Account with which Apple Mail is set up (by my custom Mail Assistant).
I am able to create a Keychain Entry with all relevant User Data, the Keychain Entry also appears to be valid (I ran the Keychain First Aid Tool to check it), but when I start the Apple Mail App, it does not recognise the created Keychain entry, but is asking me to enter the Password for the POP Account which I set up successfully.
Any help is appreciated for giving me a hint of how Apple Mail recognises or links respectively to its adherent Keychain Entry.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Window Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

I have a requirement of not to create an Inbound delivery if the filed in the "means of trans id " in the delivery header is 'BLANK".If i create an incomplete log for the field LIKP-TRAID (Warning message enabled) for Delivery header in transcation OVA2 .Now if i create an inbound delivery with "means of trans id " BLANK .It is giving only warning message it is not stopping me from creating an Inbound delivery .
