Apple ID incorrect after iPad was reset

Hi, Apple Team. I am currently having problem with my iPad with Retina device. For some reason, after I have reset my iPad due to "iPad disabled Connect to iTunes" error message, my device is asking for an Apple ID which I am not familiar with. I am very much positive that I never used any other Apple ID on this device since I got it last 2012 which was brand new when I purchased it. And I am the only person who uses the device since I only live by myself. I've tried resetting the password but to no avail I still got the same result. The Apple ID that the device was asking was somewhat like 7*****@qq.com. I don't even know that kind of email provider exists. I do not know if this is some kind of a known issue or what. I tried going to the service center but they told me to rather contact you guys. I really hope for an urgent response, all my books were in it.
Cheers,
Hamer

Yeah. That's what I thought as well when I saw what happened. I've been using other Apple devices since before and this was actually the first time I had this kind of problem. Unfortunately, I no longer have any documents that would support my purchase because I just moved to a different place and there's a great chance that the receipt had been lost in the process. Anyhow, thanks for the response. This might sound persistent but I might want to call customer service when I get the time and see if there are any questions/verification that they could ask me to help resolve my concern. After all, I paid for it and I was just able to use it less than 2 years. *sigh

the Apple id on my iPad was signed out. we don't remeber the password. I was going to create a new Id for it but the sign in box won't go away. Even if you hit cancel it immediately pops back up. You can't do anything in the iPad because the box won't go away.

If you can't remember its password then you should be able to get it reset (either via email or by answering its security questions) via http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't get it reset via that page then contact Support in your country, after confirming your id and that it's your account they should be able to reset it : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

  • [iPad Strange Error] The iPad " iPad's name " could not be synced because the connection to the iPad was reset

    Hello everyone,
I've recently got a strange error on my iPad (or iTunes): I plug my iPad into my PC (it runs Windows 8 with the latest iTunes version up to now) and start iTunes to sync music to iPad. But it stops at step 2 (after backing up) and shows a message: "The iPad "<iPad's name>" could not be synced because the connection to the iPad was reset" (like the picture I attach).
Please help me to resolve this problem. It's important to me, please!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Gentlemen,
I too have the same problem, and I see that nobody has found a working fix yet. How dissapointing. I would have thought that Apple would have tried to fix this by now. Who knows how many others are in the same boat?
I am unable to sync my iPad at all. This means that I can't make a backup and so can't clean and restore it. I can't add any music. I can't get my photos off the iPad either. And so on! My brand new iPad is incapable of doing anything usefull! Don't fret Apple, I WILL tell all my friends what my opinion of your devices are.
In my opinion this is a CRITICAL FAILURE FROM APPLE!
I believe that it's undeniable that this is a stupid uniformative error message that leads me nowhere.  Of course the connection went away. BUT WHY? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM IF YOUR ERROR MESSAGE  DOESN'T GIVE ME ANY USEFULL INFORMATION????
AND WHY CAN'T I CAUSE IT TO SKIP OVER THE BACKUP STEP SO AT LEAST THE DEVICE HAS SOME FUNCTIONALITY?
There are no published fixes that work.  The only thing close, was a recommendation to reset the iPad and try again. This didn't do anything but waste more of my time.
Hopefully, my Rant will cause someone to take a stab at coming up with a resolution. I JUST NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET MY IPAD WORKING AGAIN.
Is that too much to ask?
    Regards,
    Steve

  • Apple ID invalid after update and reset

Background: Update indicated on phone, so my son did the update. Then, once updated, it wouldn't work properly. He said it told him to reset the phone (or it might have been YouTube that told him. He's 14, so who knows?). Anyway, he reset the phone, and it wouldn't accept his Apple ID. It's been the same since the day I gave it to him. Apple support said to restore again, so I did. Still showing a shorter ID than he has. To top it off, the phone has disappeared from his cloud, but his iPod is still there. He can sign in on the computer with his ID, but not his phone. Any ideas on a fix? I'm confused.

  • Can I change the Apple ID on my iPad without reseting it?

I have a new iPad and would like to give my old one to my wife to use.  Could she just take my old one over with her Apple ID without a reset?

She can, you can log out of your account on it by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores if it's on iOS 6) and she can then log in with her account. Any content on the iPad that was bought/downloaded from your account on it will remain tied to your account, so only your account will be able to download updates to those apps, but as long as your account is also authorised on the computer's iTunes that she will by syncing to she should be able to continue using them.
If she will be syncing the iPad to a different computer then this page may be helpful for moving the iPad over to it : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

  • Lost my email on my iPad after iPad was restored???

Yesterday, an Apple tech. helped me restore my Apple iPad.  It had stopped working.  We went through iTunes and restored it.  It seems fine other than I do not have Email any longer.  I don't know what to do to get it back.  The settings look ok but I don't really know the difference.  Can anyone help me figure out how I can get my email to work again on my iPad??????  Thank you.

If your information is in settings, but emailis not syncing, try this.
    in iPad settings:
    General
    Reset
Reset all settings        (careful to select only this!)
             (data is not effected)

  • ITunes won't sync after computer was reset

I had a problem with my iMac and had to take it back to factory settings, and reinstall Leopard. My preferences did not carry over, so I had to drag numerous folders and files from the Previous System folder into the new system folders. Just about everything is working fine, except I cannot sync my iPhone or my iPod. When I plug them in, I get the message "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone (or iPod). Go to the summary tab in iPhone (or iPod) Preferences and click Restore to restore to factory settings.
I am very reluctant to wipe everything off my iPhone and iPod. Some of the information on there is not stored on the computer. I am sure there must be something in the Previous System folder that needs to be moved to current folders in order for these devices to be able to sync. Any ideas?

Thanks! OK, I found that folder, but have questions pertaining to it.
    Where do I drag it?
There are two files in there, both without "names", other than lots of letters and numbers. When I move them, can they be read, or are there psl lists (or whatever they are called) that need to be moved, also.
Does this mobile sync file pertain only to the iPhone? If so, is there a similar folder I need to find in Previous System Folder for the iPod?
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your help.

  • Icloud is synched to the wrong apple ID and the password was unknown to me, after answering the security questions I was able to reset it. Now when I try to login on my ipad to delete the icloud associated to that apple ID it keeps telling me its wrong?

I bought a new Ipad and backup all my info form ym old one to my itunes. I set it up but now for soem reason by icloud on my new ipad is set up an old apple ID account I have never used. After answering security questions I was able to reset my password but when i try to use it on my new ipad to delete hte icloud it keeps telling me its wrong.
Any way I can go around it or is there another process I need to do before the ipad starts recognizing hte new password I set for the old apple Id account?

It sounds like the new iPad, had a previous owner.    If you don't recognize the email for the Apple ID on your iPad, then it was registered to another person.
If it was, you can't use it and should return it.

After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.
    Good luck

My iPad was logging me out so I have reset it - it retained all apps but I cannot now log into iCloud and when downloading apps it defaults to the wrong email details so the iPad doesn't recognise it to update - can anyone suggest how to resolve this

Have you attempted to access your Apple ID through iforgot.apple.com ?
If you have access to the internet, you should be able to go through the process of resetting your Apple ID password via security questions or email.
Assuming that you use the same Apple ID for iCloud and the iTunes/App Stores, resetting your password may help you log back into iCloud and the iTunes/App Stores.
