Apple ID not working in iTunes Store

I have created my Apple ID and have a credit card on the account. From the help pages at Apple.com the Apple ID login is support to be linked to iTunes Store as well. In iTunes, I go to the store and try to login and it says that my ID is not recognized.
Any ideas? Thanks

Reboot you Mac - repair permissions with Disk Utility - launch iTunes and see if you can log in.

When is it asking for it ?
If you are updating from iOS 7+ to 7.0.4 then did you have Find My iPod enabled on it ? If you did then it might be asking for the password for your account when you set that 'on'.

I do not have this problem with iPad ID is stored and can be used in App Store and iTunes. I have just upgraded to 5c and it's still a problem.

When fist setting up your new iphone you will be asked to log in with an apple id and password. If this did not happen you can then do as you suggested going to settings to itunes and app store and add your apple id login. This apple id login must have already been created for the iphone to accept it. If this apple id is already created but is not being accepted by your iphone you then should shut down your iphone and restart the device.

For the CC type, select None and verify your name and address.

Fixed. Tried a lot different things but the ones that seems to have worked is going in Preferences>Advanced and hitting the Reset cache button. Though I'm not sure it is necessary it never hurts to do a restart.

Apple id not working in app store, works fine here and in itunes

on my imac running 10.6.8 I can get into itunes, but not into app store. When I go to PURCHASES, or UPDATES i get prompted to log in (I have masked my ID in the screen grab) My ID works fine here, this is the ID I registered my iMac with.
Oddly, when I select apps I'm currently running, they show as installed.
I have no interest in upgrading my OS to newer version(s)
Am I hosed?

Video does not Work in iTunes Store please help! annoying problem!

The video does not work in the itunes store. I get no picture, only sound when i want to preview a music video or a movie trailer. No video at all. However, i can watch my movies and music videos that i already own. Please, is there any smart guy who knows a solution?

I'm having this same issue. I tried some things but still couldn't get it to work the way it used too.
It will not play the video portion in iTunes only the audio if I click on the song. If I switch the settings from Music Video to TV show in the info tab, the file plays fine. If I open it in Quicktime, the file plays fine.
I've tried changing the preferences so that the video will play in the iTunes window, in a separate window, etc. and all it plays is the audio and will show the artwork instead of playing the video.

Anyone having an issue with the SD TV show option not working in iTunes Store?

SD TV shows are not available to purchase, I can only get the HD shows. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm having the same problem and am quite frustrated. I have quite a few season passes for different TV shows, but they are all for the SD versions (cheaper, smaller, and quicker to download). I can get to the TV show's download page, but only the HD version shows up. I can see the button for the SD version but when I click on it nothing really happens, or the only thing that happens is that the "HD" symbol after the name of the TV show at the top of the page disappears. But even though the "HD" symbol next to the TV name is gone, the episodes are all still only available to download as HD versions. The problem isn’t just that it’s only the HD versions that are available but I already paid for the SD season passes. And I'm not going to pay more money to download the HD version, I don't want, just because the iTunes store has a glitch.
So I really hope that Apple fixes this soon.

Back swipe and back button not working in iTunes store

I am running a 3 year old Mac mini with a Mac bluetooth mouse. I have OS 10.10.2 installed. With the latest version of iTunes 12.1.0.50 I stated having the following problem. I go into iTunes store and see the catalogue page for either movies or songs, I click on either a song or movie that I'm interested in and I get the detail page for that entry. I then either single finger back swipe on the mouse or use the back button and I return to the catalogue page, but it is blank. I have to click on the "iTunes store" button in order to get the catalogue page refreshed. I also don't seem to be able to back swipe in iPhoto to move from one picture to another, but I can swipe in Aperture. I should also note that I'm running Windows 8 under Parallels 10.1.3
How do I fix this?

Hey, when i try to play a video on itunes store or view any trailer of a movie, it does not play it, it just stucks. I runned it on 32-bit mode but it did not help. Please someone help me get out of this situation!

Apple tv not working with itunes match

I bought Apple Tv last week and also bought the Itunes match , but whenever i open music on my apple tv , it says

i have already turned on itunes match on my Apple Tv and computer . Still its not working .

I had a similar issue. As of September 29, 2014. After setting up iTunes Match on my Mac through iTunes, iTunes Match was not working on Apple TV. The weird thing was that it worked on my iPhone 5 and Late 2013 iMac. Strangely Apple TV was the newest device. I and the newest OSs available for all my devices (iMac, iPhone and Apple TV - either OS X 10.9.5 and/or iOS 8.0.2).
I called Apple Support and spoke with someone who had me log out of and back into my Apple account through Apple TV. I was then prompted to activate iTunes Match on Apple TV (3rd Generation).
That fixed the problem for me.
Be advised that you need to remember your Apple TV password in order to sign back in. Apple TV does not cache Apple ID passwords.
I suggested to the Rep that they need to make the process much simpler via a way to Refresh iTunes or, at least, add Keychain to Apple TV so that I did not have to go through this again. I suggest other users make the same requests through Apple Feedback for Apple TV.

Apple ID not working with iTunes

Hi,
After I updated to the most recent update (7.04) the iTunes Store won't let me update apps. When I press update all or just one of the apps it asks me for my password for my id. I put it in but iTunes doesn't seem to recognize it, like before the update. I'd like to update my apps because they seem to crash easily since the update. Does anyone have any ideas? Would it be a good to get help from Apple?

First thing to try is a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.
