Apple ID/password does not match ITunes Apple ID/password

I just received an Apple Touch IPOD and can purchase downloads from my computer using my Apple ID/Password that I created; BUT am not able to download anything from the actual touch IPOD (keep getting message stating my ITunes password was incorrect)Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

I know this is an old post, but having had the exact same issue and failing to find anything of value out there, I figured I would share what I did to fix this.
On your iPhone, go to "Settings" and scroll down to the "Stores" app. Select it. Once in, the Apple ID that is shown to you will be the one that shows when you try to download new apps or update old ones. Assuming you are here because you changed your iTunes ID and the change is not reflected on your iPhone, you simply need to then "Sign Out", and sign back in again using your new ID.
Back in the AppStore in your iPhone, the new ID should now show, and all you need to do is validate your password to get going.

    After two months of no issues, I have found at least 50 songs on my iPod where the artwork does not match iTunes. What's more, the incorrect artwork is the same on all the songs affected. I have reset, deleted that offending artwork, and tried manually inputting the correct artwork, but the incorrect artwork remains. Any suggestions?

    unfortunately this is a annoying bug in itunes, and the only way to override this is to do this:
    make sure you have all the songs you want to upload to the ipod in you library then delete all the songs from the ipod, turn on manual update click enable artwork to turn it off, click ok and let itunes delete the artwork on your ipod.
    after it has done this go back to ipod options and enable auto update and enable artwork, and press ok, just let itunes update all your songs again, when it has finished eject ipod and check songs, all the songs you put artwork for should have it now, and the bad thing about this is you will have to do this every time you update the ipod, i am angry about this myself and wish itunes would sort this annoying bug out.

    I'm try to set up a new Epson printer SX 445 to my router/network but each time I run the set up wizard it fails to complete saying Security Key/Password Check fail.

    I know that the password is correct and have rechecked this by changing it a few times
    and I still get the same result.
    My network internet service provider is not interested and says to call Epson.
    Anybody have any clues how I can resolve this?

    I personally suggest the new Drobo FS. Since it has an iTunes server built in and you can use any size sata hard drive in it it is better and a NAS that has to use the same size drives.

    Artwork on my iPad does not match iTunes and is not correct for Movies, TV Shows and some songs & Albums. Is this issue resolved? If so what was or is the fix. I have not been successful in locating that.  I found posts stretching back into late 2010.

    most of these items were downloaded from eihter iTunes or in the case of movies, imported into the app and then loading them to TV Series or Movies as appropriate. They were all fine until about two days ago when I did a sync. Then the artwork went haywire. I tried manualy removing and replacing the artwork in iTunes with the correct jpg's. and then re-sync. iTunes shows everything OK, but the iPad is the one with it all messed up.

    Some of the following steps don't fully apply to your situation, but I'd run through the ones I haven't crossed off to see if that resolves the issue:
    If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
    If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
    If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
    If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
    If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
    Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
    If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
    If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
    Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
    If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
    If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

  • TS4036 My icloud id does not match my Apple id

    I am unable to do any backups or perform most actions on my iPad because my Apple ID and my iPad ID do not match!  I need to change my iPad to match the Apple ID, but do not find directions to do so.  Please help!

    For me this is on an iPhone 4S with iOS 7.0.2.  I went to the final confirm before delete and never found a "Keep on My iPhone" prompt.  It simply says all your iCloud stuff will be deleted from this phone.  So I didn't do that.
    I am changing ID's because I no longer have access to the email account that was the old ID.  So I will definitely not be siging back into the same account.  I don't really understand that explanation anyway.  If I'm deleting the account how can I sign back into it; seems like all the account data would be gone anyway.
    Help!
    Maybe I'm starting to get it.  It's only the stuff in the Cloud that will be deleted and I'll still get an opportunity to keep everything else on the phone via a prompt after this point?

  • Iphone does not accept itunes id or password

    Hi,
    Finally I managed to intall the itunes after some help from my local ISP.
    I have setup my itunes account from my laptop and sync to my iphone.
    Was unable to download the Apple free bumper case Apps from iphone as it says my itunes/Apple ID or pwd is entered incorrectly. Later managed to download the Apps from my laptop using the same login details & able to sync to my iphone.
    However, now I still cannot install the Apps on my iphone as my ID and pwd is rejected again.
    Can anyone advise why my login details are recognised on laptop but not iphone?

    Have you had any error notifications about time or date.
    Are you properly conected to the network and don't have a 169.x.x.x address

    I have an apple tv2 that seems to work ok but the led on the front does not work.. is this normal? is the led burnt out?
    is there a way to get it back working??
    i have restored in via the tv menu and i have restored it via usb cable to itunes..
    still no luck..
    is there some option that is causing it to not work?
    will it work ok with the led not working?

    Try:
    - Resetting the iPod:
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
    button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Resetting network settings: Setting>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

    I have synced and re-synced my new iphone.  When connected to itunes, itunes claims there are 3829 songs on the phone.  I look at the phone and there are only 529.  What gives.   And how in all that is holy do I resolve this?

    You just have to go thru the steps and do the math. How many videos does it report on the ipod, and how many videos do you have listed in iTUnes?
    goto edit>preferences>ipod tab and go thru each sub tab to see how you have the ipod set to update Music,video,podcast
    THeres a trick you can do in creating a "Unchecked" smart playlist for unchecked songs in iTUnes.
    creat one smart playlist and match the following rule
    Artist does not contain 123456
    UNCHECK limit to
    Check BOTH Live updating and Match only checked songs and name this smart playlist "Checked"
    Create another smart playlist and match the following rule
    Playlist is not checked
    UNCHECK match only checked songs and limit to
    CHECK Live updating

  • Iphone available space does not match itunes available space

    On my iphone it shows I have 5.8 GB, but when I connect to itunes and sync, itunes shows 6.8 GB. Why would I have a delta?

    If you have deleted files from your Mac in the past.....these files will usually stay on the Time Capsule for some period of time.  Could be months or many months.
    But, at some unknown point in time....Time Machine will delete those files from the backups to clear space. When it does that, you would think that the sparsebundle would then show more available space on the drive....but it does not do that.
    Sparsebundle files are curious items......they "grow" as files are added, but they do not appear to shrink when files are deleted.
    For example....The sparsebundle file might have grown to 100 GB.  But Time Machine deleted 5 GB. The sparsebundle file will continue to show as 100 GB until the space that was gained when the files were deleted fills back up to 100 GB. At that point, the sparsebundle file will start to "grow" again.
    This is very likely what is happening on your Time Capsule at this time. 
    If you have been checking your backups by going into Time Machine and everything appears to be normal, then I would not be concerned.
    It is possible to "shrink" the sparsebundle file and have it display the actual space that is being used.  But, you have to use Terminal commands to do this.
    We can give you the commands to "compact" the sparsebundle if you want them....but unless you are an experienced Mac programmer, I would stay away. The Terminal is a very scary place.

    No I gave you a link to try to get a new password to work with the old Apple ID.
    And are you saying that I will not be able to access any updates for apps that were acquired under the original Apple ID and password?
    I am saying that the only way to update apps acquired with the old Apple ID is with the old Apple ID. You cannot update them with a new Apple ID.

    When attempting to authorize Digital Editions on a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Andoid tab. I keep getting this error. I have reset my Adobe passowrd and double checked the information in my ID profile and I continue to get this message. How do I move past this point so I may read EPubs ?

    Try loading the Bluefire app and authorizing that.
    Also, try installing ADE on a computer and authorizing that.
    It won't solve the problem, but might help narrow down where the issue lies.

    Well Apple just doesn't create Apple ID on their own. You very likely created a new Apple ID rather than changing your email address in the old one.
    You can change the email address associted with the old Apple ID by logging in to My Apple ID. Be aware though that you may have trouble using the email address of your NEW Apple ID since one of the prerequisites is that the email address can not already be in use.
    This is important because apps and other content (including free content) are forever tied to the Apple ID used to make the purchase.
