Apple id/password not recognised on new iphone

My dad has been trying to set up his first iphone and it asks for his Apple id and password but each time he enters it it says its incorrect.
We've been onto itunes on his computer and the password and id are accepted but it then asks him to complete some new security information (address, phone numbers etc). We do this and nothing happens. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

An application 'Find my iphone' was downloaded and installed. To access the app for the 1st time my phone calls for Apple ID and password. Error message: This input is not recognised. Apple sign on and id etc for itunes etc etc works fine.

You can't sign into iCloud using your Apple ID on a PC, you have to sign in with an existing iCloud ID. You have to first create your iCloud account on an iOS device or Mac. Then you can sign in with the ID on your PC.

Apple ID password not recognised

Cannot download apps or update iPhone 5 as constantly says applied password invalid. Can sign onto Apple with this password on laptop but not on phone. Why is this? It's driving me insane!!! Have tried resetting password multiple times but still the phone does not recognise the password. Any ideas?

I've updated an iPhone 4 to iOS 7.1.2 and cannot successfully use the App Store App to download even a free app. Because the phone is out of warranty, Apple support will not help.
I click on the App Store Icon, I search for a free app, hit the "Get" button, it thinks for a few seconds, and then asks me for my AppleID password.
I supply that (and I know its correct, because if I enter a honky one, that is immediately diagnosed), it thinks for a few seconds, then returns me to the screen with the "Get" button again. Hitting the button just restarts the password inquiry over again with the same result. No error indication occurs at all.
I don't see how it could be a problem with my internet connection(s). I've tried it with or without wireless router, used Cell data only, taken the phone to a different wireless network, etc... Could App Store app even ask for my password if there was a problem with my connection?
I've tried reanswering my AppleID security questions, updating my credit card information, and changing my password. No help. It doesn't appear to be an AppleID issue. I've searched the internet, Apple's support forums, carried out Apple's tedious procedures for checking the connections, read the docs, etc...
Has anyone seen anything like this? Any suggestions?

An Apple ID is a user name you can use for everything you do with Apple. Shop the iTunes Store, log in to iChat or iCloud, buy from the Apple Online Store, make a reservation at an Apple Retail Store, access Apple.com support, and more.
So why doesn't my Apple id work to update, download ect on my iPhone 4s? I know I have to read some more but really. The above statement From Apple Is contrdictory. (I will get around to more reading soon. I promise. But too late at night now and I should have been sleeping long ago).

Hi I just noticed your using a MacBook, are you using the same Apple ID as that one for for iPhone 4S?
Try this, go to Apple and make a new Apple ID, password, then sign in to it using the iPhone via ITunes. Write down the new Apple ID and use it only for the iPhone, so yo udo not get confused and use MacBook ID instead.

What kind of computer do you have? Windows 8? Mac? Doesn't your iPhone recognize a charger? Are you able to use wifi or Bluetooth capabilities? I have all of the problems I just asked about because of the new 7.1.1 update.

Password not recognised after upgrading iphone to IOS7

I just upgraded my iPhone to IOS 7. However, when I enter my password to unlock the phone, the phone does not recognise it. Please help as all the online help assumes that I can receive information on my phone, which obviously I can not.

I have been into setting>store and signed out and signed back in and it still asks for old ID and password.

Everything you've had up to now has been tied to your old Apple ID. You cannot switch it over to a new Apple ID. You should contact iTunes support to help you with this:

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

Netflix is also don't let me play any movies.
I already reset the equipment, network is ok because some features of of apple tv are working fine such as renting from Itunes, Radio, Podcasts.

I'm using the latest itunes and a brand new 1080p Apple TV over a Linksys E4200 V2 network and having same issues. Just replaced my old apple TV with this new one yesterday.
I got it to work for a little while yesterday by uninstalling Itunes the reinstalling but how many times do you have to do that?
I can send pictures and video to Apple TV from my IPhone etc but not a chance with home sharing. Apple TV says turn home sharing on which it is.
Already done a reset to Apple TV and still not working?

IPad ok
Mobileme ok
TV NOT ok ( apple id or password not recognised)
Have tried both @mac.com and @me.com - no joy..
Ant ideas?

Apple store doesn't recognise my new email and password

I purchased a new iPad mini and cannot download the apps that I purchased/downloaded in the past, also due to lack of space in the original email that I used to set up my apple account I had to change to a new address and password, however when I want to do anything in the apple store it does not recognise the new info, therefore I am unable to do anything ! Please help

your best chance is to try typing the password again and the email again. it really all depends on if you have an icould account or what your supporter is for your email.

If you are having issues setting up your new Apple TV with your Apple ID, you may want to double check that the info is current and correct by logging into "Manage my Apple ID" as outlined on this page:
