Apple id password
Hi Guys
I am in need of help. The problem is with my ipad and in particular my apple id password. The account I used when I originally bought the ipad hasnt been used in years and I cant get access to get a reminder of my password. I did change my user name and password recently when I bought another apple product and that works fine but it is the ipad where it keeps asking for password from mu old account. Ive tried all the passwords possible but it keeps telling me password incorrect. HELP
What do you mean when you say you "changed" your Apple user name and password recently? Sounds like what you did was create a new Apple id rather than change the password for your existing Apple id. So now you have two Apple ids, which is a pain in the you know where... As Philly_Phan has noted, once you create multiple Apple ids you cannot then merge them or delete them, you are forever stuck with multiple accounts and any purchases you make with one Apple id cannot be used with the other and vice versa. Not recommended.
Pick one Apple id and use that for everything, for every iOS device you buy now and into the future, and for every app/music/video/iBooks purchase you make, forever. Pick a _really_ secure and unguessable password for the account (enabling two step verification for the account is also highly recommended) and use a permanent email address that will never change for the id (an Apple .iCloud/.me email address is probably best). Although it is possible to change your Apple id later (as long as it's not an .Cloud/.me email address) it is a rather painful/tricky process that causes many people problems, so it's much better to avoid ever having to do it by using an email address that will not change.
Finally, of you ever sell or give away your iOS device remember to logout of _all_ your accounts (iTunes, iCloud, etc.) on the device, and turn off find my iPhone/iPad for it too, _before_ you hand it over to the new owner! The easiest way to do this is to simply erase the device via Settings/General/Reset/Erase All Content and Settings, that will remove all logins, purchased apps and other purchased content from the device and will switch off Find My iPhone/iPad for it too. It will return it to factory default settings with just the default apps installed, then the new owner can set it up from scratch as a new device using their Apple id.
To regain access to your original Apple id read the following article and follow the instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787

When I attempt to send a text from the new iPad, a dialog box appears with the option to either sign in with Apple ID Password or Create New Account. I try signing in using my Apple ID password but IMessage informs me that email address cannot be verified because it is already in use ??? What am I doing wrong?
settings -> iTunes & App Store
click on apple ID listed there
select Sign Out
sign in with the proper account
from then on, when the store ask for your password it should be with the correct ID -
everything works on phone and wow it's big compared to my iPhone 5s. went with space grey since i have had 3 white phones in a row. restored via iCloud backup. updated iTunes as i have about 3,000 songs. 250 bought the rest ripped to AAC from my cc's....what a pain but switched from my windows desktop to this new rMBP late 2013 for xmas and iTunes is slightly different on a mac than windows and where everything is stored on drive.
anyhow problem is every time i reboot after putting in my password and arriving at whatever page i left at i get a very small window asking for my Apple id password. Now the top half is pre filled in with the email address i use for iCloud/itunes/apple/etc.
i did see in settings there is a checkmark i cannot remove that says for apple password "ask immediately" there are no other choices. it can't be unchecked by any method i found.
any help appreciated. In case anyone else gets this I hit cancel once and it has never come back.

Apple ID password won't work but I am entering correctly
my iphone 5 told me my password was incorrect and so I completed a reset apple id password using the web.
When I enter the new password into my phone settings, it is rejected. It is not a case sensitive issue because I entered the password just as I have done here, and yet I was able to log into this support site with it, but can't retrieve my email by phone? This problem is also duplicated on my ipad2.iOS: Troubleshooting FaceTime and iMessage activation

When trying to update Aps, my iPhone repeatedly rejects my apple ID password. I reset it, and it still rejects it. I've reset it on my computer, phone still rejects it . . . tired of this.
Are you positive you're using the exact Apple ID to update these apps that was used to originally ontain them? You can verify such by right-clicking one the apps, in your iTunes library, & selecting "Get Info". This will show you the Apple ID used to originally obtain the app...does it match on your phone?

I reset my apple ID password here on the website, but my computer isn't recognizing my new password. what should I do? I just need to update my adobe flash player but it keeps asking me for my password but won't take my new password I just updated."If you've forgotten the Apple ID password how did you log in to make the last post?"
Exactly! The password I used to log on here and write my post I figured was the same Apple ID password I would use to reset my computer login password. But my computer isn't recognizing it as the correct password so it wont let me update my login password. I have 2 user accounts on my computer.
As far as the link you provided, I already looked to that for help earlier. It states:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Users & Groups, click the lock to unlock it, then provide an administrator name and password. Select a user, then click Reset Password.
I did these steps, but I don't remember my admin password. The question is: How do I reset my admin password so I can reset my log in password.
Is my admin password the same password I use to log onto this website to post questions? If so, like I said previously, I already reset that password and my computer isnt recognizing it. -
I have an download that hasnt downloaded and my phone keeps asking me to put my apple id password in how do it get rid of this?

You should remove his AppleID and restore it as new. -
I can't change my apple id password because my security answers don't match. It won't give me any other options and just keeps asking for the answers. What do I do?
Contact the Apple ID Security site from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 or call the AppleCare support number from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and ask to speak with the Account security Team.

I cannot use my Ipad because Im getting a pop up asking for my Apple ID password but when I enter it the pop up just keeps coming back and doesn't go away. It pops up every second it doesn't let me do anything on my Ipad not even turn on WiFi! The account and pasword are correct in fact I can use them fine on my Iphone. I have tried restarting my Ipad and turning it of, it doesn't work! What is happening and what can I do to fix it?
Same problem for me.
1. Cannot connect to wifi as icloud password pop up keeps appearing.
2. tried deleting account. UNable to do so.
3. tried resetting password by logging into apple id through desktop as mentioned in one of the responses in another thread. Unfortunately the apple id to be reset is the same as being prompted by icloud and hence unable to reset the same.
Feel like breaking the **** ipad into bits. Stupid of apple to let such a bug in and not offer support !! -
I changed my email address, now I constantly get a pop-up asking me for my Apple ID Password, showing my old email address. I am able to access everything but it is annoying.
Try:
Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now sign back in with your new ID. -
I purchased an ipad from someone and i set up my apple id for it but when i go to the app Store to update apps, i click on the update button for an app, the previous owners' apple Id username appears and it won't take my apple id password. How do I replace their username w/ mine? It doesn't give me an option... Help! Please!

The iTunes Store on my iPad is set up with all my music already. And at the very bottom it shows my apple Id username. The only place it shows the previous owners id is in the App Store...
You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....
but I would be more inclined to to the factory reset and start afresh. -
I changed my Apple ID password and successfully validated it. Problem is the iPad App Store won't recognise me anymore. if I select an App to update it asks me to enter password, then says "You have not verified your Application ID.Tap OK to view the instructions on how to verify your ID.".
A new pop up box then appears saying an email has been sent to my address. The box to resend this is greyed out and the bottom line says "your email has already been validated successfully. thank you."
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem and force the iPad to let me update or download Apps again?Same issues here. I try and log into face time and cloud, it tells me my email is not veryfied. I go back through the link sent in the verification email and, low and behold, it tells me my address has already been veryfied.
Getting really annoyed now. I have tried using a different email to log in with, but not even getting the verify email in my inbox, even after it states it has sent one.
CMON APPLE!!! Please resolve this glitch. -
I'm continually getting a pop-up message on my iPhone asking me to enter my Apple ID password for a email address I no longer use. How do I make it stop?
If you are signed into your current iCloud ID you shouldn't be prompted for the old ID unless there is another service still signed into it. Check the ID in iMessage (Settings>Messages>Send & Receive), FaceTime (Settings>FaceTime), Game Center (Settings>Game Center), the iTunes store (Settings>iTunes & App Store), etc. to make sure you aren't still signed in with the old ID. If you are, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.

RADIUS authentication for IDS admin
