hey guys. newbie here.
i forgot the answer to my secret question. what makes it worse is that the email address assigned as the rescue address, (which the reset link of the secret question is being sent to), that I also have forgot what the email is.
the email is there, but when i logged in the email, i didn't receive any email from apple regarding the reset link of the secret question.
how do i reset back my secret question?
i need help since this is my first time purchasing a paid app.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I'm trying to reset my Apple ID secret questions, everytime I click on reset by email, it prompts me an email has been sent to ur email "*****@hotmail.con" but I never receive anything definitely cause the extension is giving ".con" and not ".com"
Does anyone has a solution for the issue or faced it before, or how do I contact apple to point that there has been a programming error on the website preventing me from being able to reset my secret questions that I don't remember !!!

Resetting my Apple ID secret questions?

hello everyone,
when i sign into my apple id and i want to change my details it asks me to answer some secret questions.
the only problem is - i don't know what the answers are!!!
And then to make it worse, if i don't know the answers it says it will email me the answers - but it lists an old email address that i no longer have access to!!
So i am really stuck!
i guess i want to know how do i change that email that the answers get sent to? how do i go ahead??

How to reset apple account secret question's answers?

Dear Friends,
I have creaeted an apple account in 2011 during the release of iphone 4S and even answered those secret questions as well.
Now to purchase apps from itunes to load in my 5S, it asks for answer's of all questions and quite natural... all went wrong.
Please help me to find a way out to overcome this issue by resetting the password.
Unfortunately, I have put any recovery email id also.
SOS...........Help me....................!!!

If you can't remember the answers to the security questions, then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox).

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

Did you have a rescue email address on your account ? If you did then have you checked the inbox and spam folders on that for the reset email ?
If not then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the password reset.

You can't create another account with the same email address, and all purchases are tied to the account that downloaded them - so creating a new account won't give you access to a previous account's purchases.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your security questions. I found an article with some useful information if you cannot remember the answers to your security questions:
What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time. During that time you will not be able to reset your password and will not have access to your account.

That doesn't help me. For itunes it brings me to the express lane which doesn't help because my case is not in it. It's all standard procedure things. I understand those but my situation is different. The combination of a passport forgotten and an non-existing email adress (and birth dates that are not correct or not accepted). What I need is my password emailed to another email adress than the original one because that no longer exists.

Try changing your Apple ID password at iforgot.apple.com first.
Also:
How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'. This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
