my husband and i each have an i phone, each with our own apple Id, but my apple id is showing up on his phone.how does this happen and how do i fix it

One of two things are happening. Either you are signed in with a different Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App stores, or you have got content that was purchased with another Apple ID and that is what it is trying to update. Content is locked to the Apple ID used to make the purchase.

I have a service through AT&T and recently added my wife and son to my plan (family account). I have an apple id and sync'd their phones through my account. I want my wife to be able and access icloud and am having a difficult time making that happen. I have my own icloud account and love it. She wants to have her own so that she can better organize herself.

Number not showing up on another phone when I text

Whenever I text my daughter's phone(LG Voyager) from my phone(IPhone 4s), my numbeer doesn't show up. It just sends the text like it's coming from a computer or something. We both have verizon phones and she on my plan. What can I do?

I know how important it is to stay in touch with your children. Let's get to the bottom of this. Are you sending any special characters when you text your daughter? Also, how is your number saved on your daughter's phone? I would suggest to delete and readd your contact on your daughter's phone. Let us know how this works out for you.

If you registered your device with Apple using a support profile, try going to https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do and unregistering it. Also, change the password associated with the Apple ID that you were using for iMessage by going to https://iforgot.apple.com. If those don't work you will have to contact Apple support for assistance.

HT204053 Have new iphone. Had everything backed up on icloud. All was OK till tried to download pics and an old incorrect @me apple id showed up. Now phone reverted to year old icloud back up. Support says id with @me cannot be changed but apple store did

Question: Acquired new iphone last week. All data was backed up with icloud on old phone and all was restored OK. Today, tried to download pics to my Mac and itunes asked for phone update---which resulted in an old incorrect "@me" id being used. Now all data is over a year old --- to when the incorrect @me id was established. Apple support says @me ids cannot be changed but they did in an Apple store once. I do not know how to cahnge to correct id so can get to correct icloud data. Help

having looked into this a bit more and found I have a bigger problem than just the one i originally posted as this impacts more than one of my devices.
I think I can pose the question in a easier way.....
I changed the name of my apple ID as it was using the name of an old email account I no longer have access to.
when I go onto any of my IOS devices that are running 7.x to change the Icloud account details , I cannot delete the old account id because when I try to it asks me for the password of my old account ID as I have find my iphone turned on. when I type in the password that was on the old account it says "incorrect apple id or password". I assume because that apple ID no longer exists.
ICLOUD obviously recognises the two accounts are the save as when I run up findmyiphone on an iphobe that is logged in with my new account ID it can see other IOS devices in my family that are still logged in with the old account name.

I was trying to update my iphone software recently all was going well until I had to connect to itunes. What causes text messages to show up on another person's phone? If you change wireless accounts, would this get rid of the problem or is it the apple id? If it is an apple id, is there a way to create a new apple id, but keep (or move over) all of the music and apps that you've downloaded?

A text will show up on multiple iPhones if it is being sent to an ID that is defined as a common receive address in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. This is probably an email address. To solve the problem delete that ID on one or both of the devices.

Finally got through to tech support and found someone who seemed to know what was going on, he walked me through and using appleid.applesupport got me to a point where i could get a new password for the apple id that kept showing up.

You got the new iphone????? I have same problem. I transferred audiobooks to device to find no audiobooks on device (despite it being in iTunes as if it was). Have you found a solution????? I even tried to change import settings on format transfer but hasn't worked.
