APPLE ID WITH NO CREDIT CARD

Hello,
I've had a Apple ID but haven't "reviewed it" or downloaded anything.
I was wondering if I could activate it using no credit card so that I can download only free apps.
Thank you

If it is longer available then you can't get the app on your phone.

  • HT204088 I can't create an apple ID for not using credit card. How can i create an apple ID with no credit cards ? Thank you.

I read the supporting article. But those pictures were old. Also the format had changed. I can't create an Apple ID with no credit cards? I got no credit cards. I am just a secondary student and how can I have a credit card?

Follow the instructions on this page exactly : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 i.e. select a free app and click on 'create Apple ID' when 'buying' it (it worked for me yesterday).

  • Major Issue: VPP Managed Distribution & Apple IDs with no credit cards

Hopefully someone from Apple can advise on a temporary workaround for this issue, or when the problem will be resolved. If anyone else has experienced this issue with Managed Distribution using the VPP Token, and has a workaround, I'd be very grateful.
    My set-up
OS X Server running on Mavericks, MacBook Pro
Using managed distribution via Profile Manager with the new VPP Token, I am successfully able to push FREE apps to my staff and students. However, problems occur when pushing paid apps. If I try to push a paid app to a staff Apple ID it's fine, because most of the staff have credit cards on file. The issue arises when pushing paid apps to student Apple IDs with no credit card.
This is a real issue, because we have purchased the app already, and technically it is 'free' to whomever we push the app to in our organisation. What has also happened is when apps have gone 'free' (promotions etc) we have been able to 'buy' them at their free 'price' via VPP, but when trying to distribute them using Managed Distribution (the only option available for free apps) it classes them as 'paid' and requires a credit card be attached to the Apple ID also.
Managed Distribution for our organisation, seemed to be the perfect solution, in that we could keep track of which members of staff and students had which apps and also have the ability to revoke them. Unfortunately because of the requirement for credit cards for VPP enrolled Apple IDs I am unable to distribute any paid or 'gone free' apps.
I imagine that as more organisations turn to Managed Distribution using the token, as it is still only early days at the moment, more and more people will realise that it is not possible. I suspect many people will be yet to test it out, but for the moment it doesn't work :-(

Hey there MrsStephenson. I was just getting on here to post a similar question regarding the new Managed Distribution. We are experiencing a similar issue with Paid App Distribution but even if we add a card to the Apple ID we are trying to push to it still doesn't work. I am glad to hear we are not the only ones out there with issues regarding Managed Distribution so far as I know the more folks running into problem the more traction this will get.
I have tried so many different methods of setting up devices and I just can't get it to work. Oddly enough about a week and a half ago it started working for about an hour or so on one of my devices I was testing with (iPad Mini Retina WIFI) but then quit working shortly later when I got out and iPad Air and tried again.
I have been working with AppleCare Enterprise Support/EDU Support but so far they have not divulged much information to me. Just about the only bit of information I have received from them is as of right now they don't have any work arounds but they have had a few more of this type of problem popping up.
It was odd in that when I first got my licenses and started implementing devices it was working fine. Then, out of the blue the apps stopped automatically downloading to the devices and I had to start selecting the Push Apps option in Profile Manager to get it to work. Then eventually it quit working all together and now only free apps will install.
I hope more people start reporting/coming forward with this issue as I know that should help expedite Apple to come up with a solution. I have about 20 iPads sitting in my cabinet that people are waiting for out in our shop and I can't do anything with them until I can distribute the apps to them.

  • HT4484 I let my grandson open an apple account with my credit card.  He has been charging a little to much and I would like my credit card removed from this account.  I do not know the apple id or password.  How do i proceed?

I let my grandsn open and itunes account with my credit card.  I want to remove my cc# from his account.  I do not know his apple id or password.  How do I proceed?

I would say let him fess up and give him a chance to mend his ways, but there is at least one app that goes for $900 (according to another poster's request for a refund).  You may end up $1000+ deeper gone.
Change the account number which will close the current links and freeze/prevent charges under the old number.  As I understand it Apple gets grumpy when charges get rejected, and you need to jump through hoops to get a payment method reattached.
Yes this is a grumpy answer.

  • Can you retrieve an Apple ID with just credit card and phone number details?

My partner, a self-confessed technophobe, has had his iPhone for 18 months - it was set up by his mobile network provider (Orange UK) whose customer support has been worse than useless, keeping him on hold for around 2 hours so far and cutting him off twice.  He's only just bought his first ever computer, at the same time that his iPhone stopped working, before he had time to back up any of his songs, apps etc.  He's just got a replacement iPhone from our local Apple Store but there's no way he can restore his previous purchases as (what he thought was) his Apple ID... isn't.
Because his old phone had v3 software, he apparently never had to input his Apple ID - only the password.  Presumably Orange set him up with an Apple ID (but didn't give him the details) as the only email address he's ever knowingly had isn't recognised as a valid Apple ID.  Try to reset the password by email and the Apple ID system isn't clever enough to spot an unrecognised email address, advising a new password will be emailed with no email ever arriving (not even in junk mail).  (Incidentally, I tried to reset the password on an Apple ID I know isn't valid - my work email address - and it still appeared to have sent a password reminder by email, rather than pointing out the ID doesn't exist!).  Attempting to reset the password by answering the security questions results in the answers being incorrect, which they're most certainly not.  Since he got his original iPhone, he's purchased hundreds of songs on iTunes.  He's clearly been sent receipts somewhere, but we have no idea where.
Apple Store staff are, as usual, brilliant, trying their very best to help, but their hands are tied when it comes to iTunes support, which they tell me is operated as a separate company in its own right (they don't even have access to them by telephone, and iTunes support refuse to talk to me or my partner on the phone).
iTunes support is sending us around in circles, offering up the same tried-and-tested advice time and again, which we've told them many times does not help. They continue to issue the same advice even after sending them a frustrated email headed "PLEASE READ OUR PREVIOUS EMAILS BEFORE RESPONDING!".
I've tried, in vain, to contact iTunes support again about this (they even closed the support ticket even though the issue isn't resolved), and have had no response.
There must be some way Apple can locate my partner's Apple ID if supplied with his credit card details, mobile phone number, billing address and examples of recent purchases?  We've already provided this information to iTunes support but, once again, it's fallen on deaf ears and we've had no response from them.
Can anybody help us get to the bottom of this?  As it stands, he's spent a fortune on hundreds of iTunes songs and apps which he is legally entitled to download, but which he can no longer access, and iTunes support isn't very supportive.
(Incidentally, I recently switched allegiance from 100% Microsoft products to 100% Apple and I'm mightily impressed with their regular customer service, but iTunes support is a completely different animal.)
A million thanks to anyone who can help!

Note, usually you can't change to a no-payment method but can create a new account that is onlyy good for free apps.

  • How to setup Apple ID with no credit card?

I've tried setting up an Apple ID account for my daughter with no credit card and it won't let me.  I followed the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534 and when I do "None" is not an option.  I only want my daughter to have access to free apps to be safe for now.  Are there ways to put restrictions on an Apple ID so the user can only download free apps?
    BubbaGee

You have to ender the instructions from the App store. If you enter from theiTunes store you can't select the None option. Also, it has to be a new account.

  • Install Mavericks without associating my Apple ID with a credit card

    Hello,
I am changing to a new laptop and as part of that action I am thinking to up from OS X 10.6 to 10.9. I have an Apple developer account since long time, also a working Apple ID. However I have never used the App Store (and frankly don't intend to do it).
So I opened the App Store for the first time. I have to sign in to download Mavericks. If I use my existing Apple ID, it says that the account needs to be associated with App Store, and then proceeds to query my credit card information.
I have no intention to transmit my credit card information to the Apple / the App Store. I have read various conflicting posts on the net saying that there is a way to specify "None" as a payment type (others claim that this option doesn't exist or require that I create a new account).
On my screen I can only choose between VISA, MasterCard, American Express, ClickAndBuy, and Maestro.
How can I, as of 19 Feb 2014, download and install OS X 10.9 without providing credit card information to Apple?
    Thank you,
    h.h.

What happens if I retrieve the installer from a colleague that already runs OS X 10.9? Is the download specifically associated with his identity?
Yes, and it is a violation of the license terms as well.

How can I use my Apple ID in iTunes with out credit card?

For me it's the same, I've just bought an iPad mini two weeks ago but I cannot log in with any Apple account in FaceTime.
I enter my apple account in faceTime, then I press next the second screen and it shows "validating..." but it never gets validated.

  • How to pay for icloud? I no longer trust apple with my credit card. How can we pay for icloud without using a credit card?

Having had recently a problem with my credit card with itunes (the only place I ever used that particular card), and several fraudulent charges, I no longer wish to give my credit card information to itunes or any other apple outfit. Can we pay for icloud by cheque, or money order, or some other way, perhaps a bank account where I would leave just enough money to cover the payment. This would be the only I would pay for icloud. Please let me know. thanks.

iTunes Store credit or gift cards cannot be used as a form of payment to upgrade your iCloud storage (payment methods accepted include credit and debit cards).

  • How can i pay on the apple store online with two credit cards, with two different billing addresses

I will be greatful if you could answer me this question...
How can i pay on the apple store online with two credit cards, with two different billing addresses?
I know that you can use two credit cards to pay an item but the problem is that i can only put the billing address of just one of the credit cards, and since the two cards are from different people (my parents) i can't do it. They live in the same place so i don't know if i should just put one of the billing address.
    Thank you.
PS. I don't know if this is the right community to ask this, sorry if i'm wrong.

On the Apple Store "Payment & Pricing" page it states:
Using more than one payment card
You can also combine payment methods to pay for your purchase. Choose from the following combinations of credit cards and Apple Gift Cards:
Credit card(s) - up to two
Apple Gift Card(s) - up to eight
Apple Gift Card(s) + one credit card
During checkout, if you are paying with a gift card issued by a credit card company, you can combine it with one credit card.
