Apple ID won't change in App Store!

Does anyone know how to change the Apple ID in the App store on the iPhone 4? The ID on my MacBook and in my iTunes are both accurate, and it says in the settings of my phone (and even in the app store of my phone) that the Apple ID is accurate, but I went to update my apps and it has an innaccurate ID in the login and it won't change. I've logged out and back in, connected and synced it with my iTunes on my computer, turned it off and on again, and it still won't change when I try to update my apps. Help!

Yes - for those with this problem on the Mac, I fixed mine today. (Merry Christmas!)
1. My situation was interesting. I was logged into the App Store OK as me (you can do this despite the greying out if you go to the STORE menu in the App Store app). This meant that my "Purchases" not yet installed on this particular Macbook Pro were available to install. (It doesn't ask for the password again.) However, my "UPDATES" for software already installed brought up the sign-in dialog box with the previous user's account name greyed out (Admin IT people from my workplace).
2. The two available updates that this clearly affected were iMovie and iPhoto in my case. I therefore followed the advice here about removing the receipt identifying the previous 'purchaser' of these apps. Note: you do that via the PACKAGE of each affected application itself (using the finder) - see the instructions.
THAT FIXED IT.
3. I don't know if this is relevant, but just in case: my Mac had a separate account for our IT dept called 'Administrator'. In System Preferences under USERS & GROUPS, I selected that account and changed its Apple ID (in fact none was set at all - so it might not have been relevant) to my own Apple ID. (No password required here, so not risky on its own I think.) I don't know that this was relevant, and once I had done step 2 above (which I actually did after this one) I simply deleted my ID again from that Administrator account.

    All apps are tied to the apple id you use to download or purchase.   so when you need to update an app it will always show your husband's id because thats the id you use to purchase the app.

    you could go to settings, then itunes and app stores. you should see an option caleed apple id with your apple id to the side of it. click on it and select the option view apple id. you will have to type in your password. then you will see the details of your acoount. next, select the option called country/region. you will be able to select australia from the list of stores. you willl then change your billling adress (you should be directed). Fill in your adress in australia with your zip code and you will be done.

    If you are getting an 'account not in this country' message then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select Sweden.

    To change countries of the iTunes Store, go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region. From there it is a matter of picking the U.K. Store and you should be good.

    i have resolved the issue.
    I had to close down the App Store, re-open it, and in the purchases tab the error disappeared and the option to resume the download was there again. However, I have spent the last 3 days opening and closing the program, restarting my computer. There is obviously a problem with this because there are other users who've had the same issue. Its frustrating because Apple has already taken my $20. I could have easily gone to a store to buy it if I could.

    1. Tap "Settings"
    2. Tap "iTunes & App Stores"
    3. Tap on your Apple ID
    4.Tap "View Apple ID"
    5. Enter your user name and password.
    6. Tap "Country/Region."

    8. Select the country/region where you are located.
    9. Tap "Done".

  • I changed my App Store to US from UK as I was looking for a tv drama and now I can not get back to uk, so I can not update etc.

    Iphone 5 won't connect to app store if i want to download/update an app unless i set a wrong date (1 month in the future). As soon as I set back to automatic date/time it won't work again... so now always if I want to download an app i will have to manually set a wrong date.. There must be something wrong with the apple network or whatever, my connection is working fine...

    I bought a new iphone 4g.  Until yesterday, all was well.  Today the app store is asking for an apple id that is associated with another iphone on our itunes account.   In my settings, my apple id is correct.  I have tried signing into itunes with my account and syncing.  It did not change my app store id request.  What to do?

    Thanks for your prompt reply.  That did not work.  I signed out, turned the phone off, then on, then signed in and it still has the wrong id.  Any other ideas?  I read one post that said something about an app purchased by the other user that may need to be deleted.
