well I found one way around it. If you have a scanner you can scan a doc or any file if on paper or you also have ability to print then scan (you may even be able to simply change its format-?) you can save items as jpg and transfer to iphoto and then load them on your touch. This allows you to view them however you can NOT make changes or add to docs. You could use the included note software but this requires you to jump back and forth and to remember or write where each change belongs. The best way since you can scan is make correction notes etc before scan but again once scanned I don't think you can manipulate these "photos". Last thing I wanted to mention, don't get to excessive with file size (dimensions). 1275x 1668 is more than enough to zoom in to read small or sloppy hand written text. A few time my scanner made the file 3500x4300 or so and it went from around 1 MB to over 12 MB. I had to email to my wife so these files are far to large AND would probably slow down you viewing especially with multiple pages. Hope this helps any one in a similar situation

Try changing the password by using the security question answer vice respoonding to an email. See:

Apple recommends you change your Apple ID to your current, working email address. This will not create another Apple ID, it will only change it to your working email address. See How to change the name you use for your Apple ID if you'd like more information.
Note: @mac.com and @me.com Apple IDs can not be renamed. If you no longer use the .mac or .me email address be sure to add your valid email address as an additional email address.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Using Windows, can you have an ipod touch and an ipad on the same itunes account with the same apple ID?

I currently have an ipod touch 4th gen. I will be getting a new ipad in a few weeks. My itunes account is on a Windows computer. Will I be able to have the ipad under the same itunes account with the same apple ID as my ipod touch so I can have all of my music from my ipod touch and other info on both deveices, without using icloud or imatch etc. Thanks!

Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

Touch5 @ ios7 no longer works w/ Apple's Lightning-(nor 30 pin)-to-RCA-cable adapter BUT older ios5 Touch and ios7 ipads2

I'm a high school teacher and routinely project TED talk/podcast & other videos from my assorted Apple devices: Touch3 (ios 5), Touch5 (ios7) and iPads2&3 (ios7). I've successfully used Apple's 30pin-to-RCA, and 30pin-to-VGA, and 30-pin-to-Lightning-to-RCA cables/adapters. However, at ios7 upgrade to my Touch 5, projecting no longer works, at all, no sound, no video to projector. My 2 ipads (2 & 3 both at ios 7.0.2 continue to work fine as does my older Touch3 with ios 5.1.1. Prior to ios 7 upgrade to my Touch5, it also worked fine to my projector.
Please forward this info to Apple Education Tech Support folks for their eval and, hopefully, a specific fix to re-enable Touch5 usage of the Apple projector adapter cables. Thank you.

My iPod has music and apps from my apple ID that I downloaded to my iPod via iCloud and some apps that I got free from the store, straight onto my iPod, but my laptop has some music on it aswell, separate from my other library. I want to put the music from my laptop into my iTunes library which I want to use on both computers. Is it possible to do this?

- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

If all the synced media like music is in the iTunes library of the second computer it is very easy.

Keep the same apple id. By all means. I tunes will recognize the different devices, and you can share or not share whatever you want.

For sharing/downloading convenience, all of these are linked to one apple ID. iMessage and FaceTime were working flowlessly when we set it up. Yes, there was a problem initially where some devices were receiving someone else's texts, but they were resolved when I went to Settings and chose a specific # or email address for each DEVICE (so there's no overlapping)
All of a sudden, my daughter's Ipod Touch 4th Gen started having problems sending messges. Sending bar will go up to the end then stop right before it gets completely full--end result, message not delivered. I tried to facetime her, but nothing happens. Sometimes when I try facetiming ipod touch 4th, I'd get an error message '____ is not available for FaceTime'
I've confirmed the email address associated with ipod Touch 4 has been added and verified under my apple ID. I've tried restoring the iPod in iTunes, hard resetting the unit, turning off and on iMessage/FaceTime... and still doesn't work.

We're screwwwwwed! Not THAT familiar to apple, just barely plugging along and dove in with two ipads and two ipod touches. Previous experience was just two ipods (160 GB) that I had to still rotate audio books out of every few months... well, for me. My wife doesn't use hers as much.
