  • What is the number for Verizon Wireless  Corporate Customer Service Complaint for CA

My Complaint:  I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for approx 20 years.  I called customer service to seek an early upgrade for my daughter's phone. She is away in college and her phone is malfunctioning.  She is eligible for an upgrade in approx 6 weeks so I did not want to spend the money on a replacement phone when since we were planning on updating to something newer.  The customer service rep to me they could not do the early upgrade an to call back in a few weeks. After explaining this was unacceptable (I do not like the idea of a young female being out of state and away from home with no reliable means of communication), she places me on hold to later return with the only offer of  I must purchase a new device through her ( over the phone) which will be shipped to me, the phone was priced $100.00 more than the online price (they will not price match), plus i must pay $30.00 upgrade fee, $35.00 activation fee and taxes on the retail price of the phone.  I am upset and disappointed with the quality of service provided by Verizon being a 20 year customer.  If not for the seriousness and urgency of this matter, i would not have asked for an early upgrade.  It is times such as these that you get to see how much of a "valued customer" you really are.   I guess you are valued as long as you pay your bill and continually  purchase their products.  I would like to speak with someone from Verizon's corporate or customer relations department.  As of now I am really considering changing my service to a different provider.  I have multiple accounts with Verizon and i will canx each after the current contract committment expire (starting with my daughter's phone which expires in 6 weeks) In the meantime I will go purchase her a new phone with someone else and take comfort knowing she will have reliable communication.

I started with them in 1985. It has been wonderful service but very expensive. They seem to operate on day of deposit day of withdrawal. That means that I have no benefits nothing beyond the normal customer if I don't pay my bill they shut me off. That's why I have switch to another provider and I have better service lower cost and better phones. you can't beat  other providers I mean it. Please don't expect more from verizon other than a "pay me more money and I'll do what you want" because it's all about money. Read the transcripts from current Verizon employees all over the internet. The company is going down and they're taking customers with them.

  • Can i get the iphone for verizon or just at&t?

pretty self-explanetory. i wanrt an iphone rediculously bad, but my parents wont let me switch over to at&t. is there any way to get one for verizon? or is there talk about expnding to different networks or can i only have an iphone with at&t?

Apple approached Verizon in regards to the iPhone at or about the same time as they approached AT&T - before the iPhone was a finished product. AT&T agreed to most or maybe all of Apple's demands/requirements for the iPhone before seeing the finished product - and from a computer company that had never produced a cell phone before. With Apple and Verizon not being able to come to terms, this left AT&T with not only being the largest carrier in the U.S. in regards to the number of subscribers at the time, but the largest GSM network provider in the U.S. Manufacturing a GSM iPhone only makes sense in regards to testing and support along with GSM networks dominating the overall worldwide market by a very significant margin.
If someone believes Apple is too controlling, Apple has nothing over Verizon. Unless Verizon does a 180 in regards to the control they exert and require with the phones they carry and with their business practices, I doubt the iPhone will ever be available with Verizon even after they have their LTE network up and running across most of the country. A couple of examples that would affect the iPhone - Verizon supports visual voicemail with a couple of phones that support visual voicemail access, which were introduced after the iPhone and Apple/AT&T incorporated visual voicemail with the iPhone. Verizon charges an additional monthly fee for visual voicemail access with the phones that support it. I believe the only way to have music on a Verizon phone is by purchasing music from Verizon's online music store. This would be a direct conflict with iTunes, which doesn't require purchasing music from the iTunes store to transfer music to the iPhone, and would leave Verizon completely out of the loop in regards to additional potential revenue that would be lost with the iPhone.

  • AT Commands for Verizon Wireless USB760?

This cellular modem seems to respond to some AT commands (like AT+CSQ and AT+IPR?), but not other (like AT+CREG?).  Novatel Wireless technical support and Verizon Wireless technical support have not responded to my queries regarding what AT commands ARE supported by the modem.  I tried AT+CLAC, which is supposed to cause the modem to list all supported AT commands, but, surprise, that command is not supported either.  Can anyone point me toward a list of the AT commands that this modem supports?
    Thanks,
    Don

I know this is an old post but for future researchers, these are the commands to reset the USB devices used with VZAM.  These are to used with great care as you could mess up your device if entered incorrectly.
When you open it again it will rebuild the proper files and should resolve this concern.
*Note: The commands must be typed precisely as shown or it can render the device unusable if customer gets it wrong have the exit the window and try again.
    1.  Open VZ Access Manager
    2.  Hold down the Control button and type T (this should open the DOS prompt box)
    3.  Type ATZ and then click the Enter key (it should then respond OK)
    4.  Type AT$QCMIPP=0 (the last character is a zero) and then press the Enter key (it should then respond OK)
    5. Type AT$QCMIPEP=1 and then press the Enter key (it should then respond OK)
    6. Type AT$QCMIPGETP and then press the Enter key (device information will be displayed)
    7. Close VZ Access Manager
When you open it again it will rebuild the proper files and should resolve this concern.

  • Thinking of signing up for Verizon wireless

    Hi,
I am thinking of siging up for verizon service 2 year aggrement, with one of the many internet resellers.
Quick question: The resellers require me to get the $30 data plan for atleast 181 days. Can I downgrade the plan after that to the $15 one, without extending my contract?
Would really appreciate anj early reply.
    Thanks!

Verizon doesn't care if you change your data plan, only the internet reseller.  In order to protect their commission, they require you to make no changes to your contract for 181 days.  After that, you can make any changes you like to your account as long as you maintain any required data features for the type of phone you have.

  • New Apple ID for Verizon iPhone?

Getting my new Verizon iPhone tomorrow, and trying to decide whether to create an additional Apple ID. I already have an iPad and my wife has an AT&T iPhone, both of which are set up and logged in with our original ID. The new phone will be my work phone, so I'm leaning toward setting up a new ID for it only. Question is, do I lose access to all my previously purchased songs, apps, etc being transferred to my new phone from my iTunes library? A little help would be great. Thanks in advance.

There is no benefit with doing this.
All 3rd party apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account used to download the apps with. Getting a new Apple ID or iTunes account will be more trouble than it is worth - whatever you think the worth with a new iTunes account will be. Constantly having to log in and out with each iTunes account with iTunes on your computer, etc.

  • Iphone for  verizon

If i buy the iphone ... do i have to have at and T ... cause i have verizon and so does my whole family... and i want to keep it... is theyre any possible way i could do that?

Apple had off and on talks with Verizon for almost a year, perhaps as an additional carrier along with ATT. If they'd come to agreement, it's likely there'd be both CDMA and GSM models available today. Of course, the Verizon model would've surely used EVDO (3G).
They just had too many sticking points. Reportedly Verizon was okay with giving Apple a monthly percentage of the contract as ATT does. But Verizon didn't want to give up their own ringtone and multimedia sales, which are lucrative. They didn't like giving up control over warranty and repair. And they were against the idea of their sales partners (such as BJ's) not being able to sell the phone.
Verizon still had a fewer percentage of customers leave last year than ATT.

  • Ipad 3 Temp Fix for Verizon Wireless 3G Connection Issues

Not sure why there is a 3G issues. I tried different iPads, SIM cards and Mobile numbers. All have the same issue. They only thing that fixes it is to turn off 4G. Then the 3G works without an issue. Hopefully Apple will see this and push out an update soon!
This is a iPad 3 running on Verizon Wireless

Yes i have this problem too in my Ipad 1 IOS 5.0.1 but this problem start when i update the IOS 4.3.3 for 4.3.5

  • Is there ever going to be a iphone at Verizon Wireless?

Does any one know if and maybee when the iphone will be availbe at any other cell companies?

I think Cameron is referring to possible changes in the law and/or contract re-negotiations between Apple & AT&T. While these things are possible, without a Mk 7 Crystal Ball (with Soothsayer V4.7 or above), nobody can say if or when they might happen.
And has already been pointed out, unless Verizon completely ditches its CDMA network & replaces it with a GSM version (which is likely to cost billions), no currently made or planned iPhone will work with the carrier, regardless of any legal or contractual changes ... this in no small part because the laws of physics that govern electromagnetic modulation & detection have proven remarkably indifferent to the legal machinations of mankind.
    Go figure.

I am not a techy, but I am usually able to describe to the support people the exact conditions under which errors occur. Why this issue that we are both having, as common as it is (do a search and you will see it everywhere), is not common knowledge is beyond me.
To review my situation: If I was hooked to a Wi-Fi connection, I had no problem receiving or sending emails from my Time Warner account. Once I disabled the Wi-Fi switch on iPhone (as if I were out of range, traveling) and tried to send a message with my TW email account, I got the error message that it "could not identify" the server and then the email would go to my outbox.
I think I have found the answer after about an hour on the phone: a call to Time Warner who eventually urged me to call Verizon about outgoing server settings, a call to Verizon who told me that the problem was with TW and their settings, a call again to Time Warner, and finally I received a call from Verizon tech support to make sure I got my answer from Time Warner! The short answer is: Time Warner has an issue/limitation (Perhaps with the 3G network?)
*The second call to TW revealed what Verizon support suspected....YOU NEED TO BE ON A WI-FI TO SEND EMAILS VIA TW. No problem ever receiving--just sending.* I hope this sheds some more light on your situation. Not a major deal for me, (I'll probably use a gmail account), but it is good to know WHY something does not work. All parties were helpful and patient at least.

  • Very hesitant to do Verizon Wireless iPhone 6 Trade-In Program

On September 28, 2014 I ordered an iPhone 6 for my wife and signed up for the iPhone 6 Trade-In Promotion. My wife's iPhone 4 was "appraised" for $200 online and Verizon mailed the extremely flimsy tiny envelope for my wife to mail her iPhone 4 to Verizon for her  "$200" Electronic Gift Card. First of all, the tiny little envelope is so flimsy and contains very little bubble wrap. It offers very little protection and I can easily see the screen breaking during the mailing process when it is such a poor envelope. In addition, there is no tracking information whatsoever on the envelope. If the iPhone 4 gets lost or broken, adios $200. My wife's iPhone 4 is in Excellent Pristine condition but I am very hesitant for my wife to take part in this program because of all of the horror stories I have been reading on the Verizon forums (please see links attached below) or on the internet. People who took part in the program are reporting of lost or broken phones but they were in perfect condtion when they were mailed. Furthermore, there are stories of "Find My Phone" not being turned off even when people have photos of the process. People have even taken photos or videos of the condition of their phone upon mailing to Verizon but this doesn't seem to help.
At this point I am probably going to try to sell my wife's iPhone 4 on eBay because we can't take the risk of getting $20 or less instead of the $200. I am surprised more of these stories haven't gotten to the mainstream press. It would be good if some news station like CBS or NBC would cover the mounting complaints. I am thinking of writing an email to some head honcho at Verizon and venting my concern to tell him why us 20+ year Verizon customers probably won't take part in the program.

This is a photo of the very flimsy envelope that Verizon Wireless provides to ship the iPhone which is being traded in to Verizon. There is very little Bubble Wrap inside this VERY FLIMSY TINY envelope. No wonder iPhones are lost or being delivered broken to Verizon.
I might re-consider taking part in this iPhone Trade-In program if a Verizon Customer Representative monitoring this board reaches out to a manager at my local Verizon Wireless Store in Trumbull, CT and allows me to bring in the iPhone for an immediate $200 credit since my wife has already bought the iPhone 6. With the flimsy envelope which has no tracking I am afraid of the consequences it will bring if I use it. I am not about to spend countless hours with Customer Reps on the phone if I use the envelope and I don't get the $200 credit because the phone gets damaged in the mail or lost by Verizon. This is Verizon's chance to reach out to me so they don't lose me as customer. Let them make the effort to allow me to do this rather than me having to get the run around thru phone calls, being put on hold, and unaswered emails.
I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. For the last several years my family of 4 has been paying close to $250 per month for Verizon Wireless services. I am going to strongly consider switching to AT&T after our contracts expire. AT&T has a Bring Your Own Device montly plan which would cost us only $160 per month vs. $237 per month we are paying Verizon. This potential $77 per month savings and Verizon's iPhone Trade-In joke of a program is what will push us over the edge to switch.

  • Verizon wireless iPhone 4 / can receive email cannot send on Road Runner

Help! I just got my new iPhone from Verizon Wireless today and the consultant set up my email for me. I can receive emails from Road Runner, but I cannot send them. I have tried every setting on the Internet that I can find, but none of them work in order for me to receive email. I got this phone so I could send and receive email...I have read that a lot of people who have Road Runner email have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Apple Switching To Verizon?

Just a simple question indeed, but i need proof that iPhone is switching to VZW... I had heard from a current iPhone User and they said that they are going to verizon... Me, being a Apple Enthusiast and i happen to have everything Apple, Except My phone. Which is A Verizon Lg Dare. Closest thing to the iPhone at the time i got it... but then i realized nothing compares to the iPhone and am wondering when they're going to switch since i know my parents wouldnt ever switch providers cause they LOVE Verizon.

Apple has not made any announcement regarding offering an iPhone that is compatible with Verizon's CDMA network. Apple's exclusive with AT&T for the iPhone expires sometime in 2010, which may be extended again.
Verizon is in the process of switching from a CDMA network to an LTE network, and AT&T is in the process of doing the same. This means Verizon and AT&T will have the same type of network at some point. Verizon probably won't have their LTE network in place on a wide scale until 2011 or so. IMO, it doesn't make much sense for Apple to produce a CDMA network compatible iPhone for Verizon which will be good for a year or so since Verizon is switching from CDMA to LTE.

  • Is there a prompt to activate visual voicemail once I switched services from Verizon Wireless to Verizon Pre-Paid Services?

I recently transferred from my verizon wireless account over to verizon prepaid; my iPhone 4 will only allow me to extract voice mail by dialing in *86 and my visual voicemail is not functioning. The message I get is from the phone voicemail greeting screen setup is " Voicemail Unavailable could not authorize access" . Is there a fix for this? please help.

Just got off the phone with Verizon. Voicemail indication and access to your voice from the Phone app is now restricted. There is no Voicemail directly from you iPhone for Verizon pre-paid.
If you can not get to your Verizon Voicemail hit *228 and respond with a 1 and let the message say your phone has been setup.

  • OCT 28 VERIZON WIRELESS WOULD BE SELLING iPAD!!!

The iPad and special promotional bundles will be sold exclusively through Verizon Wireless retail stores, telesales, verizonwireless.com/ipad and business-to-business sales representatives. The iPad will be available with three bundles - all featuring an iPad Wi-Fi model, a Verizon MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot and a case designed for both devices. A monthly access plan of up to 1GB of data for just $20 a month will be available for customers who purchase the bundles.

I'm curious to see how that will affect their data pricing.
Data plans for the iPad are as follows:
    $20 for 1 gig
    $35 for 3 gigs
    $50 for 5 gigs
Wonder how they'll justify charging $10 for 25 MEG for their mobile phones.
Honestly there no justification for the charges for the mobile phones. Since this is only a promotional plan for Verizon Wireless. It would most likely change in the later on in the future.
    $20 for 1GB ($20 / 1GB overage), $35 for 3GB ($10 / 1GB overage) or $50 for 5GB ($10 / 1 GB overage)
