The apps which show on the file sharing section on your iPad when connected to your computer's iTunes, you have exactly the same apps installed on your iPhone - they are not separate iPad and iPhone apps that you have installed on your iPad/iPhone, and only the iPad version supports file sharing ?
For iBooks, that won't show, it doesn't support file sharing. You can add ibooks / epubs / PDFs to your computer's iTunes library (the iBooks app if you are using a Mac with OS X Mavericks on it) via File > Add To Library, and you sync them to a device via its Books tab :
If you want to copy them off the device to your computer's iTunes (to the iBooks app on Mavericks) then File > Devices > Transfer Purchases will copy them over (that will copy PDFs and epubs from the iBooks app on your device, not just ibooks).

I lost an Apple Ipod nano wayback in Feb 2009 in Bangalore, India.
Just wanted to report it in this community..and get help on this. Can we block it somehow.
Please let me know if there is a site where we can add the serial number o the lost IPOD.

There is nothing you can do to block it.February 2009 was a long ways away even if there was something to have been done. I hope you have another iPod to enjoy by now.

Make sure your headphones are plugged ALL the way in, meaning the white part of the headphones is flush with the Nano and you cannot see any silver from the plug still showing.

You should be storing your music on a computer that you sync your iPad mini to. You can then sync your iPod to the same computer to copy over the music to the iPod.

I'm sorry, but that's how things are done in America. IE, not very shocking !!! .. For example, you buy a coffee, say for $1, but the material only costs Cents ,, get my point?? ..
My thing is that there really aren't any cases immediately available to buy 'now' .. You either have to wait or . hmm you have to wait ie nano tubes (no longer available) or the incase folio (shipping was changed from 1 to 2 weeks to 2 to 3 weeks???) ..

Apple iPod NANO Lanyard

I would really like to buy the Apple iPod Nano Lanyard, it would be perfect for me. However after reading the reviews from the Apple store, I am afraid that my Nano will fall off and break or get lost after a short period of use. I can't afford to keep buying Nano's. Does anyone know if Apple has taken this problem to heart and fixed the problem, making it more secure? I can't believe that they would continue to sell a product that could cause you to loose such an expensive investment? If there has been a fix, does anyone know of a date to "buy after"?

I have the lanyard and while I don't subject it to extreme pressure I have run around with it quite a bit with no ill effects. I am disappointed though that there is no mechanical release though. There are other options available that would have a separate lanyard earphones options. I love it and had to pick it up after having a shuffle but personally it's great.

The nano itself doesn't have a built-in radio selector, remote, etc.; none of the iPods do.
You can get a radio remote for your iPod for $50 at the Apple Store (this is compatible with nanos and video iPods). See this link for the display page for this product:

Apple iPod Nano replacement program - question

Hello, Apple community,
I have a question about the new replacement program of the iPod nano 1st gen.
The program doesn't state whether or not you get a refund or a new iPod nano (the small squared once with touch screen).
The program says that you'll get a replacement iPod Nano, but isn't very specific if it is the new generation.

I can say it is not a scam - Apple is definitely replacing the iPods. Once I read the article and went to apple.com, that proved it. Apple.com would never risk another class action lawsuit over this iPod.
My First Generation iPod was given to me at work for being the winner of a give-away drawing and about a year or so ago it overheated and erased all the info on the iPod. Now it will only charge and drain the battery. It no longer allows me to store any thing on it.
I am glad that Apple is doing this exchange. I thought I was just out of luck and was glad I had not paid full price for it. I love my Nano and used it constantly!!!
Just send your's in using the box and label they send you and give them 6 weeks like the apple.com website says, Apple will make good on their product. Millions of people don't stand in line and wait weeks/months for their new products to arrive for no reason, trust me. Oh, by the way, I know this for sure.....I work for a wireless phone service that has been dealing with Apple for Yearsssssssssssss.....and every year the same thing. People will give anything to get a product with that apple on it.

IPod Touch Price Drop

Hi,
I HAVE searched, and a good answer to my question was not found. The new iPhone is $199, and the iPod Touch is currently $299. I am aware that the iPhone plan rates have gone up. I would like to know if there has been any kind of announcement for the iPod Touch and a price drop. My 14th birthday is in about a month, I think I need to upgrade my 1g nano, but I don't think I can just run out there and spend $300.

Hello. I was just wondering, which case looks like it would be better, look better, and just overall better. They are both twenty dollars. Which one should I get? The Incase Neoprene Sleeve for iPod Nano, or Agent 18 Shield for iPod Nano. They are in the Apple store under iPod Nano cases, but I can't put a link to them for some reason. What is your opnion?

I just received my Incase Neoprene Sleeve for my Ipod Nano. It looks great sure it wont make the nano as tiny but no cases do. It has a cover for the screen and the click wheel. I have not recived my nano yet but I have seen one in the sleeve. The picture quality was very good. When I receive my nano it will go straight to the case. If you want I will write a review for you. My suggestion is the Incase neoprene Sleeve!
P.s. Have you look at the reviews on the Apple Store online?

I have an iPod nano that is very probable to be on the extended guarantee plan. I had the product registered and a replacement request sent. According to Apple, an empty box is on its way. This is since January and I haven't received n/e thing. What can I do?

It should take a couple of days. Something has happened with your box. Call Apple and request a new one.
