** APPLE LOGO FLASHING. Please help!!
I plugged my iPod nano 3rd generation into the computer to sync it. It said it could not recognize the iPod and asked if i wanted to restore it and download the newest version of itunes. I said yes to both and after unplugging it, it won't work anymore.
The iPod just shows the apple logo then the screen turns white for less then a second and then goes black. Then it repeats this. I've gone through pages and pages of these message boards but im just not getting the right anwsers. I've tried the five 'Rs' but nothing i click on the iPod does anything. I cant toggle the hold switch and hold down the menu and centre button, it doesnt do anything. Also the computer doesnt recognize it and neither does Itunes. Please help!

I restarted my iPad but it is just stuck on the apple logo. Please help
I restarted my iPad, but it is stuck on the apple logo. Please help.
If a reset doesn't work, you will have to try and force the iPad into Recovery Mode (data will be lost)
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
Hi,
My Iphone got wet and now when I turn it on it will not go past the apple logo. Please help.Take it in for service or most likely out of warranty replacement. Water damage voids your warranty so you will need to pay towards the replacement.
Cheers

I done the update, it then said to plug into itunes - once i plug it in it crashed and now just has the apple logo on. it wont load switch on or off. Please help!!
Restart computer. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

Ok, So Heres the whole story. I was trying to download the app "shozu" on my ipod from the wifi app store. a pop up came on my ipod and said that it was unable to download and it will be a available next time i sync my ipod with itunes. So i pluged in my ipod to my copmputer and itunes opened, it started to sync my ipod, it went through the long back up and then said syncing shozu to ipod. so i was waiting and noticed it said ipod sync complete, but i looked at my ipod and saw it was stuck on the sync in progress screen with the slide bar saying slide to cancel sync, but my ipod was froze. i waited awhile and it still was stuck on that screen so i disconected my ipod and held the sleep button and home screen button till my ipod shut off and the apple logo appeared. Its now been stuck on the apple logo for about 5 houre now. When i connect it to my computer, it takes about 10 minutes for itunes to reconize my ipod then it says syncing ipod in the itunes screen but my ipod is still stuck on the apple logo. pleaase help me fix my ipod. i desperatly need my ipod. i apreaciate any help at all. thank so much.

You will need a compatible OS X installer DVD to do anything. If the machine qualifies i would purchase a copy of Snow Leopard ($29 USD.) Then I would contact AppleCare to order replacement discs for the computer.
Once you have a usable installer disk I would start by erasing the drive and installing OS X from scratch.
Drive Preparation and Snow Leopard Installation
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
7. Upon completion of formatting quit DU and return to the installer. Now install Snow Leopard following the onscreen instructions.

My Mac g5 is stuck on apple logo screen, please help!
I have a Mac g5 before they had intel (so its pretty old) and today it was stuck on the apple logo screen and the fans become really loud. I don't know what's wrong with it, I'm scared to do anything as I don't wanna lose all my files. I was going to take it to the apple store to get it fixed but if there is nothing they can do I don't wanna take a 45 min drive to get there. Any info will help! Thanks!
MeganHi Megan,
Most Apple stote don't know what a G5 is, nor will most even look at them or work on them, so call 1st if deciding to try that.
If worse comes to worse we can easily pull the drive(s) & get the info back most likely.
You'll have to power off, then hold alt key at bootup to see if any boot disks show up.
If not...
Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...
/sbin/fsck -fy
Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.
(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

Do you have the G5's Install Disc? -
My MacBook is stuck on apple logo and heats up. I tried restarting in safe mode but it's still stuck. I also tried to repair the disk using disk utility. It says that HD is ok, so when I restart, I'm still stuck on the logo. Is there a way I could fix this without loosing my files?
Restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys so you can access OS X: About OS X Recovery
From there you can reinstall OS X, repair the startup disk, and restore from a Time Machine backup.
FYI ... wiht ML installed, the only way to repair the startup disk is OS X Recovery, not the Disk Utility app installed on your Mac. You can verify but not repair. -

It's just freeze........................
I have had my IPad 2 weeks. I plugged it in to charge it and it went off and wouldn't come back on. I tried holding down the sleep and home buttons at the same time and after a minute, I got a picture of the the cord with an arrow above it pointing to the itunes logo. I logged on to itunes and plugged the IPad into my computer. ITunes said it was going to reload the software but it couldn't I tried four times and it failed each time. I called Apple and after 45 minutes, the gave me a return number to send it back UPS. I thought Apple made better products tyhan this. If I had known what I know now I wouldn't have bought it. If I could get my money back, I would. (No returns after being opened!!!!!!!!!!!) I won't be buying anything else from Apple!

I already tried reboting it and that didnt work, i later tried the hard wire methoad and that didnt work either.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have a classic, several years old.
It will not recharge; the Apple logo flashes every few seconds then disappears.
I have tried the 'reboot' advice i.e. move the Hold switch on and off, hold the Menu and Center buttons, no success.
I have tried this many times and kept the ipod connected for several hours. And I have tried two different cords, one connected to the desktop computer, one connected to electrical outlet.Hi enbridge4,

I'm trying to use as an ipod. Today when after I updated it, it is stuck with a picture of a plug, an arrow, and itunes logo. Please help. I've tried resetting. Thanks
Did you try to restore it with itunes it should work then.Or try and reset it by going to settings/general/reset. If it doesn't work than go to apple some time and tell them about the error if they don't fix it than I am confused and have no clue what to do.
