Apple logo seems to allow light to pass through it onto the display

Whenever the screen is on low light, or when the backlight is off completely, I can see a yellowy light in centre of the screen which appears to be the apple logo allowing light through. As you can probably guess this is very annoying, is there any way to fix it?

Really?
Scrobby... the Apple logo is just a cut out in the aluminum casing with a plastic insert that allows the displays backlight to shine through. Unfortunately, it will work in both directions... particularly if there is a bright light shining through the back. You can simply tape something over the logo that doesn't let light through... or put some type of skin or hard cover on (other than a transparent one). You just need to block the light from shining through the back.
