My phone wont turn on/off or connect to itunes. The apple logo keeps coming on and fading off. Ever since I upgraded to the new software.. i have been having problems with the phone.

Aplpe logo wont go away -trying to restore

Tried restoring a Jailbroken ipod touch 2g to factory settings and the apple logo wont go away. I havbe tried off and home button a few times and it goes away and then comes back. Also has the circular fan below the apple- please help. I sold the ipod touch and need to ship it out today.

I am having exactly the same problem. Had a jailbroken 1g iTouch, wanted to give it my wife so did a reset. Now doing the same thing, shows apple logo with the circle processing thingy.... for about 30 hours now.

Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes, then restart the iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons until you see the Apple logo. If that don't fix you problem take a look at this link, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

MBP wont go past apple logo/ wont reinstall ML via OS X utility HELP!!

I recently upgraded to ML a few days again and my MBP appeared to be operating just fine, never had a single issue with this machine until now, my laptop was on sleep mode I simply entered my password and it froze kept spinning loading for a while I restarted it and this is where it started it just wont go past the apple logo it just spins, I tried booting up from my HD and Recovery HD i started disk utility did verify disk, repair disk, it says my HD appears to be ok, but when I verify disk/repair it did give me some type of error message, I tried reinstalling ML via OS X utility i accepted the terms put in my apple ID + password hit ok and I get an error message saying close this application and try again I've done that a few times and it's just not working I also tried restarting while holding the command+S and I typed fsck -fy it ran a few prompts and said HD appears to be ok... what do I need to do here? I didn't back up any of my files.....

I have a similar problem, when I start my MacBook (I bought it early 2009 and runs Mountain Lion) it gives me the option to select the user but even when the cursor moves I am not able to select any user to go on. So I am not able to log in. And my DVD drive doesn't work (this problem is not new).
So if you find and answer, please let me know.

Logo wont go away on ipod

i have a logo of what looks like a wall charger and wont go away and cannot add songs on becuase of it please help now

I still havent got a fix ive seriously tried everything that i can find or that is possible but the updater has definetly ruined my ipod.
ive also got the same icon as you...mines got an arrow and a part that connects to the bottom of your ipod.
can anyone help?

i restarted it but then disconected it and now the only thing the screen shows is an apple. after it disapears only a language menu appears. then i connect it to the computer and the apple appears in an instant. i dont know what to do!

Follow the directions on the page, then try each of the R's one at a time, fully. Be sure to do the 5 R's in the order they appear because "Restore" is a last resort since it erases all content on your iPod.

i was restarting my iphone and then the apple logo appeared and now wont go unless power is off wont close or open just wud reset and come back on only the apple and when i insert my sim ppl calling me they get a ringing tone but i dont get anything from the phone can someone help me plz...

How long do you wait with the Apple logo on the screen?
It can take some considerable time without any indication of progress before the iPhone obviously changes its display having finished resetting.... We used to be impatient when the logo was there for what seemed like ages but every time we waited and everything eventually returned to life. I know that is not always the case, but if the logo is there for tens of minutes then it is worth taking it to an Apple Store (or any of the registered repairers) for assessment.

Stuck on apple logo wont go in recovery mode

today i connected my iphone 5s with a apple charger which was actually not charging it was short or what i dont know exactly but it was over heated i connected it for 2/3 sec then i pulled out after that i was using my phone and it was okay but i felt its heating too much then suddenly i saw it losing signal and saying no service but the signal came back after 10 secs and ignored it and after 10min i plugged it in for charging with my laptop and it didn't charged then i plugged it in with its adapter and again it didn't charge then i switched it off and when i restarted it stuck on apple logo. tried going in dfu and recovery mode but it wont go.
i am helpless :"( i bought it a week ago and i am student and i bought it with my own pocket money please help me

This might be hardware related due to the failure of the adapter during charging the phone.
Visit an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place, show them the phone and the accessory and let them check it.
If you bought it from Apple or an Authorized Reseller, it should still be covered by the one-year-warranty.

I tried to erase all content and settings and now the apple logo wont leave

I had a lot of data on my phone and i wanted to get rid of it. so i went to the settings and went to reset. then i chose erase all content and settings. that was at about 330 today. it said it may take about an hour and i tapped ok and the apple and loading bar came up. i left the house without my phone figuring that the process would be done when i got back. i got home about 2 hours later and my phone was stuck on the logo and i couldnt get it to go away. i tried reseting it and nothing. i let the battery die and nothing. its still stuck on the logo and ocassionally the little loading circle apears and once in a while it will vibrate or flash. can anyone help me? my phone is basically my life and i depend on it for so much. any advice is greatly appreciated.

start iTunes,
plug in your USB cable
switch off your iPhone
press holding home button(the round button in front of the Phone)
plug it on to the USB cable
keep holding the button
till iTunes says it found a iPhone in recovery mode
then click restore as a NEW iPhone
then sync!?

IPad 2 Stuck at Apple Logo (Recovery Mode)

We have a few people at work that we have purchased iPads for about 2 years ago. One user's iPad is not working any longer and is stuck on a black screen with the apple logo. He claims he did do the latest update on the iPad a few days ago but it had been working fine. He noticed the charge was getting low so he plug it in at his desk to leave it alone and let it charge. He left it charged for about 2 hours and when he goes to use it it is stuck on the apple logo/black screen and can not do anything. I come to look at it and try holding the wake/sleep top button to see if i can get it to shutdown, the apple logo will go away but it is just a black screen, and if i press the home button it shows the apple logo again. if i hold down wake/sleep and home button at the same time it will show to connect to itunes. So on a computer with itunes i connect it while holding the buttons down but nothing would ever show in itunes. I tried on another pc with itunes and did the same thing this time it showed on itunes that it was in recovery mode and to select restore, it shows itunes is restoring software and shows the apple logo with a progress bar and it finishes, then progress bar shows again and then seems to finish again. It just keeps showing the apple logo and wont do anything. The first time i used recovery mode and tried to restore the factory defaults it showed like it finished but then showed the battery logo like the battery was almost dead but it had been charging a while before i unplugged it. I left it charged over night but still just shows apple logo and after about a minute the apple logo will go away and it will be just a black screen but the apple logo keeps showing. I also tested the charger for the ipad2 and it works fine on another ipad so there is no issue with the charger. Is there anything else i can try or will i just have to call apple?

It sounds like you are unable to use your iPad because it will not get past the Apple logo. You've done just about everything I would have done so far. I would next reset the device while you have it connected to the wall charger that it came with:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
