Apple logos comin n goin and it wont turn on

Question

hey!
i had a problem with a few songs on my nano. a point woul come where my nano couldnt play the song any further and jumped to the next song unless i fast forward the song, so i decided to format the nano. but unfotunately whike it was fromating, the power went away n my pc turned off. since then i cant turn on my nano. the aplle logo comes as if its starting for the 1st time but it wont turn on it would go away for a second and then come back. i left it for a night and when i woke in the morning it was working again but it was all empty and it even asked me to choose the language in the begining. i decided to reset it, but when i did it started doin the same thing again and since then its been doing it over n over n it wont turn back on. im just waiting so that i can plug it back in and complete the format. Any suggestions? my dads really gona kill me if he finds out i ruined it

- Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.
- If a 5G iPod

- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Try:                                               
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable       
- Try on another computer                            
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
