Apple loops not folloiwng key changes

They follow tempo changes, but not key changes. Using both "green" and "blue" loops from the Loop Browswer, as well some audio takes I recorded and converted to Apple Loops using the Loop Utility. Same result for all.
Ideas? Thanks.

thanks.. heres a another question now that i have it making the changes.
is there a way to select what follows the changes and what doesnt. for example
I edit my drum tracks in phatmatik and then bring the midi files into logic. I don't want them to change, because the drums sounds would be off and in some case triggering no sounds.

Apple loop not responding to tempo changes

apple loops that have been created from an audio file in the arrange window do not respond to tempo changes. when i had logic 7 there would be a change in the audio file from an audio to an apple loop icon. this is not happening w/ logic 8 although it appears to be saved in the apple loop window but still i have no access to changes being made there as well. what is thew problem?

Third Party Apple Loops not being shown in Loop Browser.

Hey Everyone!
I posted this in the GB forum but nobody answered... maybe here someone can shed some light on this issue.
I am a quite experienced user of GB, Logic and Soundtrack, and usually I find the workarounds for these kind of problems but I'm stumped here.
-I've recently got 4 Big Fish "JamPacks" with a lot of apple loops (they were purchased as "apple loops" and they came in a folder called "apple loops")
-I installed all of them in /library/audio/apple loops (this is my default location for ALL my apple loops)
-I trashed the search indexes from /library/audio/apple loops Index (the only location where I have search indexes on my computer)
-dropped the entire "apple loops" folder in the GB loops browser.
-all the previously installed loops show up but only three of the new packs show up on the loop browser, the fourth one is nowhere to be found.
I tried reindexing three or four times in different ways
I also tried dropping just some of the apple loops of this particular folder directly on the loops browser and still no luck.
Actually, these individually dropped loops appeared in the /library/audio/apple loops/user loops/single files folder, so GB took them. but they are not found in the loop browser.
what's going on?
Why other identically crafted loops in the same folder (but not the same subfolder) are indexed but not these?
Could it be that they are wrongly formatted or not formatted at all as Apple Loops?
How can I check that?

Now I have an update: I ran some of the loop files through Apple Loops Utility and a a first glance, they are not tagged...
Is there any good way to be sure they are/aren't formatted as apple loops?
Shouldn't the loop browser take any .aiff file even if it is not tagged?
I appreciate ANY input at all... I'm shocked.

Apple Loops not dropping onto track area

I hope someone can help. I just upgraded to GB 11 and downloaded over a gig of apple loops. But whenever I drag a loop onto the blank track area it absolutely will not drop and creat the track as it is supposed to. I can demo all loops, and I can drag one over, but it "sticks" to my cursor and will not drop.
I have a MB Pro 2.4 GHz with 8GB ram, running OS X 10.6.8
Anybody know a possible solution to my problem?

Weird. The same thing just started happening to me, but the loop sticks to my cursor and won't drop. I have to force-quit GB for christ sake. As I write this I see the small title of the loop superimposed onto my Safari window. What a weird glitch.

Apple Loops not installed

I recently purchased iLife 06 and installed Garageband 3 on my old Powerbook Titanium G4. The application runs, but when I start it up I get a message that Apple loops have not been installed. Strange. I searched my hard drive, and sure enough, they are not there. So, I reinserted the install disk thinking that I would do a custom install and just install the Apple Loops and whatever sounds I wanted. However, when I go to the custom install screen, installing Garageband and it's subfolders is not an option. I can select and deselect all the other iLife apps, but Garageband does not give me the option to select it.
I thought maybe I should do an uninstall/reinstall of Garageband, but I'm not sure how to do that, or if it would be successful. I'd rather not have to do that. I read in a forum that I should be able to do an uninstall from the install disk, but I have not found that to be an option with my install disk.

Move everything with a name containing GB or iLife out of that folder; if nothing in that folder matches those criteria either, create a new folder on the desktop and move everything in the Receipts folder to it, or use Pacifist to extract the content.

Apple Loops - How do you change the monitoring output?

Anyone know how to change the default output of the Apple Loop player to another output (eg. 5-6), or is this just wishful thinking?

Very easy. Go to the mixer tab, and select the ALL button at the top of that window. You should see a channel strip called Prelisten, usually on audio channel 256. Change that output to whatever, and that will change the monitoring output for loops, the bin, and the Sample Editor.

I can't seem to make an apple loop that would get saved with the current projects tempo....i recorded a single bar midi drum loop with 130 as project tempo but when i save it as an apple loop it gets saved with a tempo of 92bpm. strange thing is when i drag the same loop back on a instrument track it plays at the current tempo i.e., at 130bpm but if i drag it to an audio track it plays at 92bpm... really stuck here....any help would be greatly appreciated..thanx..

Assigning Keys to Apple Loops in Logic

I am creating Apple Loops in Logic by selecting an audio region and then selecting "Add to Apple loops library" under the mini region menu.
The manual states that whatever key I set in Global tracks is the key that is assigned to the loop. This works well for pitched material, but for non pitched material I don't want a key designated. I have noticed that when I set a tag to the loop of "Drums" no key is assigned, but when I set a tag of "Percussion" the key does get assigned to the particular loop. This is a problem because the pitch of the percussion changes when that Apple Loop is brought back into another Logic session that has a different key assignment the a particular loop on the Global Track.
I understand I can designate "No Key" in the Apple Loops utility, but I prefer to make my loops straight from the Logic arrange window. I am finding the Apple Loops Utility a bit buggy. Does anyone know the most recent version of the Apple Loops Utility?

I've found Apple Loops VERY buggy in L9! Not only do they not loop correctly in the browser when your project is at a sample rate other than 44.1 (for example, working for broadcast at 48k as I mostly do), but I've also seen them behaving weirdly in the arrange page.
Today I had a truncated Apple Loop in a project which would play back differently on subsequent attempts. Sometimes it would get to bar 4, for example, and other times it would only get midway through bar 3...! And this is with basic Apple factory installed loops.
What's up with this? I've already re-indexed and re-installed the loops. No change. No fix.
Totally unprofessional, Apple.

Loops not in project key

Sometimes when i drag the blue apple loops into my project, they dont sound like they have changed to the correct key as the project...why could this be?
I thought that all of the apple loops would transpose to match the project key automatically?

I am having this same problem too. And its very fustrating!
Did any of you find a solution to this problem? How to get the loops to change key to the projects key signature?
Any help will be gratefully received!

Error on start: Path does not exist: /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index

I get the error "Path does not exist: /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index
Without this directory you can not use the LoopBrowser. Please make sure this directory exists" when starting Garage Band. I also cannot use the onscreen keyboard, or musical typing in GarageBand. All other sounds work fine.
The only thing that changed since I last used GB was that I installed Leopard. (and that was a while ago, so I thought all was well and got rid of my last Tiger backup. )
Any suggestions?

Another update: I tried to reinstall garage band from the disks that came with my mac, but got the error:
"Install Failed
Unable to Install
The Installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install."

Not able to increase gain of blue Apple Loop in Sample Editor, even when I bounce in place

As far as I understand things, bouncing in place creates a new audio file that you can alter at will. I have a blue Apple Loop from Logic's library that I want to permanently change the gain on. I can bounce in place but all the functions in the sample editor are greyed out, thus not allowing me to change the gain. The loop is a surround sound loop, I don't know if that matters. It's happened to me in stereo so I don't think so.

Finaly i was able to solve the problem.The other machine was having some firewall blocking the receiver.

I can't update iPhoto after installing OSX 10.9.2, it has the name otto@**** in the apple ID box and will not let me change it. Any thoughts?

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.

Using third part loops in Logic : bpm changes not following by the loop

i use lots of third part loops. with other audio soft when i choose a loop and drag/drop it to my project, the loop follow every change of the project (for exemple changing the bpm). In logic, when i do so, the loop do not follow project changes such as bpm.
Someone do knows how to fix my problem ?

I just found that you can drag/drop your third part loops from the Finder window where they are to the "Media/loops library" in Logic. By this way Logic recignize your loop as apple loop. But it works for apple loop third part loop and not for wav third part loop. For those you have to transform them by the "Apple loops utility" given with Logic. It's a bit long with big loops database but it's the first way I found.

I am trying to download iTunes on to my laptap but I keep getting a "Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\ with a bunch of numbers and letters following. I have uninstalled all the iTunes programs. I changed the Regedit but I still get the error?

But I am still getting the same "Could not open key:" error and it tells me that iTunes could not download.
