Apple mac g5 needs rebooting from cd but it doesnt recognize the wired keyboard  so i cannot give the computer any commands

my apple mac g5 needs rebooting due to me clearing the whole system, however the tower nolonger recognizes the wired keyboard,
so i cannot use the c key to boot from disk.

By rebooting do you mean reinstalling the Mac OS?
You may have to use another keyboard (preferably an Apple one) but also make sure the basics are correct, such as solid connection, not using a USB hub for the keyboard etc. Also plug the keyboard into the back of the G5 (not sure why this works but it does).
