Apple Mac with IE 5.2 problem
Hi All,
I have built a Flash movie at this location:

The site shows up fine under PC(IE, NN and FF), Mac Safari.
But when i type it into Mac IE, it just won't even load the page.
Any ideas? I'm at my wits end.

If so are there any problems doing it?You need and external drive to make a clone of your current installation of OS X. Then you can use DIsk Utility (Apps/Utilities) to divide the internal drive into two partitions. Doing so will erase the drive, which is why you need the clone so you don't loose everything. Then copy the clone to one partition to restore everything and use a Snow DVD to install it on the 2nd partition.

Apple Tv With O2 router Uk problems resolved.
Just reference to any other users in the Uk having apple TV problems. There was a major problem with the Thompson router that made the router reboot time and time again, this messed up the IP address and i think this is where my ATV and home sharing had problems. After speaking to O2 tec support they informed me that a firmware update was available and they pushed it to me. I can report after receiving the update the problem has gone and have run perfectly for six days. I can confirm if you having problems like a lot of people are i am under the impression that the router you use plays a major part in the problem !!.

Board Name: CANT-PI was also having connection issues. If you have a Mac (not sure it is available for Windows)- download iStumbler and see what other routers are broadcasting. You may find that you are simply in a congested area and you are fighting with other wireless routers on the same channel. I ended up getting a new Airport Extreme to give me the dual band and thusfar, have not had any connection issues (and all my devices are wireless, not one hardwire to be found). Now I am a very happy ATV2 owner (of 2 and one day 3). Can't wait to see what they add (they as in Apple or the other guys).

Hi - I plugged the ipod into my apple mac, with itunes already open.
Firstly it deleted everything from the Ipod then everything from itunes library. Now all our music is gone from ipod and itunes. Is this repairable? Thanks!
iTunes delete everything on the iPod is common occurance, especially when the iPod Hardisk is dying.
But iTunes deleting everything in the iTunes library is a bug, can you send in a iTunes feedback -

I am looking to purchase Dreamweaver CS4. Adobe Customer Care seem to be confused as to whether or not it will run on an Apple Mac with a Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5 processor. At the moment they are saying it will install, but the system requirements listed on this site say it will only run on a Mac with Multi Core processor. Please can someone clarify this for me?

Yes, you can run DW CS4 on a Mac G5.
Note that DW CS4 is the last release of Dreamweaver to support PowerPC.

I have a problem with the headset of my ipod nano 4th gen. the right side don't have a sound. It comes in and out. what do I need to do.. I am using the original headset eversince. I tool it to a Apple Mac Cennter and Taked with a Service Center Rep. And he told me that they can't do anything because they don't repair the ipod they didn;t even look at it. I was told instead to buy a new one. I was very disappointed.. This is already my 5th ipod though i am planning to buy a new one.. I still want it fixed so I can give it to my little sister

They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod. -
Someone who can say how to get Adpbe flash player version 11.2.202.197 to work together with Lion on mac mini. Support from Apple can obviously not help the problem and do not care if it works

Applet in Apple Mac OSX problem
Hi all,
have developing an applet long while using WinXP platform, everthing seem ok, but when i try over Apple Mac OSX, i has a loading problem saying that init failed to load ArrayList as error message said:
ArrayIndexOutOfBound, 0...
but when i debug print out the ArrayList content and its length, i'm sure that this ArrayList is NOT NULL and its length is NOT ZERO either. what is happening here? oh, ya, this only happen in Safari, in FireFox for Mac no problem, even Camino also pass the test, why? anyone have idea about this? because i'm new to Apple Mac.
also, there is another question whereby, when i use FireFox for Mac to load the applet, the applet load seem no problem but it just can't display properly. what i mean is that in Windows platform (IE6), this applet show entire applet successfully, but when i try it in Mac, it show only a part of applet without any error, but when i try to refresh the page, applet is now successfully show, why?
lastly, when a button of an applet being click and this will bring a new window with some parameters value, its work on IE in Windows platform, why it won't work for FireFox or Safari for Mac? i see prompt out saying is security problem, is there any workout of this? thanks. to summary out of junk above:

above:Often you can sign applets so they can do things that unsigned applets aren't allowed to do.
Maybe you're making some kind of security mistake that Firefox and Safari are (properly) catching but IE isn't. In any event, post the error message. -
How do I boot up my Mac with the install disk (other problems)?

My Mac ran out of battery the other day and when plugged back into the mains failed to load up other than the blue screen with the Apple logo, followed by the circular progress bar and a long rectangular progress bar (which I assume is disk repair). The disk repair bar tends to get about one-third of the way across, then starts again. After the second time, the Mac chooses to give up and turns itself off - I'm assuming this isn't a fan problem as it seems to switch itself off at exactly the same point each time.
I have tried loading the Mac from the install disk by holding down C on startup, but I can't get to the install screen. I've also tried loading by holding down the shift key, but the system won't load up in safe mode.
I experienced a similar problem earlier this year, but was able to reinstall the Mac and this solved the problem. This time, I'm struggling to get things working. Everything else seems to have been working up until now.
I'd really appreciate any help that you can give me,

Do you mean iTunes library?
iTunes account is what you use to make iTunes purcahses.
iTunes library is what is on your computer.

No, it tells you it can only be sync'd with one iTunes library.
Simplest way is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder (thisis the iTunes library) from old computer to new computer. -

Apple Keyboard with number pad doesn't work with Mac Pro?
I have a Mac Pro, and have used an Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth) with it for quite a while, with no problems. But then my keyboard broke and I ordered a replacement Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth). This keyboard doesn't work with my Mac Pro. I have it plugged in, but I can't get the Mac Pro to consistently recognize that there is a USB keyboard connected to it. What magical stuff do I have to do to get the keyboard to be fit for purpose?
It would not hurt to try an SMC Reset. (But if it does not help, it adds credence to lllaass assertion that the keyboard is not working.)

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Normally the command will produce no output, and the window will be empty. The title of the TextEdit window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that.
Step 2
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Reset the System Management Controller.
Run Software Update. If there's a firmware update, install it.
If you're booting from an aftermarket SSD, see whether there's a firmware update for it.
If you have a portable computer, check the cycle count of the battery. It may be due for replacement.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane. See whether there's any change.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
If you have a MacBook Pro with dual graphics, disable automatic graphics switching in the Energy Saverpreference pane for better performance at the cost of shorter battery life.
Step 3
When you notice the problem, launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the View menu or the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for User, System, and Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the Memory tab. What value is shown in the bottom part of the window for Swap used?
Next, select the Disk tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in andWrites out.)
Step 4
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combinationcommand-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long. -
