Apple made me change my ID, now I cannot play music purchased with old ID's
So, first iTunes let me purchase with my aol.com ID. Then made me make up a new one. Now, had me go back to aol.com and I cannot play my music previously associated with that ID on my iTunes. It asks me to authorize the computer, which I did, and then asks me to do it again and again and again.
I have signed in/out. I have looked for the music on my history of purchases and cannot find the old music anywhere. I tried signing in with my old ID and that did not work. When I hit info on the songs I can see when and with what ID it was purchased so I know it is with the old ID. Grrrr. Any suggestions?
Have you tried....
Using the old ID and password? Sign into the old ID and use that password to delete the account.
Using the new password and see if it will accept that one?

You may still be able to reset the password to your old Apple ID via iforgot.apple.com.
The old tracks will continue to play on the iPhone as long as they are on it but you may find they get deleted if you try to sync with your library while it isn't authorized for your old ID.

Please Help!!!Is it an old Apple ID of yours? If so, then whether the email is still valid or not, the Apple ID is still there. You need to authorize that ID to your computer by signing it onto iTunes and then clicking on Store on the top menu, then Authorize this computer.
If you don't remember the password to that old ID, you can change it here: Apple - My Apple ID
If you don't remember your Security Questions, you can have them reset by iTunes Support:

Installed latest version of iTunes, now I cannot play music through my Airport Express. I'm seeing the message "An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device "living room". I changed my email address a few years ago. I did not have any problems after this change until I got a new computer. Now I cannot play items that were purchased under the previous email. I entered the password that I used and it doesn't recognize it. I tried "forgot your password" in every combination possible. I never received any emails at the old email address. Now the old email address no longer even exists. How can I access these hundreds of items?
The old email address may well still be valid as your iTunes AppleID, however if you have no other email associated with that ID you clearly won't get any automated emails to it.
I still use an old defunct email for my iTunes AppleID.

Itunes 6 works fine now, but cannot play music

I finally got my Itunes 6 to work, but now when i get in, i cannot get any of my music to play?

I have cracked it on my machine.
Now i'm not a techy so forgive the basic language but this is how I did it.
My machine has Norton anti virus. For some reason the version of Quicktime that comes automatically with Itunes 6 is blocked by Norton and therefore messes up Itunes.
I turned off my Antivirus, then downloaded this.
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
Once this is downloaded it seems to override the original Quicktime download and IS accepted by Norton. I then tried Itunes and it started to play.
Then I switched back on the antivirus and it was all fine. I now have my music back.

the songs appear on lightgray color on my itunes but i cannot play or download them again.- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If you can't log into Settings>iTunes and App stores with your new ID them mean there is a problem. Try restting the password and try to sign in again.

Can you sign in with the new ID on your computer?

Depends on what you mean by "changed", if edited your account on appleid.apple.com to use a different email then just ignore that fact it shows the old email and use your current password.
If you created a new appleid then those old apps will always stay associated with the old id, in that case you can only update them with the old password or uninstall them and then redownload them and they will be linked to your current id

When sending a text, I was able to see when the text was delivered and when it was read, then an Apple Genius reset my phone and now I cannot see when the text was delivered or read.

Have you checked your Control Panel to make sure you don't have the flashlight turned on?
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and make sure the flashlight icon (bottom left-hand corner) is not white. If it is, tap on it to turn it off.

Switched to .Mac, now can't play music...
My AT&T email account was going away, so I bought .Mac and changed my Apple ID in iTunes to my new .Mac email address. Now when I try to play music (purchased under the old email), I keep getting a username and password prompt, with the old email address as default. When I enter the old password, it tells me that account doesn't exist any more. When I enter the new email address and password, it tells me how many machines are authorized, but attempts to play songs still come up with a login.
I thought I was supposed to be able to change my iTunes ID. What can I do now?Yeah...that happened to me too one time. I had to restore the ipod and it worked fine afterwards. I don't know if there's another solution but at least restoring it works.

After sync my music disappeared. Now I cannot get music back on phone. I selected playlists and triedeven loading allmusic.I have one song on my phone and cannot load any music back on it. Is there a setting I may have selected that needs to be changed???
Okay. I hope I can remeber all my steps exactly because I fixed my own problem...with absolutely no help from Apple. I opened itunes. I connected my ipod touch to my computer. On my itunes page that shows my songs in the upper right side under the search library box there is an itunes button and since I am connected there is an ipod button. DO NOT CLICK THE ARROW in the ipod button...just click in the mail part of the button. On mine it opened to a summary page that gave info on my ipod. The menu bar has Summary, Apps, Tones, Music and more. I clicked on the Music button. I chose to Sync the entire music library. That replaced what was on my ipod but what was on there was going to be put back on so I was okay with it. I then clicked the Sync button on the lower right side and it sync'd and all my songs are on my ipod again. I hope this might help someone else. Good luck.
