Apple Mail Signature

In Apple Mail, even when i change the email account, the default signature remains in the body of the text and the new signature gets added below it. As such i have to delete the default signature everytime i need to send an email from a different account. This problem was not there in OS X Snow Leapord. Kindly advise whether there is any setting in Mountain Lion which will rectify this.

When you start writing a new message click on the button at the left of the From: field, then "Customize..." I think is the English translation
then enable the field Signature on the right
Now you can quickly change your account signature and the previous one is wiped.

  • How do i add a LinkedIn badge to Apple Mail signature

Does someone know how to add popular badges (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) to Apple Mail signatures.  Just badge icon with a hyperlink to my profile.

Actually I just figured it out.  Within your public profile on LinkedIn is an area for LinkedIn badges on right side.  Click there and it will display several types of badges.  Right click on the badge you want to use and do a "save as" to desktop.
Now go into Mail preferences, signatures.  Copy and paste the icon you've saved to your desktop wherever you would like the badge to display within your signature.  Then go to Edit on top menu and select "add link".  This will open a box where you need to fill in your LinkedIn address that displays right below your profile photo.  Save this.
This will turn the badge into a hyperlink that will connect to your LinkedIn Profile.  To test it, create a new email using this signature and do a test send.  When you receive the test email click on the badge to confirm that it takes you to your LinkedIn Profile.
    Good luck!

  • How do I copy Apple Mail signatures to another Mac?

I'm trying to copy all my Apple Mail signatures to another Mac. Both are running Mountain Lion.

The signatures are located in <login dir>/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Signatures
The .plist files are significant, as they associate the signature to the e-mail account. Though I have not copied Mail signatures to another machine, I would take a copy of the entire Signature folder, and use that on the other machine, adjusting for any differences in e-mail accounts/signatures used there.

  • Adding Photos/Graphics to Apple Mail Signatures

Is there a way to add photos/graphics to the Apple Mail Signature so that it is always there when you compose an e-mail message?

how can you add a personal photo to a Mail signature?
OR, is there another means of including a personal photo with every email sent?

How many people have asked for this feature / capability?  More than 10,000?
As a matter of fact I have never seen it mentioned before. Perhaps only a few people need such an ego-trip every time they send an email.
The normal way is to add a photo within the text or as an attachment. The Signature only handles thumbnails.
But you can send your suggestion to Apple via their feedback link:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
It will be read but you will not receive a reply.

  • Apple Mail signature being added rather than being replaced

When creating a message in Apple Mail, it has suddenly started adding an alternate signature below the default signature, rather than replacing it. I have to manually delete the default signature before sending the email. How can this be fixed? I'm running Mavericks on a 2013 MacBook Pro with 16 GB of RAM, and Mail is version 7.2.

I have several diffeent signatures that I use depending on the specific subject. One is my default signature that is set in the Signature preferences. However when I write an email that requires a differenrt one, I select it from the Signature box at the right of the email. In the past, the selected signature would replace the default one. Now, in the past few days, instead of replacing the default signature, the selected one is added below the default signature. This is the behavior that I would like to stop.

  • Can't get HTML to display in Apple Mail signature

I'm stumped. I cannot get the HTML I wrote to display! I followed all the steps properly with creating a webarchive file, renaming so that it shows up in Apple Mail. But then when I go back in and see the signature, it's there but it doesn't display the HTML ... it just displays the code!
I've tested the HTML code on a webpage, and it works just fine. I have my message format as Rich Text.
The code is (with carets turned into {}'s here for display purposes):
    {a href="http://www.tweetbars.com"}{img src="http://bar.tweetbars.com/azdesertfather.gif" /}{/a}{/center}

I received this idea from several sites that have had people successfully do it ... they all give the same basic set of instructions to do it, and it seems to work for them and those who comment after them ...

  • Apple Mail Signature - How to not double in replies?

On Apple Mail, how might I be able to not have my signature double when I reply to an email? I know I can press "none" but is there any way to autoset it to not include a signature in replies? I do not see a "rule" that will allow me to do this. Thanks!

Do you mean your signature is entered twice every time you reply?

  • Apple Mail Signatures

Thanks but maybe I didn't explain myself correctly
I only have one single gmail account set up in Apple Mail.
In Apple mail you can add more than one FROM address for a single account by adding commas in between the addresses. When you do that and compose a new message, you get to choose which address to use in the FROM field.
But since it's a single account, I can't drag signatures over anything it'd be great if there was an option to drag signatures over email addresses instead of mail accounts.

  • Help with apple mail signatures please?

    Hello,
I've recently purchased a MacBook Pro - running LION.
I am trying to arrange my signatures in apple mail for my business email address and keep coming up against the following:
Everything is fine with the font's etc, it's when I come to placing small icons of the various social media platforms we have for the business and link them to their various URL's. What happens is it places a blue underline between each icon on my signature which looks really naff and also underlines all the "legal" nonsense at the bottom of my email signature (which is all just normal fonts) - which makes it look even naffer!!!!
Does anyone know how I can keep the icons in place with their links to the URL's without having these stuid blue underlines and also how to get rid of the underlines on the legal notes at the bottom please?

You need to assign a link to your button.
If you want to link to another page in your site - e.g. a
contact mailform or something - just click on the contact button
image in DW and browse to the required page in the Link field of
    the property inspector.
OR.. if you want to open an email client with a new message
to tan email address - click on the contact button image and type a
"mailto:" in the Link field of the property inspector... e.g.
    mailto:[email protected]
    Hope this helps.

  • Apple Mail Signatures send as attachments!

    Hello
I have searched all over the place about this problem and not come across a solution.  I know there are lots of discussions on here about it but nothing helps.
I have a signature in Mail which consists of some text and an object (.jpeg file).
When sending emails with just text to people using Windows email programs ie Outlook, the message and signature comes out fine.
If I add an attachment say a word file or pdf, the Signature .jpeg turns into an attachment, so then the recipient has 2 attachments on the email and my signature does not appear correctly.
Like I said, I have searched for hours trying to find a solution, and was wondering if anyone or Apple has managed to resolve this yet and I just haven't found it.
    YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!!
    Thanks

Anything in an email message that is not text must be sent as an attachment. That is not an Apple issue, it is tha way email works. Some email programs, including Mail, will recognize certain attachment types and display them in the message. The recipient might not even notice that the file was sent as an attachment. Other email programs do not do that, and an attachment will always appear as an attachment. If you include non-text in your signature, then some recipients will not see it the way you visualize it. There is nothing you (or Apple) can do about that.

  • Banner wont display in apple mail signature

I have inserted code in mail>preferences>signature but it just displays as code in the message. Here however, it shows as a banner. This is the code/banner

If anyone can come up with a better solution but the nearest I can get to a satisfactory fix is to put the "banner" in as a gif and then beneath it type:
Just click n the link below

  • Apple Mail problems (Signatures)

I recently found out that my company logo which is used in my Apple mail signature is not displayed on platforms such as, outlook. Outlook users receive my logo as a pasted graphic and my text signature as an attachment. This sort of goes against the purpose of having an email signature, especially when used for business. I spoke with tech support at apple, they advised it was a problem with PC based programs. I called Microsoft and they refused to help me, because I was not using outlook. If anyone has any advice I sure would appreciate the help.

I have the same problem !
