Apple mail strips my digital signature from pdf attachments

I communicate with clients through email. I send reports which contain a picture of my signature and a digital hass. Apple mail strips the signature from the pdf files as I attach them.
An aside. I use mobile me and the idisk server. All documents located on the idisk are also stripped of the signature block.
This is not a problem if I use outlook, which I guess I have to switch back to again.
What does apple have against a digital signature

I want to add digital signature on PDF file from C# code. I understand from web that there are some third party license required, or I would need to use Adobe Acrobat to apply digital signature on PDF using acrobat APIs.
What is the licensing mechanisim for acrobat is APIs? What is the cost effective way for applying digital signature on PDF files.

SOLVED: Apple Mail Stripping Omniture Attachments

Hi folks.
Several archived threads around here about Apple Mail stripping attachments from Omniture SiteCatalyst reports.
Just wanted to report that I have "solved" this.
There's something wonky in the way that Omniture sends MIME encoded emails. I have no idea what it is. However, if you enter a ticket with Omniture, they can switch your account so that you do not receive attachment reports with fancy HTML. Instead, the body of the email is text-only and the attachments are preserved.
They can also apply this across the entire domain so that anyone in your organization will automatically get the "fix".

Can I sign a Microsoft Word Document with the digital signature from a MIlitary issued CAC card?

Is it possible to sign a MS Word doc with the digital signature froma Military issued CAC card? It is easily done in Adobe but, I cannot find any guidance for MS Word docs.

Digital Signature on PDF

Hi Folks!
I'd like to digitally sign a PDF document out of an ABAP program or class, just to ensure that the document was not modified by anyone.
In my program I hold the PDF as a binary stream in a XSTRING variable. I convert it into a binary table and use the function module 'SSF_KRN_SIGN_BY_AS' to sign this binary stream. In general, this is working fine (validating it with function module 'SSF_KRN_VERIFY' is successful).
But if I open the generated file with Acrobat Reader, no signature is found.
Obviously it does not work to sign the binary directly, as I did.
How can I create a digital signature on PDFs using ABAP? Do I have to convert it into ASCII or so before? Or: How must a signature be attached to a PDF file?
Our release is 620. Every little hint is appreciated.

Do you mean a X.509 certificate or a digitalized image?
If its the first one, i don't think you can do it with Livecycle Alone.
If its the second one, anything from Paint to Corel will do.

Transfer attachments and Digital Signatures,from a PDF, to Interactive Form

Hi,
I am developing an an application in WebDynpro Java.
I have a requirement that a user A creates a new interactive form & fills some of the details, & then saves the form.
User B then fetches the form & fills the remaining details.
User A can add attachments & digitally sign the form(using digital signatures).
When user A saves the form, the application saves it in the JDT. The application fetches the pdf from the JDT & shows it to the user B.
The problem is that, when the form is displayed to user B, i need to pass a variable(using context nodes) to the form, so that some of the properties(visibility,read-only,etc) of the UI elements(of the form) changes, depending on the variables' value.
For this purpose, i need to use the Form for user B in ""UpdateDataInPdf" mode.
But if i do this, then all the attachments, signatures saved in the pdf form(by user A), do not get transfered to the Interactive Form of User B!!
How do i overcome this problem??
I am using NW7.0 SP13.; Designer7.1, xACF is installed.

I solved this issue using the transferPDFDataIntoContext of the WDInteractiveFormHelper class.
The AIF mode must be set to usePdf.

Digital Signatures on PDFs won't show up on apple, ipad, or iphone

There's another post with the same title, but not the same problem.
We provide our clients with 1000's of State PDFs, and some of them we need to sign. So we give them to our clients with our digital signature on them.
We make the signature with acrobat pro... All PC users can see it just fine, but EVERY apple user can't see the signature.
We've even borrowed an apple laptop to see if we could see it there. Somehow Apple blocks the view of the signature....
You can't see it, or print it. I have had this happen on PCs when we've done "Stamping" or used the handwriting tool, because it puts the handwriting over the pdf, and then the end user would have to go into their print options and click the "Print with markups" option, but this is different. No PC users ever have to adjust their printing preferrences.
Anyone know if there's an adobe or acrobat download i could send Mac users along with the pdfs to make these visable?

The PDF viewer named Preview that comes with the Mac does not support digital signatures. Adobe Reader/Acrobat do, so you could try to convince them to install Reader, but it's not available for the iPhone or iPad.
