Apple Mail will not let me see my Draft

I am using Apple Mail, and ive just compiled an email containing a lot of text and some photos, Then I saved it as a Draft , when I try to open the Draft I get these messages shown below . All my other drafts open OK , Is there any way to retrieve this email draft ..?
*1. The application Mail quit unexpectedly after it was relaunched*
*2. Do you want to reset application settings for Mail?*
no matter what I do I get the same warnings each time.

Delete the draft and try again. You could try selecting the specific mailbox in the drafts folder and using Mailbox/Rebuild.

Sent photos from iPhone to email and messenger on iPad intercepted but now will not let me see them. Help?

If you sent the photos directly from the Photos app, it is quite possible that you selected Message rather than Mail when you emailed them to yourself. I assume that is how they ended up in the Messages app. I also assume that you no longer have the old phone or you could just email them to yourself again. Is that a correct assumption? If you cannot access the photos on the old phone any longer, and you can see them in the messages app randomly, try closing the Messages app completely and reset the device and then see if the photos reappear.
In order to close the Messages app, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to Messages and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

After upgrading to Snow Leopard, Mail will not let me archive any mail. All archived messages re-appear in my inbox (I have tried archiving and placing in the trash bin). How do i regain control of my inbox?

The main differences that can cause a problem are scripting additions (64-bit vs 32-bit and security reasons) and the usage of dates (it is not as forgiving). AppleScript itself is basically the same, so if empty paragraphs are what caused your problems the update would have just been a coincidence.

  • TS2972 My Apple TV does not let me see  vídeos from my Apple devices (iPhone And iPad), but is working Good with pictures And audio in internet radio transmited from my iPhone  And my iPad

My Apple TV does not let me see vídeos when transmiting from my iPad And iPhone, however let me listen music And see the pictures when transmiting from theese  devices.

Ok thank you so much, for your timely response.
    RESPONSES:
    1)   When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC.  I simply used the same iTunes login and account.  I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store.  If I click "Download Previous Purchases"  text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
    2)   I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered.  I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam.  Good response for you.  Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome.  I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
    QUESTIONS:
    3)   So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download?  Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.
    SERIOUSLY.... THANK YOU...
I work in the computer support section for the Military.  The only problem is we use Windows , lol.  Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover.  I go back next month though I hope.  But working in that field gives me the abilty to judge responses that run inside the same vein.  Your response was so awesome that I half thought I might have written it myself.

My apple TV will not let me use my gmail account to log in to Youtube. Is it because it is the same email account I use in my Apple ID?

    I'm having the same problem.
Error message reads: This account cannot be used with Apple TV. Please sign in with different account.
I'm using my gmail account to access Youtube as i do on my Mac. I have a completely different Apple ID account.

  • ICloud Mail will not let me enter a subject in the Subject line

all of a sudden iCloud Mail will not let me enter a subject in the Subject line.  It even alerts me that there is no subject in the Subject line when i send an email but still wont let let the cursor enter anything in the subject line

When you add an iCloud account with Lion or Mt Lion there's no need to add an incoming mail server if you are using the built in mail app. It is automatically configured for you.

  • Apple mail will not open any windows for me.

I have a mid 2009 mac book pro. I upgraded to Mavericks and now my apple mail will not display any screens (windows). When I open it, it will bounce once in the dock then show the nav bar at the top, however most everything like send new mail is grey. I have tried loading upgrades but they won't load to my HD for some reason or another and am at a loss.

Try holding down the shift key when opening Mail.

  • Apple Mail will not load

My Apple Mail will appear to open, but will not allow me access or to perform any actions, like to read the messages, or open them, or send mail.  This has been going on for at least a month; sometimes repairing disc permissions seems to correct it, sometimes it just has suddenly worked, but tonight it will not let me at my mail at all even though I can see my Mail window.  I've repaired permissions, restarted, etc., but to no avail.  When this problem has gone away briefly, every action taken in mail gives the spinning ball and takes forever, but sometimes works and I have my mail back.  If I shut down my computer and restart it the problem reappears.  Anyone else have this problem in Apple Mail?

I am not sure how to link these discussions, so below I am pasting the post that helped me. And here is the link:

This is not a problem specific to Lion, but most recent OS X versions. Regularly I receive email formatted as HTML, which includes JPEG images embedded within them. These images are technically attachments, and as such, Mail.app displays them as a placeholder. Other mail apps will display these images inline, regardless of them being an attachment, remote image or otherwise.
How can I make these images load automatically?
    MacBook, Unibody, Mac OS X (10.7), 750GB, 7200RPM WD HDD, 4GB RAM
This solved my question by louse101  on Jul 26, 2011 3:47 AM
No-one replied, but I found a solution on another board. Run Terminal (do a Spotlight search if you don't know where to find this), and type:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool false
This will force Mail not to disable inline attachment viewing. Obviously, to reverse this, simple replace 'false' at the end with 'true'.

  • Apple mail will not send

Lets see if I can explain this so it makes sense.   A few days ago, my neighbor was having problems with his email.  At that time he was not receiving.  He called AT&T  and they accessed his computer to try and fix it.  It did not do any good.  He has AT&T which goes thru Yahoo mail.  We discovered that the incoming emails were in the trash.  So we moved them and all the emails came in.  He has changed his password with yahoo a couple of times.  Now he can receive but not send.  We are getting a message saying it needs to be authenticated.  I wonder if by changing his password on yahoo, somehow apple mail did not get it.  We cannot go back to the old password because yahoo needs numbers with the password and the old one did not have any numbers.  All the settings seem to be fine and I am not sure if the password has anything to do with it or not.   HELP.
    Judy

Thanks, we cleared it out.  Just needed to change the password in the mail preferences.

    Hi!
I understand that Computer 1 is synced and you see something like this when you access the Sync Tab under Preferences: https://support.mozilla.com/media/uploads/gallery/images/2011-01-27-15-46-25-9c0352.png
And in Computer 2 you get a window similar to this: https://support.mozilla.com/media/uploads/gallery/images/compcode.jpg
But when you click on Add Device the following window doesn't appear: https://support.mozilla.com/media/uploads/gallery/images/2011-01-27-15-46-48-5f59d1.png
Is this correct? If so, please let me know what you see (a screenshot will be handy).
You can also set up the second computer following this instructions: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How%20to%20sync%20Firefox%20settings%20between%20computers#w_what-if-im-not-near-my-first-computer

  • HT2646 Apple TV will not let me select my language during initial set up

Apple TV will not allow me to select my language during the initial set up.  It simply stays on the initial first page saying I can select my language.  Unfortunately, every time I hit "select" on the remote, it will not recognize that I am trying to select my language (English).  Therefore I cannot get to any of remaining set up.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Check you are using the correct location in the Apple TV store settings.
Try changing a few details and changing them back before updating when you verify in iTunes, also check that your details are correct (ie that you have filled the state field out properly and so on)
Rentals don't just show up on the Apple TV when you have rented then on your mac/PC,you need to transfer them.

  • TS1368 My apple ID will not let me into iTunes.  Please help.

Would somebody help me find out why my verified Apple ID will not allow me into the iTunes Store?  Thank you for your help.

To use iCloud, you will have to change your AppleID to an email address - see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621
The old AppleID rules used to allow you to use any name you wished, but that was stopped a long time ago, and iCloud will not accept such an AppleID, so you will either need to change it, or create a new AppleID just for iCloud.
BTW, the apps you are downloading have nothing to do with iCloud or your iCloud account.  The cloud icon in the App and iTunes stores merely indicates the app lives "in the cloud" as the storefront is an entirely internet based service.

  • Apple Mail will not store my password

10.8.4 Mail will not keep 3 of my account's passwords. They are all IMAP hosted at Dreamhost. I can access them on my iPhone, iPad, and web just fine. I've:
    - rebooted
    - reset the passwords at Dreamhost
    - deleted the accunts from Mail and added them back
    - run the keychain firstaid (no joy). The passowrds do not ever show up in keychain
    The Console continually shows:
9/4/13 10:47:17.197 AM Mail[4619]: Error updating the value of the Internet password for [email protected]@mail.xxxxxxxx.com: -25295
9/4/13 10:47:17.197 AM Mail[4619]: Error finding an Internet password for [email protected]@mail.xxxxxxx.com: -25295
The password field under Mail ->Preferences-> Accounts is blank, even when I retype it, save it, click a different account, and immediately look at the problem account again
The weird part is that my mail comes in sporadically, but then Mail will ask for the password, I key it in, and immediately the same box pops up asking for the password. It's like there is a "glitch" with it saving it into the Keychain, but like I said, Keychain First Aid didn't pick up anything.
    Any thoughts?

    @Eric- Keychain wasn't locked
@Linc- Thanks. I did that and got the following from the Console:
    9/4/13 1:51:17.023 PM com.apple.SecurityServer[16]: Sandbox denied authorizing right      'system.keychain.create.loginkc' by client '/Applications/Mail.app' [336]
    9/4/13 1:51:18.245 PM sandboxd[495]: ([336]) Mail(336) deny authorization-right-obtain      system.keychain.create.loginkc
So i figured that the Keychain was corrupted. I tried FirstAid again, but it didn't flag anything, so I deleted the Keychain file.
Update: Ok, so after resetting the Keychain and getting error messages that the Keychain file was invalid, I figured the file was corrupted. I reset the default Keychain (http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1544) and then ran Keychain First Aid (http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7296) and that fixed it. All of my Keychain passwords are wiped now, but Mail is communicating with Keychain just fine.

  • Apple Mail will not work without webmail login

Spontaneously 2 weeks ago I got a triangle next to my Apple Mail Inbox and could neither send nor receive email. I have used ATT for DSL and my email address for over two years without this problem. I have checked all my settings with ATT and they claim they have even "rebuilt" my mailbox and all is good. But unless I use a browser to log into webmail first, Mail will not work. The user name/password/port info is all correct, but Mail cannot connect. Even when the "keep me logged in" box is checked when I log in to webmail, Mail will stop working if I close out the browser and put the computer to sleep. This is driving me crazy.

I've had what sounds very similar issue with another DSL ISP: Qwest.
Ran both Comcast & Qwest simultaneously (alternately, not really concurrently)
for awhile & got sporadic blips & failures to connect.
I never could establish conclusively whether it was the ISP, or a local client problem.
I think its the ISP. Had other email annoyances with them that never quite got resolved
Sometimes my mail was left on the webmail server & never got delivered & would do so, same as you describe.
Its never anyone's fault, or problem...
I doubt they'd tell you if it was an issue on their end, if it not resolved.

  • After recent updates from Apple, Mail will not open.

After recent updates from Apple the mail icon on the bar will not open.  Only way to access mailis through Google, rather than the dock.

These fixes have helped others, depending on the situation.
Have an up-to-date Time Machine or other backup before attempting any major software updates or rebuilds.

A general repair to fix odd behaviors in Mail is  Mailbox > Rebuild.
    Try booting in Safe Mode.
Boot and when you hear the bong hold down the Shift key.
It will boot slowly.  Be patient.
              Login the the user account.
              Restart.
    Another fix:
    Shut down Mail.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Copy and paste the following
    ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/
    Click Go.
Move all "Envelope" files to your desktop.
Restart Mail and let it convert/reindex your mailboxes.
If this worked, Trash the Envelope files file that are on your desktop,
if not shut down Mail and put them back.
    Another fix:
    Shut down Mail.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Copy and paste the following:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.mail/Cache.db
    Click Go.
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and try Mail.
    Another fix:
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Copy and paste the following
    ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/
    Click Go.
Move all the Accounts.plist to your desktop.
    Restart Mail.
If this worked, Trash the Accounts.plist file that is on your desktop,
If not shut down Mail and put it back.
You can try restoring mail from a Time Machine backup.
Hold down the Option key and in the Finder Go > Library
    Enter Time Machine.
Select a date and time from when Mail was working.
    Restore Mail.
