Apple mobile device doesn't start

Hello,
I am French, excuse me for English mistakes ...
I have a laptop with windows 7 64 bit Intel Core I5, 4 MB RAM.
When installing the latest version of Itunes for windows 7 64 bit, I systematically the message "failed boot the Apple Mobile Device Service" and the installation is then interrupted.
I performed the following steps in vain:
- Tried to start in config panel manually Apple Mobile Device service but I return "error 1053 the service did not respond quickly enough to the launch application" and "Windows could not start the service"
- Uninstalled all Apple software on my computer
- Uninstall the previous version that worked very well in 2013
- Cleaned up the registry with CCleaner
- Stopped and re-started the computer
- I then proceeded to complete reinstall Itunes which always stops with the same message.
- Fixed records with ccleaner (updated)
- My windows 7 64 bit is up to date
- Check the version of iTunes downloaded from the Apple site
Thank you in advance for your help

For general advice see  Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies. The notes below the box include tips on removing troublesome components.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
Judging from similar threads I would try the "for older video cards" version.

  • Apple Mobile Device Failed To Start

    Hi,
The other day I was trying to update iTunes to the latest version and there was an error which advised iTunes should be uninstalled and then reinstalled.
Following this I have uninstalled iTunes and attempted to reinstall in, however I am now faced with the following error "service apple mobile device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services"
I have searched and found the work around to uninstall all apple software in a certain order and the attempt to reinstall. This hasn't worked, I've tried to start the service itself by going to administrative tools - services but this doesn't work.
I am trying to instal this on windows 7.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Chris

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start. itunes does not recognize my iPhone4.

I decided it was time to resync the music on my iPhone since its been months. I begin the sync and after a minute or so, my iTunes suddenly does not recognize my iPhone and freezes. I honestly have no idea what happened but was undaunted.
OS is MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1
    Now, after trying:
    - updating to iTunes 10.6.3, which stops installing after a popup saying "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. With the options Abort Retry or Ignore. Retry does nothing. Ignore allows iTunes to install but it doesn't recognize my phone still which is all I care to use iTunes for.
    - uninstalling all iTunes, Apple, Quicktime, and Bonjour software, which was difficult to do since you have to follow a particular order or else they wont actually uninstall.
    - performing a registry clean using CC Cleaner
    - wiping my compter's apple related Temp files in app data..
    - restarting with a clean boot... updating all drivers.. updating windows..
    I am becoming quite daunted.
I have done essentially every single thing I could find that might resolve this error. I restarted and tried again (this is the third or maybe four time) and it still will not install.
I cannot get any third party software to recognize the phone either since I need that Apple Mobile Device. I could always sync my library with Spotify but that's cumbersome and makes me not like my beautiful iPhone.
Any help would be AMAZING. I've run out of ideas.

The link above is bad... that account has been suspended.
Just an FYI, I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and had just downloaded Itunes 10.7 for this platform.
Please know that I have NEVER plugged any Apple device into this great computer.
I have the new Iphone 5 READY to plugin and in ANTICIPATION of installing that phone; I first wanted to start by installing Itunes without any hardware potentially messing up the works.
I have the exact same problem as reported here and in about 100 places here at Apple.  Please note this system has never seen ANY of these apple applications including quicktime, Itunes, Bonjour, or anything else from Apple for that matter.
So basically, I'm stuck.  I've read the articles at about 20 sites now and it looks like this is a SEVERE and widespread problem; however, I have yet to find a "real" solution.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.  I'm an IT/Telecom Expert and it took me 3 hours to get the Iphone 5 setup and working properly (mainly because of the screen not working sideways for 95% of the configuration options and being forced to fat finger settings) including everything working with Icloud hosted contacts, facebook, a few networks and getting my gmail out of the way (of Icloud and facebook) and finally getting everything rocking, only to hit the wall when it came to Itunes.  Kind of a drag if you ask me.  (I'm thinking the Samsung Galaxy III that I returned to get this thing might have been less grief; but I guess we'll see).
Anyone with a real fix, please reply!  I could use the help BEFORE I try to plug this phone into my computer!
    Thanks!

  • Error message received -  Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start  system services.

I've done it 6 times the steps you mention to get this thing to work but still it doesn't work for me. I've downloaded iTunes, installed it, and again the same message it's going on Error message received -  Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start  system services.
I've deleted iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update and Bonjour, restart my computer and downloaded again (6 times) and still doesn't work for me. What should I do?

I deleted all Apple products you mentioned above (iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update and Bonjour), deleted the prior downloads I had previously tried to install and then emptied my recycle bin.  Then I started with a new download of iTunes before the problem was solved for me.
It really ***** that Apple does not give any direct support for its own products.
    Good Luck

  • Vista itunes not installed correctly.  Error 7.  Windows error 998.  Itunes helper not installed correctly.  Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start.  Insufficient privileges.

OK, spent about 25 frustrating hours so far this weekend doing everything recommended on numerous threads here -- uninstalling and reinstalling itunes and all Apple items.  Help?
I am using Windows Vista home premium.  After the last iTunes update to 12, it suddenly would not work.  I followed, to a T, all instructions to uninstall all Apples software, in the correct order, reboot, download the latest iTunes, run as administrator, plug in the iPhone 5S, let the driver install, and then finish.
Along the way, I received the error that "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."  I am the administrator and have privileges.  (I previously followed instructions from anther thread to change the read-only privileges for Apple folders, but to no avail.  I also deleted every file with the word Apple in it after I uninstalled everything.)  I did a retry and then an ignore during installation of the AMD error, which I have received 10 times.
The other error I keep getting is:  "iTunesHelper was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7."  I have done that 20 times.
Other frequent error:  "iTunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 998)."
I followed other threads suggestions to install Windows .NET versions 3.5 and 4.0.  No help.  I also looked for various specific Apple files in various folders for DLLs, etc.  Not present.  I have rebooted 50 times and tried different users on my home account as well.  Nothing.
I also followed instructions to Manage my computer under "services."  Under Apple Mobile Device, the setting is for "automatic."  When I try to get it to "start," the error I receive is "Windows could not start the Apple Mobile Device on Local Computer.  Error 1053:  The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."  (I followed previous thread instructions to use the CMD prompt to stop it.  That caused problems because the status was then "stopped," but I was able to restart it later once I figured that out -- but with the 1053 error again.)
I think I've tried every suggestion in every thread for the four errors I keep getting (AMD failed to start; iTunesHelper Error 7; Windows error 998; and AMD Error 1053.)  I am fresh out of ideas and very frustrated.  I mostly want to make sure I don't lose my music and photos, which I was about to sync.
The only other thing I see that is strange on my computer (which I discovered along the way) is that I cannot receive automatic windows updates and have not had an update since 2012.  My iTunes worked a month ago, so that was obviously not a show-stopper in the past, but perhaps there is a Vista update I need for iTunes 12?  I have service pack 2 for Vista.  I have followed all threads to try to set my windows to automatic update, but no joy there either.  It checks for updates and then fails.  I followed instructions and did run an installation to install windows automatic updates, but that doesn't work either.  I tried 10 times.  It runs and takes a while, but is never able to successfully update windows.  It says "checking for updates" for a while.  Then it dies.  My last update was 6/19/12 (failed) and it says the most recent check was 6/22/12, but I have tried 20 times on 10/31/14 and 11/1/14.
When asked to "Install new Windows Update software" to check for updates, I have done so 10 times.  It downloads and installs, but never works.
It's an old Dell desktop computer from 2006, and I'm using an iPhone 5S.  I am fresh out of ideas.  Anyone really smart here?
    Thanks.
    Tristan

Upon latest reboot, I also received this error message:  "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005).  Click OK to terminate the application."
Then I got the iTunesHelper not installed correctly error again.
Then the "Windows can't check for updates" error message.
Then "Apple Push has stopped working."  Then a quick DEP error message that disappeared but said something about Apple Push being closed.
I'm also getting denials of service logged by McAffee.  Not sure if I'm getting a virus/attack or not.
Not sure if it's a problem with my old desktop machine, my Windows Vista updates, or iTunes, but I'm very frustrated and out of ideas to try.
    Thank you for your help!

I am trying to install itunes but at the status of 'Starting Services' it tells me that 'Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services". I clicked retry and ignore button but same result.  What shoud I do?

  • Can't install latest Itunes, error "service apple mobile device failed to start

I just finished reinstalling Windows 7 64bit and I am in the process of trying to install the latest Itunes and it gives me a few errors during the install process.  First error is "HRESULT:  0x80070BC9", it also had some other stuff before that but didn't take the time to post it.  I click ok and the install process starts over again and gives me a different error which says "Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start, make sure you have sufficient privliges to start system services."    I click on ignore since I don't have any apple mobile devices and the installation continues on until it gives me the first error again and will eventually quit.
I downloaded the file from Itunes website like I always have in the past and never had any trouble.  Could this have something to do with me just finishing reinstalling Windows?  Is there something that needs to be installed in order to install Itunes?
Just thought of this, I don't have all the Windows updates installed yet, still in the process.  Should I wait until Windows is finished updating and then try to install Itunes again?

Yeah, the 1935 errors referencing 0x80070BC9 (you're getting a 1935 error even though the iTunes installer doesn't return that error message number with the message) can be associated with having Windows Updates still stuck in the pipe, or pending completion until the PC restarts. Keep stocking up on the updates, restarting the PC whenever requested to do so. Once you're up to date, can you do the iTunes update?

Remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS
If the issue continues after restarting AMDS, then you'll need to remove and reinstall AMDS and iTunes.
Completely uninstall AMDS, iTunes, and all Apple software. Click the appropriate links below for steps:
    Windows XP
    Windows Vista or Windows 7
    Restart the computer.
Download and install (or reinstall) the latest version of iTunes from  www.apple.com/itunes. Installing iTunes will also install AMDS.
    Restart the computer.
Start iTunes and connect the device. It should be recognized properly in Windows.
