It shouldnt be this difficult to install a program. All this just because of some upgrade that wouldnt install and messed up itunes and made it invalid to even open.

What does service "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start mean? I have been trying to download the new version and a message says please verify that you have sufficient prvileges to start system.

If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes, make sure you follow all of the steps in this link:

This section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.

How do I fix this problem??
I received this Error Message while trying to install on my netbook again. (Service 'Apple Mobile Device' Failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I had Itunes on already but it stop work so I uninstalled it to reinstall it but it wont work.Have you looked at the previous discussions listed on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This"?

I have already uninstalled itunes, all the related programs and I cannot reinstall, this Apple Mobil Device message stops the install.

So how do I get my ITunes back?Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
